Well its the day of the Final South Tyneside free festival today starring Heather Small, Rebecca Ferguson, and Atomic Kitten. What can we say the events have been great so far and today well let's just say the forecast is for truly British festival weather, although dont let that ruin the fun of enjoying the festival.

We’ve been coming to Indigo for many years now and the food is really good. The staff are really helpful and very friendly too. In our opinion this is the best Indian restaurant in South Shields

Went on Monday for birthday meal for 9 including 2 children. Staff were very friendly and food excellent decided to come back for my birthday next month can't wait

We visited the Indigo as a party of 13 to celebrate several family birthdays. We all ate from the Special menu which starts from £7.95 for starter, main course, rice/chips, coffee/ice cream. With a wide variety of dishes, and the option to pay extra for king prawns etc there was something for everyone.



When you have a party of this size, many restaurants would struggle to get all the dishes out at the same time, to a consistently high standard, and to the satisfaction of all the customers - but not the Indigo!! Everything was absolutely 'spot on'!! Customer service was at just the right level - helpful without being intrusive. Left-overs were boxed to take away and the youngest guests supplied with lollipops.



There's a fair bit of competition on Ocean Road - we've eaten at most of the Indian restaurants and this is the only one we return to again and again. Thanks to Mr Choudhury and all the staff for another great evening!!

We have been going to the restaurant for many years and live that they now offer a delivery service.

Ordered a delivery on Friday, which took longer than estimated and then our main curry was incorrect. Contacted the restaurant who sent an immediate refund, we declined a replacement due to the time. Despite this they insisted we had the correct curry another night.

We called in without booking last night and were told we would be unable to have a table for at least half an hour but were made to feel very welcome and offered drinks while we waited. As it happen a table paid the bill and left within 20 minutes so we were seated straight away. Staff were very friendly and helpful and food was lovely..a great way to round off our day. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Ordered from here last night; chef started to make the wrong curry we were informed so we're provided with original order plus on extra curry free of charge. We weren't disappointed, curry was amazing and will defo be ordering here again, purely by chance we hadn't ordered from our original place-but glad we tried this. Thanks for freebie! �

Love the food in Indigo. The staff are always friendly and never pushy. The menu is great and the service is always quick love it . It's our favourite curry place in South Shields and we com over from Sunderland

Love going to Indigo, had a fabulous meal last night, I was torn between 2 curries could not decide so was given a small portion of each one. Staff are very friendly and take time to check that customers are pleased with their meals.

Have been here a few times for family meals, the staff are really friendly and helpful and the food is really great and loads of choice on the menu and happy hour menus would definitely recommend and will be visiting again very soon.

Had a fab time last night at Indigo. Islam and his staff were lovely and really went out of their way to help. Couldn't fault the food at all it was absolutely delicious and will definitely go back there again. Thank you ��

First trip to indigo after a friends recommendation! What a superb meal we have just had! Special menu and great portion sizes! As for customer service this is the best I have had in a long time eating anywhere. So friendly and take an interest in your experience, my husband who is ocean road born and bread said it was the best curry he has had on ocean road in a very long time. Observed the manager going round and speaking to every table making sure they were enjoying there evening and food! 10/10. Would highly recommend!!!

A friend recommended indigo and we've been going over the last 3 months trying several different meals from their menu. The food is delicious and the guys are very friendly without being overbearing. We have also recommended it to other friends and family and they have all said it is spot on . . . . Highly recommended
