Sometimes when we book your driving test. It’s a target to work towards!
Sometimes we may as driving instructors, get it slightly wrong.
Sometimes waiting lists can be up to 3 months, so we take this into consideration.
... You may be asked to move your test back, this isn’t because you're not good at driving, or your instructor is rubbish. It just means you need more time to work on everything before you go for your test.
Please respect your instructor's decision, as we have to consider our insurance, our car, and your confidence.

The cost of car insurance for under-25s is eye-wateringly high and expected to continue to rise. The average cost for a 17-22-year-old is already over £1,300/yr. However, you can cut costs.
10 ways to cut new and learner driver car insurance costs:
1 - Don’t assume 3rd party is the cheapest
... 2 - Adding additional drivers can cut costs i.e. your dad or Aunt
3 - Getting Insurance 3 weeks ahead can be the cheapest time to buy, and save £100s
4 - Never auto-renew
5 - Multi-car cover can save you £100s if you live with your parents or have more than one car
6 – Tell the truth and only the truth
7 - Legitimately tweak your job title to save £100s (an editor is cheaper than a journalist)
8 – A telematic box can save you £100s
9 - Set your excess right without breaking the bank
10 – Invest time by comparing many websites (even compare, compare websites)

Take note!
Remember this is just a guide. If you’ve had a skin full it could take longer for the alcohol to leave your system. Don’t take the risk! Drink driving, whether it be intentional or by accident ruins lives !!!

2 things to learn from this video.....
1. I don’t teach you to always look over your shoulder before opening your door for the hell of it!
2. Less space less speed! When driving through a narrow gap ALWAYS reduce your speed. This will make it easier for you to stop in a situation like this

It’s the day of your test, you are sitting in the Test centre, there are three other candidates there waiting for their tests!
You hope you can remember your manoeuvres, how many turns is it on the parallel park? Your mind is racing your mouth is dry, what lane is it you go into to go straight ahead at a roundabout? Your mind is now racing, why did I allow myself to be talked into going out that night I had a lesson, missed 2 hours valuable practice there!
... Wish I hadn’t cancelled my lesson and gone down the beach with my friends on that Wednesday afternoon, that was another two hours, how many times do you turn the wheel on the parallel park? My heads gone blank!
Too late the door opens, the examiners come in and call names, your name is called, you sign the sheet, the examiner introduces themselves, take you out get you to read a number plate, you can just about do it, how many turns is it for the parallel park? You get into the car, the examiner shuts the door it’s real now, you hardly hear what he is saying, how many turns is it for the parallel park?
Off you go, the next 40 minutes is a blur!
This scenario is played out at Test centres up and down the country every day, why? Because people think it’s ok to miss lessons before their tests!
Your test! Your licence! Your choice, Your Responsibility!

Too true!

To all who will read this post. From December last year a park right maneuver was introduced to the driving test. In my eyes it's an easy maneuver to perform but dangerous to say the least.
Where the pupil is asked to park up on the
... RIGHT HANDSIDE OF THE ROAD THEN REVERSE BACK TWO CAR LENGTH THEN DRIVE AWAY.
So I am asking you all if you see a learner driver parked on the right or a leaner car in the middle of the road with it's right indicator on.
Please dont shout abuse or hand gesture at the learner or the instructor as they have been asked by the DVSA to teach for test purposes.
So please stay calm and just drive safely around them giving plenty of room. As this will keep the learner calm and focused.
Thank you for taking the time to read this post safe driving everyone.

Its not worth it is it? Remember on your first day of driving lessons when many pupils say to their instructor 'I dont know how people drive with phones'. Think back to how difficult driving was and still is. It takes a matter of seconds for the road ahead of you to become a different scenario. Do not risk it....You effect yourself, someone else, your family and other peoples families if a crash was to become fatal. Pull up in a safe place if its that important. Its worth the extra few minutes wait. 🛑📱🚘
