About Jacksons Wharf Hartlepool

Two for One, On All Main Courses, All Day, Every Day.

Jacksons Wharf Hartlepool Description

The Jackson's Wharf is situated on Hartlepool Marina, adjacent to the Hartlepool Maritime Experience, with a spectacular view of H. M. S Trincomalee, Britain's oldest warship afloat! The wooden frigate - previously called H. M. S Foudroyant has become the symbol for Hartlepool. We offer a warm and friendly environment, where you can enjoy a refreshing hot or cold beverage from our wide range of drinks, we also have a selection of cask ales, which are brewed from one of our five breweries located throughout the UK. Our Two for One on all main courses gives you great value, whatever the occasion with something to suit everyone, and also a large selection on our specials board which are changed daily and also part of the Two for One. Here is the ideal place to hold a small family gathering, whatever the occasion or even a business lunch. Or simply come and enjoy our views overlooking the marina on our large patio area, whilst listening to the birds over head. Join us every Wednesday from 8pm for our professional fun quiz, consisting of general knowledge, family fortunes and picture round to name but a few.

We went to the Marina for lunch, but with it being a hot sunny day every bar/eatery on Navigation Point was heaving. So we decided to try Jacksons Wharf for the first time, seating ourselves outside overlooking the Marina.

Our meals (both steaks), were ready in a very acceptable time & were delicious. Also they stocked one of my favourite beers, Hobgoblin on draught, which went down a treat.

The staff were very informative & courteous, & looked after us 100%. No complaints whatsoever!

We enjoyed our first time at the Jacksons Wharf very much, & so I'm sure we will be returning! Well done!

User

We visit here quite regularly and find it has a lovely atmosphere, staff are always helpful and always check if everything is ok with food and is there anything else they can help with, it was very busy when we arrived as it was mothers day but food was served quickly and was lovely and hot, we all enjoyed our night as always!!

User

Love going for food never dissapointed would recommend it to anyone and staff are so great x

User

Have visited several times with my husband love the choice of food and drink and the friendly atmosphere and welcome made by the staff it's one of them places I keep going back to never get tired of the place xx

User

Called in on the off chance (on Mother's Day!!) after having avoided it for about 2 year due to bad experience and bad frozen food! Expected poor service and bad food, totally changed our minds. Friendly service, told food would be around 30-40 mins, fine with that but come in about 25mins, all veg fresh and gorgeous puddings and meat. Will def be returning, well done Jacksons wharf management/chef 👍 Xxx

User

Absolutely gorgeous meal couldn't fault it xx

User

A perfect family meal for at least the fifth time, the staff can't do enough once again and the food was amazing as normal, well done to Matthew John and his amazing staff for running a fabulous pub, 10 out 10 any day of the week.

User

Nice setting. We sat so we over looked the water. The staff were friendly and the Sunday dinner we had was lovely. I would definately recommend those amazing yorkshire puddings.

User

Myself abd husband called...our first visit. Had the fish, chips and mushy peas..we both enjoyed the food very much. Good size portion, hot and ready within the stated 30 minutes. Two for one so bargain too. Nice service..we will return in the future.

User

Lovely meal good service and a beautiful view out the back.

User

Myself, daughter and grand daughter went for food at tea time yesterday. The staff I cannot fault but my meal wasn't very satisfying. I got fish, chips, mushy peas and tartar sauce, when I got to the middle of the fish it was quite watery and not thoroughly cooked. I told one of the staff who apologised plus told me he would have a word with the chef, my daughter and grand daughter loved their food but myself, I don't think I will be ordering the fish again.

User

It's ok but not fond of cardboard food and wilted salad or salad you pay over the top for when you can easily buy fresh from a supermarket. Prices don't match the quality of food I'm sorry and you can't state otherwise I know this. Stables prices (I'm basing on facts here) When you match prices to your level of food to a place that doesn't microwave food(but your cooks do) I can't state it's quality hence my not eating here or my family or friends. Freshness is where it's cooked fresh from a fridge etc not where it's frozen and microwaved if it's frozen or in a packet then cooked it's not fresh it's cooked upon request but that still doesn't mean it's fresh. Locally produced ingredients cooked upon request is fresh. Your restaurant is a good one with nice friendly staff hats off to them that's quality and easy to cook food for days where families want the burden of not cooking at home it's pub grub food it's standard but I don't want to pay the prices for that level of food I'm sorry. I come to have a social drink but end up in another place to eat. The score is for the food not for the staff or restaurant as id score both your staff and restaurant very highly, just not your food it's a shame as well.

Went here teatime yesterday last minute decision after ordering from the menu we waited over 30 mins till we see the table next to is having there food who came in 15 minutes after we did. My husband went to bar to ask where our order was and was told it was on its way. Finally it came to table to see that it wasn't what we ordered so when we complained we were told our meal was no longer available on the menu.. so they changed it without asking us instead of prawn skewers with our steak they put defrosted prawns on top .

My husband asked for his to be removed as he won't eat prawns like that and I decided to just eat mine we were hungry by this point. But as I cut into my steak it was blue and cold when we order medium so by the time waiter came back with my husbands meal we had had enough so asked for refund. Witch we got the money back for our 2 meals and was still charged for the bowl of chips and drinks we ordered with no real apologies we were discusted with the way it was delt with .I felt sorry for the poor waiter who was sent to our table with 14.50 refund for the meal and we left . Fair to day we won't be returning

Went for a Sunday afternoon ride out and stopped here for some lunch. Ordered the brisket beef cottage pie, not very tasty at all, you could say it was bland...... lovely setting... lacks something, can’t quite pinpoint what though...

User

Went here with my partner and kids last Saturday the food was a joke I was ill on the Sunday then had to take my son to the hospital to be told he had food poisoning. Told manager when I was there to be offered a free drink to be quiet honest just wanted to get out. Never again will I be back

User

Visited on Sunday for lunch with my parents, my husband and our 17 month old son, both myself and my mum now have food poisoning - awful stomach cramps and vomiting. Just glad my son is okay! I have visited a couple of times in the past and the food has never been fantastic but decided to give it the benefit of the doubt - never again.

User

Ordered a child’s chicken burger. Chicken is harder than a wooden baseball bat. Real let down. She can’t even eat her lunch after waiting 50 mins but it’s almost empty. Bad customer service.

User

My friends and I have been coming to this pub as our local for the past three years, coming in atleast three times a week and more, I have had nothing but good things to say about the staff however, due to a change of management the whole atmosphere has changed!! And this evening ( baring in mind I was in the pub for food a drinks last week and last night) I came to the pub with my family I go to the bar and the manager who I have spoken to a fair few times asked me for ID! I was quite taken aback due to the circumstances. I know it’s the law and if I don’t look over 25 they must ask and all that stuff... but I was more offended and disgusted by the fact she said ‘I don’t know you I’ve never seen you before!’ I’m not exaggerating when my friends and I spend over £100 a week atleast ( £20 on two meals each as there is 4 of us) a bottle of wine is £12.05 so I hope you can see why I’m so upset!! I felt like she couldn’t care less!! I’m not a valued customer as she hasn’t bothered to even get to know the regulars!!

So my friends and I will be taking our custom elsewhere where we fell more appreciated
