Went on opening night. Staff so friendly and welcoming. Really great decor including quirky cheese grater lap shades over the bar. Loads of reading material if you fancy a trip there for some 'me' time. Plenty of cheese to chose from and a good selection of wines. Great job guys !!

Well we have had a fabulous night tonight celebtating our 21st wedding anniversary with Pek and Wanley, and the fabulous hosts Hannah and Callum on their first anniversary. Here's to many more brilliant years of the Hops and Cheese. Made some fabulous friend too!

We stumbled across Hops and Cheese on a visit home for the weekend. We loved it and feel Hartlepool is crying out for something like this and more to follow hopefully. Cheese was amaze as is the beer and such a lovely couple who run it...will definatley return on my next visit home ���

We had my husbands birthday get together here yesterday and it was brilliant. Hannah and callum worked very hard to make sure we all had a good time. Have visited lots of times and we love it. Great drinks great cheese and a very friendly atmosphere. What's not to like?

Really great place. Good choice of well kept real ales and scrumptious Scotch eggs and pork pies. Wide range of excellent cheeses. Well worth a visit!

Popped in here yesterday with my husband for a few drinks and was really impressed. The variety of drinks that I hadn't tried before but intend to try all of over my next visits �. Will definitely pop in with the kids one Saturday afternoon for a couple of drinks, games and scotch egg. Definitely not going to be our last visit.

Our first visit and it was really great. Good concept, very friendly staff. Good selection of beers and cheeses which they change every month. Would highly recommend this place. Only negative there is no proper coffee machine but that wouldn't stop me going again x

Myself and a couple of my mates have been a few times over the last few month or so and we've all thoroughly enjoyed it every time we've been in. The warm welcome sets the ball rolling From the offset. With a top selection of ales and spirits on offer, it's a great place to visit for either a quick drink or even for a night out. We've ended up staying for hours at a time the last few visits. The added bonus of being able to enjoy a wide variety of quality cheese, a pork pie or different filled scotch eggs as you drink only make you stay longer! What's not to love about that eh?! This works hand in hand with the very relaxed and chilled atmosphere which is enhanced by the decent selection of music in the background. Also, I dare to say, we've been drinking our body weight in Clwb Tropicana on every visit too!! We will be back again shortly for another pint.....or two!! 👍🏻🍺😘

I love a good g+t and was not disappointed with the great selection. Excellent customer service and a nice relaxed atmosphere.

I had one of there cheese toasties yesterday. Wtf, that is the best cheese toastie I've ever had.......EVER.

Great place very relaxed i sampled the Brewdog 5am saint and Northumbrian Blonde which both were lovely drinks, having the option to have a few nibbles at the same time was a great extra, definitely be back �

Even though I live at the opposite side of town, Hops and Cheese is officially my local. Callum and Hannah are great hosts and now great friends which contributes to a fantastic atmosphere. Oh and the beer is fantastic too!

Beer is gorgeous especially the Hartlepool brewed Beer �️��

Been a couple of times now, such a nice little place. The tiny rebel tropicana ipa is lush and I'm buzzing somewhere in pools is selling delirium. I hope you guys plan to rotate some of your beer taps so the town can be introduced to new beers every couple of weeks. Cheese and meat boards are a treat and the scotch eggs are probably the nicest I've had.

Lovely atmosphere

A lovely place, something a bit different for Hartlepool. Great beer and drinks selection. Didn't have any cheese this visit, but the platters looked lovely. The couple who run it were friendly and have some great ideas to keep it fresh. I'm definitely going to be a regular here.

1st visit yesterday..spent a few hours sampling the great beer and cheese. We tried 6 of the hand pulls & they were all great & well looked after. Cheese selection was fantastic accompanied with gorgeous olives, crackers, bread and chutney. Lovely atmosphere can't wait to return.
