Kodokan Martial Arts

Karate and Matayoshi Kobudo which is based around traditional Bujutsu.

We train students from 5 years and over. Giving the first 2 lessons free to try out either Karate or Matayoshi Kobudo. Very freindly Martial Arts Group that has been running since 1992.
Kodokan Martial Arts is well established with over 24 years as a teaching school in Darlington. Our instructors are very friendly and of a high calibre in Anshin & Kamishin Karate and Matayoshi Kobudo Kodokan. This reflects in the quality of instruction and content given to our students. The school of Kobudo is the Head Office for the Matayoshi Kodokan Kobudo International UK Branch, which is associated to Kodokan, the family home in Okinawa Japan. Within each system the students of Kodokan Martial Arts learn their individual art which provides self defence skills and mindset that can be an advantage in today�s society.
Furthermore, Kodokan Martial Arts has taught students that have been novices to black belts from other schools that wanted to learn more than just a martial sport. All the schools are based around traditional Japanese values, and therefore steeped in both etiquette and philosophy.
