As well as the recent position we advertised, we are also looking for a supervisor to join our team. You must be available evenings and weekends, have previous professional kitchen experience, have a ton of energy and enthusiasm, and a passion for vegan food. You guys really do love pizza! We have been unbelievably busy this weekend, and sold out of pizza! We have been extra busy prepping double of everything, so we will be ready for all your pizza needs ;-) they will be back on the menu this afternoon.

i wish this vegan take out shop was next to where i left live so i don’t have to go all the way to byker for it but it was worth it as it was lovely and the food is delicious, we need more vegan take away / cafes shops, and can you’s open another junk it up around shiremoor area, i’d be getting food all the time then 😁☺️ thank you for the lovely food i’ll be back again sometime. x

Visited today and LOVED it!! We had the fricken, fries, coleslaw, doner kebab and garlic mayo and it was all absolutely divine. The fricken is crispy and juicy, the kebab was absolutely delicious, fantastic fries, creamy coleslaw and the best garlic mayo I've ever had! Very generous portions at a great price, worth travelling from Cumbria for, thank you, our family of four ate till we were stuffed and still had leftovers!

The food was too die for, i got the fricken burger with cheese, chips and onion rings. As soon as I finished the burger I wanted another one � would highly recommend going. Also the staff were really friendly �

The best fake meat we've ever tried. We got fricken pieces, bbq fricken kebab, fricken burger and fries. We travelled from South Shields to try it and it was totally worth the drive. My girlfriend is a meat eater and loved it. Fries portions could be bigger for £2 and the dips could be a bit bigger too. Overall though, can't wait to go back. Highly recommend it.

Just had the most amazing vegan food from Junk It Up. Really surprised by how nice it was! Couldn't even tell that it wasn't real meat, all packed full of flavour and really good value. Would recommend for everyone to try - fantastic addition to Shields Road

I’ve had three meals delivered and they have been fabulous each time. I love the Fricken in a bun, tasty, filling and goes great with their homemade coleslaw. The onion rings and fries make it to me in a warm state too, which is impressive. I’ve tried the cookies and the other chocolate lovely and they are so yummy. I will be back.

I’m not vegan but my teenage son is and it’s great that he can have takeaway as well . He said the food is amazing ( he’s tried everything lol) .

The food is always well presented and the staff are always very polite .

He’ll be ordering again tonight �

I'm not vegan, or even vegetarian (I know, soz) but my wife is and so we were desperate to give this place a go. Thankfully they started delivering to our area (NE3) yesterday so we ordered a little bit of everything last night. The food was fantastic, I really couldn't fault it. We tried everything on the menu apart from the tandoori kebab (which we'll try next time) and it was all amazing.

I ordered online after hearing amazing things about Junk it up, and I was so impressed! I ordered the munch box and it was amazing, the fricken chicken is the best vegan chicken I have ever tried. I would highly recommend Junk it up to everyone!

I met two lovely ladies at the vegan fair today at the Assembly Rooms and they gave me a sneaky sample of the frickin' and it was just so fricking tasty, I thought about it for the rest of the day, so much so that I went with my friend later that afternoon to Byker and had the frickin kebab. So very tasty and lovely staff

Frickin LOVE this place (see what I did there... frickin... �). One of my omni hubby’s favourite places to eat and the frickin chicken is just � it’s fast food that’s actually really blummin tasty!



Plus, got a piece of quadruple megalicious chocolate brownie today too and fell headfirst into vegan scrumptiousness heaven.

Food is always perfect, been more times than I like to admit..... Would recommend to anyone who wants really good food!!!!!

First time trying and I got the munchie box so could try a few different things. It was amazingggg ���� the fricken, chips and coleslaw were my fav � the kabab was really big and full of salad and stuff so really nice to � I’m vegan &I’ve never ate meat for 17/18 years and I still can’t believe there’s a vegan place like this on Shields rd (times have definitely changed ����) the only thing with the kabab was it was moreless cold by the time I got in (which was only a 3min walk) but cold or hot I would still buy as it’s so nice � would definitely recommend to anyone � also I’m quite fussy with meat substitutes but I loved it. Coleslaw was best vegan one I’ve had to and u get a big pot for £1.50 � looking forward to trying the burger with cheese and stuff soon �

Best vegan chicken ever! Literally the best kfc imitation there is! The donner was great too! The only thing I can grumble about is the amount of packaging, great you can make your kebab as you wish but individually wrapping each component is such a waste of packaging!!

Absolutely necta. We got the munch box and everything in it was delicious. Even the garlic mayo was amazing. We were travelling back from Scotland on the way back to Teesside but will definitely make the trip back up again as it was so good �

Tasty alternative to meaty fast food.

It's all vegan, but it's the self-indulgent quality of the food that's emphasized.

The menu's small, but delicious. The help is considerate.

It wasn't precisely fast, I had to wait a little bit for my order - came out hot and freshly cooked.

Been there a few times now, always tended towards the stuff with less vegetables in being the picky vegan I am. So mostly the chicken! Ten piece bucket is a great price and brilliant to "share" and although I love other vegan places chicken I do feel it could have more flavour / spice as they've always tasted just a bit plain and I've had multiple times. Girlfriend absolutely adores the pizza fries and seemed continuously happy with the stuff she said so pretty good. Just tweak the pricing of the condiments, get a few more drinks in, perhaps an alcohol license .... and season the chicken a bit more!

Whilst what we had was tasty I was disappointed with a few things-

they wont serve tap water so had to buy bottled water :-(

The seating area was freezing so sat with coats on the whole time.

I felt it was overpriced compared to other places.

I really wanted to like it but dont think i'll be rushing back.

I've been eating here for a few months now and I absolutely love the food and the service is always good craic! Having a place to pig out in every now and again, without funding cruel practices and knowing my moneys going to an independent business is awesome. I tend to get a munch box or a kebab as they're much better value for money I feel than the rest of the menu. I've found the prices for the rest to be a little high and the fact chips aren't included at some of the amount has left me turning the cheek a bit.

I haven't let that digress from the quality of the food as I love to eat here, however I've heard a few people say the prices are a bit steep and for that reason I reckon a small reform to the costs would help the flow of return business.

Consistency is key.

It's early days though and you've obviously been doing well to thrive with the model.
