Very comfortable, breakfast yummy, bar was good, reception staff great but the only thing that was wrong was we paid for a late check out but the housekeepers still banged on the door to get in to clean the room even though the do not disturb sign on the door too, woke us up as we wanted to kip a little longer before we headed back home to travel 100 miles, they even shouted through the door at us which I imagined would have annoyed other guests too, that needs to be sorted. I would recommend though as it was a lovely hotel.

User

Staff were so friendly at reception, in the bar and at breakfast. Breakfast was absolutely the best hotel breakfast I have had in a long time. Sink had a massive crack in it and toilet flush was slightly dodgy but apart from that was a great stay and definitely would stay there again if ever back in Newcastle.

User

Myself and my hubby had a very enjoyable stay from the 5th to 7th of April, the room was amazing clean and very comfy. All staff are jolly and friendly , breakfast was out of this world. Loved every minute of our stay. Thank you x

User

Just arrived and place is beautiful and staff are very friendly пњљ great area alot around and not far to walk to center

User

Brilliant. Everything about our stay was! The staff were especially a highlight. They helped me out loads when I needed assistance and they were just all genuinely friendly. Room was clean and comfortable and everything was just bright and pleasant. And I found my journal thankyou reception staff for checking for me! пњљ

User

Best place to be if going to the Arena for a concert. Love staying there. Worth it for the comfy beds, where you're guaranteed a good nights sleep. Also great for tourists, very centrally. Centre for life is just over the road from the hotel.

Highly recommended

User

All staff are friendly and welcoming, rooms are clean and food is excellent. JuryвАЩs inn is 100% my hotel of choice пњљ

User

Very clean. Check in staff really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. Only slight complaint wa that the shower was cold but other than that a pleasant stay.

User

Stayed for 3 nights on business and my only complaint would be the rooms are far too warm and have no air conditioning. Opening the window resulted in noise from the nearby motorway bridge. Rooms are tired but mine was clean.

Staff are great on reception, on the bar and the breakfasts have improved since I last stayed .

Would I use it again, yes if works paying for it !

User

Lovely hotel and very friendly staff .. we stayed here last night as it was very close to the metro arena as were off to see enter shikari that night.. the only criticism I would make is we couldn't get through to room service on our phone in the room in the end my husband used his mobile to ring the hotel and try and order that way really not ideal really apart from that a fab stay and we will be booking again when we are next seeing a band

User

Friendly reception staff (thank you Patricia!) And room was clean however... it was hotter than Satan's armpit in that room!! No aircon!! In this day and age!! Now I know maybe Newcastle might not get a lot of sun, but hurry up & refurb the rooms please! Fortunately we were able to borrow a fan from reception for the night which was much needed! Our room was right over a busy road so having the window open all night wasn't an option. Would stay again, when the aircon is fitted пњљ

User

I had booked a nights stay for my parents and my partner and I for the Michael McIntyre show in May.

When we checked in I asked the reception staff if I could book a table for 4 people for 18:30. I was informed there was no need to book and we would get a table no problem. I explained we were going to see the show and was he sure. I was told again it would be fine.

We came down at 18:30 to make our way to the dining room to be told it was full and they couldn't serve us. We explained the situation and what we were told at reception when we checked in. Still, there was no way of getting served.

As this was a Christmas present from my partner and I, I was totally frustrated and disappointed as I asked to book a table and wanted it booked so we could relax and enjoy ourselves before heading down to the venue as it was only a 5 min walk. But i was told repeatedly there was no need. Our only option now was to find another place to eat, by this point we didn't have a lot of options. We only managed to get in somewhere due to a cancellation, (baring in mind it was a bank holiday weekend, everywhere was busy) it was now 19:05. We had to order our food and eat it before 19:45 as the kind female from the restaurant had booked us a taxi to take us down to the venue as we were a good bit away from it now.

This was very poor show from Jury's Inn and we were not happy with how it was dealt with when I explained to a staff member the next day. All that was said was "I'll pass it on".

