The lovely team at Hungry Horse are working alongside Northumberland County Council’s Social Services Team to support families in need this Christmas.
Each angel on their Christmas tree features a wish list of presents local children in need would love to receive on Christmas Day. The community is invited to choose an angel then buy and wrap a gift to place under the tree. All of the gifts will be collected and handed to social workers on Thursday 20th December so they can deliver them.

Took the kids to visit Santa's grotto today and they loved it!

The grotto itself was handsomely decorated on the outside so much so I think a few of the kids had nibbled at a couple of the gingerbread men.

The breathing sleeping reindeer by the sleigh was a lovely touch too and was a lovely talking point for my kids as they waited to get in.

The wait to get in was very short (we did go early just in case) and the inside was like Dr.Who's Tardis in every respect (it looked very magical).

The elf who showed us in was very courteous and polite and both the Elf and Santa were very well presented too (unlike some grottos we have visited before). The kids were captivated with Santa who quizzed them on what they wanted for Christmas and asked what their favourite part of Christmas was.

We felt very welcomed and the kids each walked away with a nice Candy cane which are now hanging proudly on our Christmas tree.

Bearing in mind that this was totally free (unless you wanted a photo which was more than reasonable at only £3) we couldn't have asked for more.

As a side note the elf very kindly showed us the photo before we paid for it incase we wanted another taken. The picture was perfect and was printed in a few seconds too.

We wrapped up the day by grabbing a few last minute gifts from the shops before heading off to Frankie and Bennies for some lunch (also highly recommended with great staff).

Thank you to Manor Walks and all who were involved in setting up this magical Christmas experience, we look forward to visiting again next year!

Seasons greetings to all from the "Murray's" :)

User

Manor walks is fab, attended many of their recent children’s events and have found the whole experiences very well organised and well ran and so enjoyable for the children. Can’t wait for the Christmas light switch and to see what’s in store for Christmas in the Centre, sounds like it’s going to be an amazing end to the year for manor walks!

User

Lovely tribute to Cramlington. Amazing Christmas crafts and activities like the Grotto during the whole of December too! Perfect for free days out for the children at this expensive time of year. Security and staff are always smiling and helping out!

User

It has become a Brilliant place to shop getting bigger and better! Staff always friendly and happy to help out if needed.

User

Absolutely amazing venue! All the staff are super friendly, and can I just say the Santa’s grotto is probably the best grotto I’ve ever seen! The hard work everyone has put in to make it a magical happy place is just incredible! All the activities the elves to accommodate the children is just amazing! Keep up the good work

User

I would like to thank the security guard who waited with my two grandchildren while my daughter finished in the toilets by asda following an incedent when everyone had to be removed thank you for you quick thinking and for protecting them from seeing what was happening a very heart felt thank you. you all do a great job and always have a smile whiles working well done

User

Used to work in Manor Walks when Newcastle College was there and you could park all day used to like coming quite a lot, downside no time to shop and have something to eat, mostly only come when I meet my friend who lives in Cramlington, go to metro now as can park all day

User

Pakings fine if you have a sunroof to get out your car and have to sprint around before the parking mafia get you have no issues with nearly all the shops but the fruit place next to the hair dressers everything you buy there is on the turn or rotten seadless oranges full of pips moldy apples just kak

User

Great for shopping, parking is terrible.. same old greedy parking companies trying to get money out of you.. shouldn’t have a time limit on when you want to do your shopping. Not good if you want to do shopping, food and a movie..

User

There are much more Parent and Child parking spaces than disabled parking spaces. The available Disabled Spaces are much further away from the entrance than the Parent and Child spaces. This is bloody backwards. Surely there should be more disabled bays than Parent and child??? And as disabled people find it harder to move, surely the bays next to the entrance should be available for disabled parking??? I suppose it's all to do with who pays the most money. Everything is about money these days!

User

My husband helped a guy in the car park who was very annoyed as he had an toilet accident. He said your disabled toilets were out of action and he was caught short. Which is very annoying and embarrassing for this gentleman who was in a wheelchair. I'd just like to bring this to your attention. Wed 2/8/17 2:40 pm

User

Why get rid of the best coffee shop in your centre???

User

Walked through the shops this evening and witnessed two men attacking a security guard. No other security was there to be seen, young children with parents were walking past. No child should have to witness that let alone an adult. I'm disgusted that only one security guard was left to defend himself considering there's usually a handful standing around. I really hope the security guard is okay, and manor walks prevent this from ever happening again.

User

Very very disappointed to hear that Amber Moon may not be returning to Cramlington, as a mutually beneficial resolution could not be met. What on earth did centre management mean when they asked the stall owners to "uplift" their display? It was certainly more aesthetically pleasing than the Sky stand which has been in situ for months now, and the previous beauty treatment cubicle which was there. Amber Moon was the only place in Cramlington where we could go to buy crystals and associated jewellery etc. Some of us prefer this to mass produced stuff available elsewhere. If we are forced to go further afield for what we need, then it stands to reason that we will simply do any other shopping we need at the same time. Manor Walks may well find that they lose custom over this. Still hoping for a successful outcome in time ...

User

This place is a disgrace. Parking enforcement in operation now is a joke, 4 hour limit so can't go to pictures and then for food etc. Well done manor walks for driving your customers away

User

The main reason I travel miles from my home to Manor Walks is for the Amber Moon crystal stall. And now it won’t be there. Will not be returning to visit you. This is unique business and will be missed by its loyal customers.

User

Parking is terrible, if you forget something at the shops and go back you run the risk of a parking ticket for trying to support local workers, and the place has more than its fair share of of awful "pound" and "household bargains" type of shops. It also has a selection of chain "food" places which is a big shame, they could have tried to attract more one-off / local businesses (maybe if they made the rent attainable for such folks?). Don't even think about trying to make any fancy food recipes for yourself, there's a good chance that neither supermarket will have what you want as they concentrate firmly on the basics - I think they assume we're all destitute and homeless or something. And where are the men's clothes shops? Virtually none. An opportunity missed.

User

I was trying to park yesterday afternoon, with a disabled friend, and the lady who owns Lulla Bella had taken up a disabled bay to off load her stock! I recognised her when we eventually got into Manor Walks, because I had to drive around looking for a suitable parking space!

Is this the norm Manor Walks? Where were car park security/attendants? or did they just turn a blind eye?

User

Disgusting and disrespectful!!!

Today was remembrance Sunday, a time to remember all of the soldiers, wear a poppy with pride and do a 2 minutes silence.

I would have expected the shopping centre to announce over the speaker to remind everyone to pay their respects by joining in a 2 minute silence, but they refused to do so and because of this not Many people instead the mall its self knew that it was 11am . I think this is disgusting and disrespectful I can not believe you did this. Disgusting!!! You should do it on the 11th November and the Sunday!!
