What can I say! We are in the platinum bbq lodge and enjoying our final night in this amazing area. From the welcome drink, friendly staff, organised activities and the complimentary meals at the boat inn, I really can’t wait to come back! The lodges are fully equipped, clean and loved cooking our tea in the bbq hut. Thank you for the amazing week away!

User

What an amazing place this is! We arrived the day before the "Beast from the East" landed. Waking up surrounded by snow I couldn't think of a more picturesque place to be. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were safe and have everything we needed, particularly Sam, Jack and Tom. Our lodge was stunning and the complimentary cookie kit went down a treat. I couldn't think of a better place to be snowed in and will definitely be returning! Hopefully next time we may experience some sunshine!

User

We recently stayed at kielder in a birch premier lodge. We were a little concerned as the pictures had changed from what we had booked. I contacted them as we have an autistic son who always needs to see where he is staying and the lovely Melanie was more than happy to send us all the info we needed and we felt a bit better about the changes.

On arrival the prosecco welcome was just what we needed after a long drive. The staff were very welcoming and gave us our itinerary as we had pre booked activities (highly recommend you do pre book as some get full).

When we got to the lodge (46) we were blown away, the pictures didn't do it justice, it was huge and very beautiful. The little touches were lovely, there wasn't anything we would of needed. Nice and clean too.

We ate in the boat inn twice, both times were gorgeous especially the Sunday lunch. We also popped in for a few drinks, pool and the bouncy pillow quite a few times, the staff were very helpful and friendly too, we weren't disappointed.

We did most activities, the crossbows on the website haven't been updated before our visit and said 14 and over. When we arrived it had changed to 8 and over, unfortunately it has become quite full and only 2 of us could do it.

The pool isn't massive but as you have to book to go, it never got cramped and we found early evening the best time to go.

The birds of prey centre was so much more than we expected, highly recommend it. The staff are so friendly and more than happy to answer any questions. Our daughter was very unsure during the first show and wouldn't get up, during the break the man spoke to her and eventually persuaded her to hold a very small owl and told her all about them. During the second show he asked her to stand up again and she did numerous times. Thank you to them for helping her and me to overcome our bird Phobia.

We will be back, the scenes were amazing, we were gutted to be leaving. When we came to check out we got complimentary coffee, water and boiled sweets which was a lovely touch.

Thank you for making our holiday the best we've had

We have just stayed at Kielder for my husband's birthday. We all had a brilliant time from start to finish. Amazing clean lodge, fantastic activities and facilities for our children and lovely food in the boat inn. A lovely place to stay and well worth a visit

User

We have just returned after getting snowed in due to the beast from the east. The staff were fantastic making sure we were safe and had enough supplies. We were able to stay until we felt it was safe to drive home. The lodge and hot tub were lovely and the soft play area in the boat inn was fantastic for our son to run off energy as we couldn’t get out much. It was our first trip to Kielder and we didn’t get to see much but look forward to visiting again soon so we can get the full experience.

We have been visiting Kielder Waterside Park since 2014 And although each year has been a memorable one, this year defiantly was the best yet. We were extremely lucky to stay in the new Aurora cabin which over looked the water, it is the height of luxury with everything you need for a week away. We took all the essentials, and ended up leaving them in the car! Having worked in the hotel industry for over 16 years I have very high expectations and it's safe to say they were all met. My only criticism is the cabin could do with hooks for coats near the front door and somewhere outside to dry your costumes.

The swim spa was better than I imagined and a lot bigger, I wasn't able to go in as I'm heavily pregnant but I had the joys of watching my 3 year old jump in and out, swim and splash, all from the comfort of the outdoor corner sofa!

We toasted marshmallows in the BBQ hut, wrapped in blankets, a unique experience.

The stargazing pod is a fun idea and works equally well as a quiet cosy place to kick back and read on a windy afternoon!

We ate in the Boat Inn a few times, even took a take away pizza back to the cabin, the food is delicious and very reasonable priced.

My parents took my daughter to Fairy school, she was enchanted, and so were they. Ingenious idea!

The staff are all so helpful and friendly, A credit to the management team! We are already looking forward to the next visit.

User

Total tranquility we absolutely love this place. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lodge beautiful and spotlessly clean with everything we needed. Some fabulous walks with stunning scenery. We managed the 26 mile bike ride around the lake but it was a killer on the legs! Loved going to the squirrel hide too. We will return.

User

This is the most lovely place. I visited here with my grown up children and my two dogs. We stayed in the lodges which were beautiful and well equipped.

The staff were wonderful and offered 1st class service.

It’s been a long time since I’ve NOT wanted to return home from a holiday or a short break. I can honestly say this is the best short break I’ve had in a long time.

I hope this review reaches the staff teams in the reception, the shop, the cafe, the pool/hot tub staff and of course the bar. It was these wonderful guys who made mine, my kids and my pooches break so great! Thank you. We’ll definitely be back 😊😊😊

User

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Kielder and this year was sooooo good. Stayed in lodge 39 willow platinum bbq and we were spoiled. Lodge so comfy and the wine fridge was a lovely extra, the bbq hut is so quirky and what fun we had in it. The hot tub was great but what i really likes was the fact there were hooks outside for our robes/towels, food in the boat inn was fab as usual and sitting outside in the sun with a drink looking out at the fab view, we went out on the ferry and it was great to see the full size of the reservoir, we came with friends this year and the memories made are priceless. Thanks to Louise in reception and Ryan and Tom for the activities, the kids had a ball 5 stars Kielder

