Visited twice now, most recently with Alison, she gave one of the best haircuts I've had (and I'm very particular)! Service and atmosphere are second to none at this barbers, would highly recommend!

Popped in for advice as my beard was a shaggy mess. Spoke to Abbie (? Spelling) who told me what we could do. She was informative, helpful and really nice. Booked a hot oil and beard trim there and then. Had the appointment a couple of hours later. A superb neat trim and advice given. Will certainly be going back.

I’ve enjoyed being a client at House of Gentleman for about six months now. I like everything from the warm welcome, cold beer and the capability of a barber who finishes my hair with a straight blade razor when I have a maintenance cut.

I’ve been coming since the shop opened and would recommend to anyone. Great craic, lovely chilled, blokey decor and the staff are amazingly talented. Thoroughly encouraged me to grow a beard, much to the dismay of the wife. My 9 year old is also well catered for and loves the complimentary pop, whilst I have a cheeky beer! Not sure I’d stretch to the intimate waxing mind, but I’ll keep coming back. Great work guys, keep it up!

I visit regularly and travel from Morpeth as I find it the best in the northeast by far, see you soon for my next appt guys thanks.

I have received two treatments on the top floor by Sophie. The back massage was legit the best massage I've ever received, and having received treatments in some highly rated establishments, as well as Thai massages in Bali, I can confidently say that clients are in good hands.

Her waxing skills are also fantastic. Having never received a treatment before, Sophie was quick and the treatment on a whole was painless.

I have been going to House of Gentlemen since I moved to Durham one year ago. I love the place and its cool decoration. I usually get my haircut with Kyle and he is outstanding, and I know from friends who also go there that the entire crew is amazing. I highly recommend the place.

I booked a full body massage here and it was excellent. Recommended it to a friend and they weren’t disappointed either. Definitely would return.

Highly professional establishment, highly recommend it for any gent wishing to have a top quality service, the staff do a cracking job of creating a very relaxed atmosphere and making you feel welcome from the moment you walk through the door, till the moment you leave.

You have to book early to avoid disappointment, but well worth it.

Had Clipper cut and razor trim today, done by Matt,

Girl taking booking makes a crackin cuppa and real friendly.

Matt did a great cut, straight forward clipper job, however, he took his time making sure looked sharp and finishing razor neck etc, All leading to a ctackin cut for reasonable price.

Worth travelling that couple extra miles for !!!!!

Last time I went in they apologised because they would be running 15 minutes behind, didn't bother me whatsoverer, even waiting for your appointment is a pleasure, sat in a comfortable chesterfield enjoying a fresh coffee, catching up on the news. 👍

Damon is a shamawesome barber great with my five year old although he told him he was the cleaner lol would recommend this guy to cut any head my eldest lost 2 stone off his head with a fab cut yall book up check in look sharp ���

Booked my boyfriend in for the 'something for the weekend' package. Couldn't be happier! The service was amazing! Everyone is so lovely and friendly and my boyfriend is over the moon with his hair and beard! The shop itself looks amazing, the staff are so friendly. 100% could not recommend yourselves anymore! This is our third time using House of Gentleman, (my son and husband), the first experience with Matt was outstanding, my husband had booked in for The Work. It was brilliant, Matt took the time to understand what my husband wanted. Since Matt has left, the whole place has gone down hill. My son was booked in with Damon this morning, but with out any contact what so ever, he was charged to Alison, when i contacted the place, they said he was always booked in with Alison, even though I had the email conformation from April.



My husband this morning was booked in with Shane, first he was booked in with Matt, but Matt sadly left, then we were told it was Edward !! My husband is very specific with his hair cuts and bread trims, so its disappointing to find that he is very unhappy with todays service. Asked by Edward if the length was ok and my husband told him it was more than short enough, he still carried on chopping away. The whole hot towel experience you get when you book The Works was non-existent.



Sadly we won't be back to this ONCE GREAT salon.
