Went for afternoon tea for my friend's birthday treat... A lovely relaxed atmosphere with lovely fresh food, nothing too much trouble for the lady who looked after us. I have had afternoon tea twice previously and I will be back again in the future.... Well Done Judges

User

We stayed there for two nights with a group of 6 friends and had a great time. On the first evening we dined in the Dom Perignon room which was just perfect for us. Tim (with the help of Hobbs looking on) also took the time to explain the history of the room which was very interesting. The second night we went into Yarm and had an equally good meal in an italian restaurant called Da Vinci. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful and we will definately return.

User

We have just spent a lovely weekend dining and staying over at Judges, and both the food and the service were amazing. We were very well looked after thanks to Hasan throughout our stay. Prior to this visit we got married 8 weeks ago at Judges...and again we can't thank Suzanne and Kim enough for all their help along the way, we certainly had a special day to remember! We look forward to visiting again in the future.

User

We had our wedding here on 5th May 2018.

All I can say is WOW. Suzanne, Paul and the staff were amazing and made the whole day run as smooth as possible. Nothing was ever an issue and the service was second to none.

Our guests raved about the food and the venue and how amazing the day had been.

The gardens around Judges are beautifully maintained and make for gorgeous wedding photos!

Thank you once again to everyone at Judges for making our day asbolutely perfect!!

User

We are wedding photographers and had the pleasure of working here today. I would like to say how pleased we were with the staff there. So helpful and courteous. The venue itself is stunning. Inside and out. Unfortunately the weather was awful so never got chance to explore the grounds but looks great from what I could see. Its somewhere I would consider for my wedding when I eventually pull my finger out.

User

Totally amazing venue Suzanne an Paul pulled out all the stops with getting our wedding on track as it was so over filled with events an people but no pressure at all went a look smooth an had the best day of our lives brilliant staff venue an grounds can't comment on the food as was far to busy to eat but it looked great x

User

This place is stunning, the grounds the hotel the food... the staff are all fantastic, we have stayed here a few times and each time we stay we enjoy even more ...

User

Myself and my wife have just got married at Judges on 28th July. We both can not thank the staff for making our day so special. Paul and Suzanne we very attentive throughout the process of hosting our wedding. On the day they and the staff were always on hand to react to any changes that had to be made (especially for our late call to have an outdoor wedding).

I can honestly say I recommend Judges to every couple looking to have a wedding at this venue. We had the perfect day and that was in no small part to Judges attention to detail.

We look forward to spending our anniversaries here for many years to come.

User

My sister got married here on 1st Feb, an amazing place and fabulous staff, everything went like clockwork. Staff couldn't do enough for us. If your thinking about getting married and looking for a wedding venue then you need go no further than Judges, recommend this place 100%

User

My daughter got married here on 14th July 2017 and it was amazing the Hotel is gorgeous and the staff were brilliant, Thank you to all of you who helped make Hannah and Matthew's day so special especially to Suzanne and Paul, everything was absolutely wonderful from start to finish we will be back. The staff couldn't of done enough for us. Love this hotel and the grounds are amazing. Thank You all so much, we will be back xx

User

I went to the judge's for my niece's wedding. The setting is perfect. The staff where helpful. I was on crutches. It was very flat and I didn't have to cope with any stairs at the venue.

My only criticism would be no disabled toilet that I could see. And the toilet cubicles where very small. It took some maneuvering with crutches. ... don't know how a wheelchair would do it..

User

Hi, we had our wedding at judges on 26th august 2017 from the day we first visited to our wedding day the whole thing was handled brilliantly by there staff they couldnt do enough for us, paul was outstanding on the day the food was beautiful and the whole venue and grounds are fantastic overall fantastic venue, staff and so happy we choose judges for our wedding we can not thank you enough thanks again Marc and Vicky Smith

User

Great wedding venue, had our wedding here in August 2017 and had a fabulous day. I've been back since a few times and each time has been lovely. I found the drinks prices quite reasonable contrary to what others have said- I've paid more in a resteraunt on linthorpe road for a pint xxx

For the second year running, The Judges Country House Hotel was the only destination for our office Christmas party. Checking in at various times, everyone was greeted with a warm welcome and shown to their rooms, which were traditional but luxurious, spacious and spotlessly clean. Throughout the day and evening the staff could not do enough for everyone. The hotel, grounds and evening function building were beautifully decorated to put everyone in the festive spirit. With such a large group for dinner, I expected long waits and a little bit of confusion but everything ran smoothly, the food was excellent and the staff were fun and friendly. After a wonderful nights sleep there were plenty of cooked to order options for breakfast to aid the recovery from the night before! We reluctantly checked out and were treated as though we'd just walked through the door. I Would highly recommend this hotel for any kind of function or weekend getaway. - MotorVise

A massive thank you to Judges the the most beautiful wedding day on the 27th July 2017 from me & my new husband. Amazing venue lovely staff and incredible food 5 star can't recommend more highly Thank you! X

User

Had a reasonable lunch, couple of bottles of wine, spent a while and around £200 for lunch, yes it’s expensive and surprise it was dead..!!

The nasty bit, one of the party left a driving licence there and the hotel said they would post it back for £5, that’s after spending £200 on lunch for 2, sick, or what, you judge..??

User

Great location. The setting is very beautiful.

The staff when we arrived were all very friendly.

The room and the facilities were OK, and the room we stayed in spotlessly clean.

So why a score of three?

The room we were allocated was in the ground floor, on its own , passed what turned out to be the kitchen and staff areas.

All was good until around 6.30am on the Sunday morning when staff started “moving stuff” , crashing and banging about generally.

Not deliberately I’m sure, but loud enough to wake me and keep me awake. I could hear there conversations etc. There was an outside gate that kept Slamming shut when the staff came in and out.

Breakfast is only served between 8 to 9.30am, on a Sunday!

If I’d known this prior to booking I’d have looked elsewhere.

The breakfast, priced at £19.95 a head I believe, was a bit pricey for what was offered. But it was OK, I guess.

I’d have let all this go but for the unfortunate response when checking out.

We were asked the usual question, “how was your stay”. I responded saying all good except the noise and being woken up. The lady’s response was one of disinterest .

Shame.
