106 engine is coming together now

This 106 is bsck in for a head gasket.. Which turned into a bigger job quickly

Miestro in today.. Cam belt.. Cross threaded plug replaced.. Uprated intercooler.. And fuel tank refitted

We had a leak in the MG fuel tank so let's hope this seals it.. If not we may need the drill...

And finally some work on the van.. Cooling nearly sorted...

Insignia in for a head gasket and the micro car all sorted and driving like a cement mixer..

It's always good when you stumble on a fault. When I wiggled the wiring I head it all spring into life...

No pics today but a busy old day.. finished the clutch .. checked a knock on a 106 GTi fitted a hdi rail sensor on a 1.4 bipper which was a two hour pig of a job... And to finish got the micro car running... At 19.00... I am off home...

And yet another clutch today but this problem arose...

Random breakdown today trying to get this thing started... Don't think it is quite a car...

Ford transit mk6 collected late Sunday afternoon and returned by dinner time the next day with a new clutch in it.. jim looks after all my vehicles including my 205 gti which he specialises in.. he's not a modern day fitter he is a old school mechanic.. great service, great price and great guy..
