How to disable the keyless entry on all Land Rover vehicles from 2010 Model Year
Due to the rise in vehicle theft using the relay method we have released this video to show how to switch off the keyless entry system on your Land Rover / Range Rover vehicle.
... What is Relay Theft?
Relay Theft is the process criminals use to steal a car with keyless entry. Firstly, they buy a relay amplifier and a relay transmitter; these electronic devices can be purchased easily on the internet.
Next, they identify a house with a nice car parked outside and by using these devices, one criminal then stands by the car with his transmitter, while a second, with his receiver walks around the perimeter of the house. If the car key is close enough the receiver will detect its signal, amplify it and send it to the accomplice’s transmitter.
The accomplice’s transmitter then effectively becomes the key, and the car then thinks the real key is nearby, where upon the thief is able to open the car, get in and drive away. The whole process can take as little as 60 seconds and can be completed in near silence.
With the keyless system switched off it is impossible for someone to open your vehicle using this method.

We took our Freelander 2 to Les as it wouldn't start properly. The team started it straight away and give me the use of one of his Freelander's until our car was fixed. I wouldn't use any other specialist. Very friendly and highly recommend.

Very professional garage. Les looks after my Range Rover and always does work to a very high standard. All problems have always been traced and fixed even when not obvious.



A much better bet than going to a main dealer. I have had numerous land-rovers and would now only trust Les with any work on them.

My Disco 3 went in not long ago for two egr valves to be replaced. They were very communicative regarding the progress of the work, and once finished, even gave my car a quick wash too. . It's nice touches like that which show they care. It's going back in tomorrow for an alternator, I'm not even worried about it, because I know it's in very good hands.

I couldn't recommend anyone else other than Les Potts and his technicians to look after your four wheel drive vehicle. .

I am 30 years old and very far here in Kampala, Uganda and I own Kampala Range Rovers which is an independent Land Rover repair workshop . I started with little capital of just £700 in 2013.I hope to become as big as Les Potts in 10 years time. I draw alot of inspiration from them.Most cars that I receive here with Les Potts service history are really top quality cars.

Had a problem with 13 plate Range Rover sport,car vibrating @speed.had car at local main dealer 4 days and problem not solved! Was informed that a new wheel was required ? Local tyre firm recommended Les Potts .

Called in to see him and he was very obliging came out and had a look at the wheel and asked if I could return the next day when a ramp was free

Took it following day and he took it for a drive and recognised the problem, took the wheel and tyre off and drained approx pint of water from the tyre.he put wheel back on and took it for a drive and there was no further vibrating

Would highly recommend him

He was pleasant, honest and definitely trustworthy

Will definitely take my custom back to him

Amazing after a service on my range rover there was a unfortunate accident on one of my alloys lez took it back in with no dispute and sorted it gentleman he also sorted out a big problem I had fumes coming inside deadly lez took it straight in and sorted it as stratstone where I bought it wernt interested 2 weeks they said that sentence lost them all my business I want a good reliable service with friendly people on the phones not robots I certainly got that can't thank them enough
