Imagine Me

Don't forget our first session this week is Thursday 6th at Wakadayz. Mondays at the Forum music centre starts back next week - Monday 10th
The Monday morning Start Studio and a Thursday morning Head of Steam sessions are no longer running (so I can walk my children to their new school each morning).
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone soon!!

I apologise for the short notice about the cancelled sessions. My children got offered places at our local primary for September just before the summer holidays and are desperate to walk to school every morning (we've had to drive for the last three years). They are only young for a very short time, so I've decided to clear my mornings for now.
Adventurers are welcome to move to one of my other afternoon sessions. Watch this page for special one off adventures and our very popular Christmas special being announced soon!

I'm off to Goldilocks Playgroup this morning for an adventure into the deep dark wood! With our trusty map in our paws and our little mousey tummies rumbling, we're looking for the best nut tree in the wood!!

We are flying off to the rainforest this week... But something isn't right! Where are all the animals?...and what's happened to the water? A worried little treefrog tells us news that send us on a quest - past monkeys, hippos, spiders and snakes - to save the animals.

Our sister group, Identity Youth Theatre, are launching a new Tuesday session. All the classes are run by Jo and children can join as soon as they start reception at school. Why not pop over to our page and have a look at all the things we have been up to?

Unfortunately I'm still not feeling better, so tomorrow's adventures at Head of Steam - Darlington Railway Museum and Wakadayz are cancelled.
Sessions which have been paid for in advance will be refunded next week.
We will be back next week looking for "Tiddler" - he blows small bubbles but he tells tall tales!!

Unfortunately I won't be at Wakadayz this afternoon due to the ongoing snow but they are still open - so why not pop along for a play, something lovely to eat and a warm drink?

Tomorrow morning's session at The Head of Steam is cancelled due to the weather. I will refund this session next week.

Due to the weather, the Imagine Me! session today (18th Jan) at Wakadayz is cancelled. I'll be back next week for our Bear Hunt!

Thursdays 10-11am The Head of Steam, North Road Station, DL3 6ST
The Head of Steam is host to our special sessions, including our recent Christmas Special. Just off North Road, it has a free car park and a small train to play on outside.
... If you want to stay after the session why not use the museum? You can pay for just one visit but it's only £15 for a family Pass which last all year and covers 2 adults and up to 4 children.
With a place for hot and cold drinks, a playroom and a child friendly museum to explore - it's worth every penny. Incase you were wondering, they haven't asked me to promote them, but I spent so much time here when my children were small (at least once a week - with a picnic) that I had to tell you about it...we still come regularly! One of the photos is of my daughter playing in the playroom a few years ago. And if all that isn't exciting enough, they run "Station Scamps" on a Friday morning which is £2 for non-members or free for family Pass holders.
I can't wait to start our session here!!

The Forum is round the corner from The Hippodrome and The Hullabaloo. It's in the town centre and has a lovely cafe bar that you can meet in before or after the session.
... You could also pop into The Hullabaloo before or after the session to use their free play space which is amazing! (I've had a go! - Make sure you talk into the little trumpets to hear a recording of your voice played out from the wall...and jump on the lily pads to see what happens!).
The Forum has been the venue for several of our performances at Identity Youth Theatre and has also recorded radio plays that our members wrote and performed in their recording studio. We love it here and I'm sure you will too!

Wow! What an enthusiastic group leader Jo is! Attended a taster session today and was really impressed. The children were absolutely engrossed! My little girl isn’t quite 2 but joined in (admittedly not the full hour) because of the vibrant, active and exciting story telling! Can’t wait to see how my little girl progresses each week. Really understanding of the different age groups and expectations �

What a fantastic lady Jo is. An amazing party from beginning to end the children were hooked and so were some of the adults!! Would recommend Imagine Me to everyone! ��

What a fantastic group/class!! I have taken my daughter to other drama/story telling groups in the past but they were nothing compared to this. The children are kept entertained from the minute they walk into the room to the minute they leave, their imaginations are brought alive and their attention is captured throughout. After 3 sessíons, confidence levels are through the roof and it is fantastic to watch/hear my daughter transfer her skills to playtime at home. We look forward to this group every week!

Poppy's first time at Imagine Me...what an absolute treat. Today Poppy went on an adventure to Cinderella's Palace - they turned into mice and helped Cinders get to the ball! Just brilliant!

My sons really enjoyed the 'Going on a Bear Hunt' workshop this morning. A really fun workshop perfectly pitched for little ones. Looking forward to the Gruffalo workshop! Thank you!

Just had our boy's third birthday party using imagine me. Jo came along to take the children on an adventure and they all absolutely loved it. From start to finish Jo was truly amazing and highly professional. Highly recommend

Jo is incredible! She's so talented and clearly enjoys her job! We regularly attend her Thursday classes at Wackadayz and my 4year old loves it! Jo did my daughters birthday party today! What a success! Jo's ability to engage 17 children (ages from 1-6years!!) is incredible! Thank you so much! Xx

I don't know how this lady does it but she does it very well! Fully captivates the imaginations of children! Having seen her do so time & time again I just had to have Jo entertain at my daughters 5th birthday party this afternoon! It was an 'into the woods' theme specifically requested & carried out magnificently! Thank you so much again Jo!

I booked an Imagine Me birthday party for my little girl thinking it would be nice to do something other than soft play and bouncy castles. What we actually got was amazing. Such attention to detail, fantastic imaginative play for everyone involved, high quality resources and planned to a 'T'. My daughter and all her friends had a fabulous time, the parents loved it too, they were able to sit with a nice cuppa and watch their child's imagination grow by the second! I had people asking me about Jo: "where did you find her? She's amazing!"

Thank you a million times over for a truly superb birthday party, that even impressed the in-laws! Xxx

Can't praise Jo at imagine me enough. She has every child hooked from the moment she starts. My little girl can be a little shy but the way Jo encourages and engages her is amazing. We love imagine me and would 100% recommend �

Jo did not disappoint, she was amazing from start until finish, seeing their little faces and using their imaginations was fab, they were engaged throughout. If you're after something a little different from the norm then Imagine Me can certainly deliver that. Xxx