The four of us were very stressed and ended up rushing our food simply because a member of staff thought it would be fine not to book us a table when I asked, as in their opinion they were not busy...пњљ the place was very busy, as I said before it was a holiday weekend. We've been to jury's Inn previously and have enjoyed every minute of it. But this put a dampener on what should have been a stress free night and weekend. Left disappointed.

Friendly staff, lovely rooms (when clean but il get to that), good location, the only things to fault are the cleanliness and insulation. Can here these two girls laughing next door currently and all the doors slamming every two seconds. Also, my friend was sick first night we got here and I was told to clean it up and given stuff to do so, I thought ok fair enough cause itвАЩs our fault so I cleaned up best I could but the room stank of sick afterwards and I had to put all our sheets and towels, including the pillows and duvets, in bags and put them in the hall so my first night me and my friend slept on bare mattresses freezing cold with the room stinking of sick. We went out and came back the next day and thought yay a good nights sleep tonight with nicely made beds and no more sick smell. Wrong. Still no duvets, dirty sheets, still smelling of sick (I think this was down to the carpet not being washed/hoovered) the only thing that had been done was fresh towels put out. I understand that the sick was our fault but I didnвАЩt think it was fair to let us stay in a room that we paid good money for when it was unhygienic. I phoned reception and they sent someone up but all we got was new duvets. The girl that brung them up even said to me she saw the dirty stuff outside but yet she hadnвАЩt bothered to get us new clean stuff? IвАЩve seen another review where a girl had complained about the room smelling of sick from a previous guest so I just hope something gets done about this room before someone else stays in it. Really not happy that I still need to stay in this for another night.

User

To start on a positive note the staff are very friendly. However car parking is a lottery with 200 rooms and spaces for about 30 cars with no provision for discounted rates at nearby car parks. Executive room is executive in price only - would be a standard room at any other hotel. Now to cap it all off there is no hot water to have a shower! Never ever heard of a hotel running out of hot water before!

User

The rooms were not cleaned. Executive rooms are actually a standard room compared to other hotels. The safety was a threat, the hairdryer started smoking and I had to complain about this to the reception; but no one attended it. The hairdryer was hot and melted while I returned to my room in the evening. I had to yell at the staff to get it sorted. Not a value for the money. No much food options are available.

User

I chose jury inn instead of other cheaper well known chains and there was no difference for the additional money paid. The superior room was basic and small. There isnвАЩt any nets at the window and you can see in from other rooms opposite therefore if you wanted privacy during the day you had to close the curtains and therefore shut out the natural daylight. The bed and pillows are hard - might suit some. Insulation not good as you could hear outside and other residents inside the hotel waking you up. The breakfast was the worst I have ever had. Cold, it tasted as if it had been cooked in old oil.

It is such a shame as the staff are lovely. All in all the additional money paid wasnвАЩt worth it. Come on juryвАЩs Inn IвАЩve been to a few and this does not meet expectations.

User

Advertised check in from 12. finally got in room at 1:30. Requested extra pillows and told sorry we have run out of them ?? rooms dated but very clean

User

Very over priced for a basic bog standard room. Was like trying to sleep in a boiler room. Constant whirring noise then a high pitched scretch like air being released from a valve . Even the hair dryer did not work. Paper thin wall's. Won't be staying here again.

User

Thanks to Paul on receiption you received an actual score of some kind. Paul was personable, professional and amiable on arrival and throughout.

We didn't have breakfast acknowledged fromthe booking, the fire alarm was intermittent at 12, 1 and 1:39. My hair dryer had less hot air than my ex partner. As you can imagine from these remarks, I'm rather grumpy and disappointed. You're right!

Having stayed in several jury's inn I do recognise this is below satisfactory standard in relation to equipment and interuption to a most comfortable stay. It's a shame as I'll never stay here again.

However, you did ONE thing right, you employed Paul. Thanks to your lack of working hairdryer and alarms I sat through my meeting with match sticks In my eyes and wet hair!

Cheers
