Check out the amazing transformation of Oliver Bainbridge! After gaining a lot of weight, he knew he has to make a change. He decided to join JD Gyms and hire Personal Trainer, Ryan Melling, who immediately planned his exercise, nutrition and mind set to put him on the right path.
... The results are astounding, as he has lost a colossal 13 STONE since last January!
Last weekend, he competed in the Pure Elite Body Transformation contest. Whilst he narrowly missed out on the championship (he came a close 2nd), he’s still a winner in our eyes.
But Oliver’s not stopping there. He’s already back in training to compete in similar a contest next June. And this time he’s determined to come home a champion!

Can you have desserts without ruining your diet? At JD Gyms, we think we have the solution! Here’s our recipe for protein pumpkin pie!
• 2 Large Eggs • 1 ½ cup Non-fat Plain Greek Yogurt • 15oz Pumpkin... • 6 scoops Whey Protein Powder • 2 tbsp. Pumpkin Pie Spice • Sweetener (optional) • Maple Syrup and Whipped Topping (optional) . 1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees 2. Spray a pie dish with non-stick spray 3. Add all ingredients of a bowl and mix well 4. Place an oven safe dish full of water on rack below where pie will go (this prevents cracking on the top of the pie) 5. Pour mixture into dish and bake for 45-50 minutes or until just set 6. Mixture will seem soft at first. Place in refrigerator to set for 4-6 hours or preferably, overnight. 7. Top with a drizzle of fresh maple syrup or whipped cream (we prefer without). It’s important to eat healthily with the right mix of protein, fats and low glycaemic carbs. But what if you’re a vegetarian and you cannot consume meat? Here at JD Gyms we’ve got an idea for you; a high protein Mediterranean three-bean salad!
Ingredients:... • ½ pound (225g) green beans, trimmed and snapped into 2-inch pieces • 15-ounce (425g) can of chickpeas (or garbanzo beans), drained and rinsed • 15-ounce (425g) can of red kidney beans, drained and rinsed • 1 cucumber, sliced (about 3/4 cup chopped, 110g) • 1 cup (about 12g to 15g) loosely packed parsley leaves, chopped • 1/4 cup (35g) feta cheese • 1/3 cup (55g) olives, sliced in half • 3/4 cup (100g) diced tomatoes
Combine these ingredients in a bowl (which will take you about 5 minutes) for a high protein vegetarian meal. You can add vinaigrette to taste if you want to. This serves four, so you can pre-prepare these for post workout lunches!

Life can sometimes be hectic, and finding time to prepare meals can be difficult. So here’s a quick and easy meal prep idea; tacos meal bowls!
Combine equal amounts of cooked ground beef, black beans, sweetcorn, brown rice, tomatoes and coriander for a delicious and nutritious meal. Add a taco shell if you want extra carbs, but we think it's fine as it is.
If you don’t like one of the ingredients, you can always substitute it for something similar. ... It’ll take you about 5 minutes to prepare, and you can always make these meals in advance. Healthy food that’s easy to prepare – there’s no excuses!

Was very impressed with the new gym when I visited today, great equipment, and loads of it, fantastic studios and lovely changing rooms where you scan relax in the sauna after your workout. Friendly and enthusiastic management and PTs. I had already joined before my visit and don't regret it, now I'm just looking forward to getting into the classes and using the equipment. Very reluctant to leave my old gym SR2 after many years of being a member 💗 but decided to give JD a trial and I have to say I really enjoy the classes that’s on from 6.15 am onwards , staff are all very friendly and the atmosphere is great 💪🏼

The gym is second to none. The PT’s and staff are approachable, knowledgeable, informative, helpful. They ask you what your aim is, and they help make a routine that is challenging but effective. I asked Chris for advice. Looked at what I was doing, he made a few suggestions made a few tweaks I’m getting better workout in less time. I mentioned an injury that occurred from my hospital physio. He gave me specialist website which has helped. Other staff member’s are available when ever you speak to them they always friendly and positive. If your thinking about joining? Do it you won’t be disappointed

Really impressed with this gym. Plenty of good equipment with plenty of staff on hand if you have any problems. Currently having PT with Kat and I can't recommend her enough.

Always come out feeling like she's worked me to my best with a good variety of exercises. Excellent classes too. Altogether an excellent gym x

Fantastic gym. Been for a look around today and can say I was very impressed indeed. Big thank you for the tour around and for a look at the fantastic equipment available. Fabulous studio and spinning room (both on the ground level...bonus) even the amazing changing rooms with sauna. A wide range of classes as well all included in the price. Big well done to Kevin and team for getting this gym up and running. I'm sure this is going to be a huge success with such a friendly team.