Spent 4 days here last September with my partner and children and have just booked to go again we have stayed at many lodge sites overs the years but this is among the best plenty to do for all ages beautiful lodges fantastic service can’t wait to come back x

User

Outstanding!! We stayed for 4 nights in the beech premier lodge. It was slightly different from the photos when we booked through hoseasons but wow! The lodge was absolutely stunning, we lived in complete luxury! The customer service on site was excellent. We arrived at 3:30pm for check in on Monday at 4pm however our lodge wasn't ready until around 4:30pm however the staff put on free drinks at the bar in the boat inn for us while we waited. The lodge was spotless and received a phone call at our lodge telephone the next morning to make sure we had a good first night. Staff were very friendly in the 24hr reception, got free eggs for breakfast one morning too! Hot tub cleaned early every morning at the same time ready for use that day. We had dinner at the boat inn with our 2 kids which was lovely, staff great with the kids and food was great. Missing a bit of entertainment at night for the young kids though. Something to entertain the kids while the parents chill at the bar would have made the boat inn top notch. We did breakfast at The Hide which again was lovely but a little pricey for breakfast. The bird of prey centre on site is fantastic as is the gruffalo trail at Kielder castle, the app is excellent and kids thoroughly enjoyed it! On leaving at check out on Friday, the manager spoke to us and gave us a free gift when leaving and bottled water for the journey home. Overall we couldn't fault one thing. Stunning lodge and location! See you again xx

User

Outstanding place of natural beauty for the whole family - walking (with or without dogs), running, cycling, fishing, or just relaxing .... has it all! Fishing was at a discount as we stayed in the lodges and kids were free off an adult licence..... fresh fish for tea, can’t beat it! The games room had table tennis, a pool table etc and were free 24/7, the mini golf was also free during the day. As was the ferry..... what a deal - no eyes ripped out here.... go to CentreParcs for that!

All staff were extremely helpful and friendly. To our pleasant surprise, the on site shop was very reasonably priced and was stocked with some very nice gifts and also had a decent selection of fishing bait etc.

Love this place, so lucky to have on our door step, and even better because of how well the place is managed!

See you again and again, soon!

User

One of the most amazing holidays I've had in a while! So peaceful and relaxed, even though the site was fully booked it never seemed over crowded or anything like that. The views and walks were stunning! Our poor children and dogs were walked to the bones of their feet! But even they had the most amazing time! All staff were so friendly and helpful, big shout out to Jack and Jeff! Jeff was so friendly and helpful and Jack is in the process of posting out some items we left behind (oops!) Both went above and beyond and can't thank them both enough!

Just returned from a lovely relaxing break at Kielder Waterside. Stayed in Ash premier spa lodge (40). Stayed with family for my birthday. Wanted a little bit of luxury so chose this lodge as it came with hot tub. On arrival staff were very friendly & welcoming. Our lodge was located in new area of the park surrounded by woodland. Lodge was spacious and well equipped. Welcome pack of tea/coffee, milk and kitchen cleaning pack. Towels, bath robes and slippers provided. There was even an iron, ironing board & hairdryer supplied. Rooms were clean, nicely decorated and beds comfy. All the family enjoyed the hot tub. The week that we arrived there was some refurbishment of the Boat Inn restaurant, so kitchen was not in full use. Staff arranged for themed nights - tapas, BBQ with free ferry trip to Tower Knowe, buffet night. Some of which were complimentary! You can do as much or little as you want. Lovely walks around the reservoir. Cycling, swimming, archery etc. Also the Birds of Pray centre is a must. We took a trip to the Kielder Observatory one night which was excellent. The only negative comments would be that due to location of lodge you were not allowed to park outside apart from when unpacking. You had an allocated parking space a short distance from lodge. However some people didn't stick to the rule! Also it would be nice if there was an earlier check in time (currently 4pm) and later check out (currently 10am).

All the family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kielder Waterside and would definitely return. Thanks for an enjoyable experience!

Just back from a fantastic weekend staying in the willow platinum swim. Could not fault a thing, loads to do & the staff were fantastic. We will be back

User

Fantastic weekend! Lodge was amazing! Really well equipped and beds so cosy!! Loved the boat inn, we visited for 3 meals whilst we were there and couldn't fault the food!! Sean in the pub was brilliant, so friendly! Adam who ran the archery was also fantastic!! Loved the little touches, fizz on arrival and a little tin of sweets on departure! We will definitely be back!!

User

Beautiful place, we are just home after an amazing time here we stayed for a week in the Otterstone superior with hot tub lodge, the lodge is stunning and well equipped dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, toaster, kettle, microwave, fire and a standing fan i could not fault the lodge at all, hot tub was spotless and checked daily.

The food is great also, we went to the pizza night on the Wednesday which has just started they were delicious also had some meals in the Boat House Inn great value for money and good.

If i could fault anything here it would be the weather it was rainy when we were here but it never stopped us from doing anything the kids had a blast with all the activities Swimming, pool, table tennis, water zorbing, sea scooters, archery, crossbows and the games room, there is so much to do here they were never bored.

The hide is great too for the kids we saw squirrels, chaffinches, thrush birds, hedgehogs, rabbits could have sat all day watching them.

The highlight for us though was the Bird of Prey center the guy in here is amazing took his time showing the kids all the different types of beautiful birds that he has here he got our son to stand and take one of the birds pictures in flight it swooped above his head what a picture its stunning.

The place is great for dogs they are allowed in the bar in the Boat House Inn, there are bowls of water out for them our dog was never in he had 4 walks a day here so many different walks you can do and between this and trying to catch the rabbits (he never did lol) he had an amazing time has slept since he got home really did not want to leave to come home but will definatley be back.
