This term we'll be concentrating on Grade 1 ballet and Prelim Gymnastics!

Last call for shop orders, the order will be submitted at 4pm today

All certificates, trophies and awards will be given out from the last years exam sessions, a disco will follow. £3 for Children, £2 adults, tickets can be bought in advance from the studio.

Our sister school in St Just are holding a raffle at their forthcoming showcase. There's over £1000 worth of fabulous prizes to be won with all proceeds going to dance and gymnastics equipment that will benefit both schools. It would be great if you could support this. A list of just some of the prizes are in the comments.

I have been part of the Lockwood-Urban School for over 10 years and it is a place where children learn whilst having fun, can perform in shows and take exams but only if they want to as well as making friends for life. My girls started at age 2 and a half and one of them is looking at dance as a possible career path. Like many other parents this can be daunting, but it is great to see the older dancers who are now leaving Lockwood with lots of dance qualifications they have gained along the way, as well as UCAS points, and chasing their dreams after securing places in prestigious dance universities in London etc. Who would have thought that taking your child to a Lockwood-Urban dance class for 1 -2 hours a week could inspire them for life :)
