This is what Stockton is in danger of losing ... today's whoopsies thanks to Stockton Tesco Community and Co-op Norton branch

Kitchen Witch here... I dont do "emotional" (well maybe I do a little ...shhhhhh) but I have leaky eyes Thank You all so much for your donations and offers of support, we are truly humbled :) we will be looking for Volunteers soon that can work a few hours in Stockton and Thornaby... we will need general volunteers to man the food bank and some good home cooks to man the food....who's in??? #maybethebestthingthatcouldhavehappenedin theend

So this box of miniature toiletries was put outside for people who needed them.... most people were taking one or two bits....but to whoever thought they needed the entire box for themselves....shame on you!

FUNDRAISER!!! OK we are reaching out ...we need to pay off the landlord so we can move on and stay open...PLEASE if you can spare a couple of quid to help us that would be amazing! So... we have news and sadly it is not good news :( our Landlords decided we need to start paying an extra £100 per week than we already do.... so far they have always supported our work by not charging us for electricity but apparently we are using £100 per week (we don't think we are and are currently monitoring our readings on a daily basis) in addition to this bombshell we have also now been told that we are in considerable arrears with our rent. The amount they have qu...oted is in dispute, we have admitted we are someway behind but again they have always told us that it wasn't a problem and that they were happy to support us in our community work by being flexible. Suffice to say due to legislation commercial arrears can be enforced by a collection agency walking in and removing goods without the need for court action, this has been threatened, the landlord is refusing to talk to us directly and the debt agency is trying to plead our case , we are not hopeful for a resolution :( if we cannot sort this out we will ultimately be closing in the next few months if not a whole lot sooner,meaning Stockton will lose a specialist community cafe , food bank, help bank and information hub that helps the most vulnerable and needy in our town. We are at a loss as what to do.... we don't owe what they say and even if a payment plan is agreed for the alleged arrears we will not be able to sustain the increased weekly costs. We need a new home in Stockton and some level of financial support or we will have to close our doors. ANY suggestions are welcome.
