Alan Shearer Centre yesterday, Riverside Community Health Project, The Lemington Centre and SearchNewcastle today, Marie Curie Newcastle Hospice tomorrow... It’s busy week for Making Music Together! It’s been lovely seeing a lot of you today and you’ve all worked so hard in practising for the concert!

Last Thursday I was lucky enough to attend and join in with the West Newcastle Symphony Orchestra rehearsal. I was deeply inspired by the ability of the players, some at such a young age! If you already play a string, wind or brass orchestral instrument, have some basic note reading ability and wish to join a group in a supportive environment, see the poster below!

A full house tonight at Riverside Community Health Project too! Wow! What a band they are becoming!

User

Our room at The Lemington Centre this morning could hardly contain all our regular member and new starters! I think we’ll have to move to the hall from next week onwards! What an amazing team!

User

We're thrilled to announce that Making Music Together will be holding a free performance showcasing all of our public groups in March at The Globe. We'd love to have you there! See poster for details...

What. A. Day! Talk about a full house! We could hardly fit everyone (including new members) into The Lemington Centre this morning! Charlie Philp had our new uke group packed out for SearchNewcastle and the Riverside Community Health Project band is getting stronger every time I see them. Someone from Lemington was also lucky enough to get some wonderful banjo cufflinks for Christmas. They must have made an impression with their playing! What an amazing way to start the new year’s sessions!

A beautiful 3 day weekend workshop event led by a dear friend focussing around music and meditation. Single drop in, concert, or full weekend passes available at very reasonable rates. I think I’ll be going down myself!

User

Happy 2019! New year, new you? Why not start learning that instrument you've always wanted to try? Have a look at all the wonderful sessions we have going on in January - March 2019 and get involved! No previous experience necessary!
