went for some lunch yesterday with the parents, food was really nice and good size portions. Service was superb and the young lady who looked after us was a credit to pub, she had a good giggle with my dad and made time to make us feel really welcome. Will defo come back

User

Went here for a mates surprise 60th birthday party last night having travelled over 220 miles to get there I have to say it was well worth the effort. The Landlady was great as were all the staff, nothing was too much trouble.Special thanks to the young lady who did the table service for us upstairs she was superb. All this made the evening very special...Thanks, Dave

User

We went for a quick bite between visiting times at Wansbeck Hospital- which also happened to be the day of Harry and Megan’s wedding & the FA Cup Final!!! Ordered Steak & Ale Pie with a Jacket Potato & veg; Garlic Chicken Panini with Peppers & Mushrooms, Chips and Salad; Pepperoni and Mozzarella Panini with Chips and Salad plus a round of three soft drinks. The food was superb when it came and the portions were bigger than expected, for the price paid. The meat was very tender and easily chewed, and the Steak and Ale Pie came with carrots and peas. The paninis were very substantial and came with a generous portion of chips & salad. All in all a very good meal, which we didn’t have to wait long for, despite the place being very busy. We will be back, soon.

User

Visited today to take my Mam out to lunch ... staff very welcoming and attentive .... food was served quickly and was delicious .... and no problem to ask for a small portion .... Landlady was very kind and gave me something to take home ..... Thankyou ... we will definitely be back x

User

Very nice first time there in years, an added bonus was a very good gluten free menu which is hard to find in many pubs and restaurants.

Will definitely be back, there was lovely young lady behind the bar who was very friendly and helpful didn’t get her name.

The Keel Row is without doubt the most genuine dog friendly pub I've visited.

We at Team Doggy Days had a school trip recently and had our 'picnic' at the Keel Row with some of our clients dogs. They loved it...treats and doggy beer or Pawsecco - what's not to love .

We all loved it too, great food and fantastic hospitality. Can't recommend the Keel Row and their staff highly enough. Thank you

User

On the 4/8/18 we had our wedding reception and night time party here and all I can say is it was fantastic everything went like clock work the food was fantastic every one of our guest said it was beautiful not only that all of the staff are brilliant, Sharon and Vicky are lovely they make you feel so welcome and it feels so like home from home I will always be great full for everything you done for us you all played a big part in our happy day thank you so much xxxx

User

Lovely afternoon tea for my sons "family birthday tea"! Fantastic sandwiches and scones and plenty of cake, tea and coffee! Highly recommend! The balloons were a nice touch too!

User

Just want to thank Sharon for excellent customer service and professionalism, rang in a panic yesterday as the venue for my daughters 6th birthday and double booked and cancelled us. Sharon advised the upstairs room didn't have much space for children to run about in, but if we were stuck then she was more than happy to accommodate us. Also gave us a phone number of a local venue to try, really helping us out! Knowing how busy they get on a Sunday afternoon I was extremely grateful for her help. Thankyou Sharon xx

User

Have just got to say while up visiting family we called into your family funday and what an amazing day we all had . User

Great welcome, very friendly and helpful service and the food ......... we had 2 of the fillet steaks on the hot stone, which were the best we have had for a long long time. Enjoyed cooking it to our own taste and the value is exceptional. Thank you. See you soon

User

Called in for lunch today with my husband. I have been coeliac all my life and was very impressed with the range of food on the gluten free menu. From starters to mains and even sponge puddings ,yes sponge pudding Needless to say I had to try one as its a first for me to be able to have that choice of dessert . I had the lasagne for my main and was very impressed. The staff are very knowledgeable, I think the girl who was waitering on us was called Abbie and she was spot on

We shall defiantly be returning

User

Been up this evening for a late tea. Had the sharing platter between 4 then the Sunday roast. Absolutely beautiful. Great value for money too. Couldn’t fault anything on the plate. Sat outside with the dog. Very welcoming. Highly recommend. Worth the visit. Can’t wait to visit again. Thank you to the staff and the locals.. much appreciated.

User

A group of us attended for the Royal Wedding afternoon tea. An amazing afternoon!! The food was great (especially the nachos I ate afterwards whilst sitting in the sun in the beer garden). They catered for my gluten intolerance which is a massive thumbs up. The staff are great and it’s now a firm favourite.

User

Lovely relaxing pub , great for family’s especially ones with doggies because there welcome too I’ve been quite a few times for afternoon tea with family and friends and really enjoyed it , they’ve just recently changed it too the sandwiches or much better with different types of buns and fillings with a side of crisps and as much as you want tea or coffee but I would say the cakes are not as good as they were before I would like to see them have cheese scones too as a choice as some of my party didn’t like fruit scones, but overall lovely place , lovely staff and reasonable price

User

Came today for lunch tables were filling up fast and a young girl was on her own seemed she was doing the work 2 could have done especially at lunch time. She was welcoming and made sure we was enjoying our meals but we didn’t stay for pudding has she seemed to have to see to others and not get back to us which is a shame. However apart from the confusion of a jacket potato on a ploughman’s and the steak and ale pie being a bit bland it was nice and we will be returning. Friendly staff was a bonus
