What a kind hearted manager a true business with a HUGE heart , donating a meal for two for our #BRINGDANHOME at Peterlee town centre on Saturday thanks so much x

Went to Martinos today for Mothers day and it didn't disappoint!....

The room was set up with white table cloths, balloons etc.

Beautiful 3 course meal consisting of hot soup, gorgeous chicken dinner and a slab of cheese cake to finish.... the meal was accompanied by a very good female singer who had us tapping and singing along...

Absolute bargain at only £15 a head...

Visited today for Mother’s Day lunch. 1st time here as we normally go to the seaburn one and it was lovely. STUFFED!!! xx

Not only do I think Martino's is the best place for food but the staff are fabulous too. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they go above and beyond what is expected. They were great helping me organise a surprise 50th for my friend last week (especially Mustafa). I can't thank you enough. Been again tonight for my own birthday meal and once again, friendly staff, fab service and fantastic food - loved it! Highly recommended!

My wife and I had our Wedding Anniversary meal in this excellent venue. The food was excellent, the staff very courteous and friendly I started with a bowl of mussels ,piping hot and all fresh and opened with an excellent creamed wine and parsley sauce . Followed by a fillet steak cooked perfectly for my taste( med rare) with the knife virtually falling through it and so tasty the sauce and garnish complimented it so well. My wife started with a very tasty prawn cocktail (enough prawns to make a meal themselves) followed as she said by a perfect Pollo dish. All served attentively by TJ and complimented with a very good bottle of Merlot which Hanifi brought out a choice of bottles and insisted I try each before I chose one for the meal. After the meal Hañfi insisted we had a drink with him and the conversation was interesting and made our evening so very pleasant Thankyou Hanifi and the staff and we intend to return quite often

Me and my partner had our engagement party here and the management and staff were second to none the hospitality they showed us and the buffet they put on was fantastic.

Martinos never fails to please. Good food, friendly staff, nice surroundings and atmosphere. If there is a criticism, it would be that sometimes they are a bit forgetful when you request something but usually ok. All in all a great experience with a nice welcome & really not that expensive for the quality of food!

I had the function room at the rear of the restaurant on Friday night for a surprise party and it was great! All of the guests were very impressed. The food was fabulous and the staff were amazing! I could not have asked for anything more nothing was a problem to them. I would recommend this venue. Thanks to all of the staff for a great night.

Had The Tree burger last week which was delicious! We had the drunken steak and ale pie this week and it's the best I've had! Cannot recommend this place enough, the food is delicious and excellent value for money!

Food was absolutely beautiful came hear today for the third time I ordered off the 2 course menu and for the starter I ordered a salad and pasta for my main and I can not fault the food and cocktails at all! Customer service towards me and my friend wiles getting served was amazing,the only thing I could fault was that 2 members of staff were bickering/having a personal debate in-front of customers which wasn’t very professional, but apart from that everything else was brilliant!

Could not recommend Martino’s higher, our daughter had her 8th birthday party meal there and the venue and food were lovely, the staff were amazing, table was set and ready and they even held our reservation as we were running a little late, when we arrived the food for the girls was out quickly and very fresh and they staff could not have been more helpful and made all 17 girls feel welcomed and comfortable. Thank you much for helping make our littles girls birthday so special and memorable.

Called in for tea with the Mrs and youngest child - this is literally a minutes walk from my home. We were fussed over from the minute we walked in u til the minute we settled the bill and left (probably due to my son being on top form and entertaining the staff!) Food was faultless and plentiful, and for some reason still unknown to us, the manager/head waiter asked if we were driving, and when we said no offered us free cocktails! £15 worth of free drinks and a heavily discounted bill made for a thoroughly enjoyable night. Thanks again!

Usually really love this place. Last night was however really disappointing. Booked for 6:30. No tables. Missed bits of the order off, only sides but still. After asking they came out late and then tried to charge us twice. Won't stop me going back but certainly won't be a Friday night

Went for a meal last Friday. The food was fantastic and really good value. The reason for the poor score is the service. We got there just after 7pm and by 8pm they hadn't event asked us what drinks we wanted! The service was very poor by the staff. Pity as it's a nice restaurant.

We went last night, for date night x as soon as we walked in we where seated as it was empty this was half six we ask for a a table for two and I know the restaurant can't help it but we where sat near the window and it's hard to escape and feel like your an a date when your sat near a window that's staring straight into the a dirty empty car park. When the waiter came over to ask us for drinks I asked to have two tabs one for food and one for drinks and he asked why, so I was a bit thrown at that and started to explain that he wanted to pay food and I wanted to pay drinks and he said but why make him pay for it all and I know he was joking but it made it awkard and my date felt he had to pay the full bill and did but I wanted to pay for drinks. So onto food x pram cocktail starter, for the price for what I got it looked like sandwich filler scooped out on one leaf of lettuce with I'm guessing rocket and parsley served in a big shell, the prawns where soft and mushy not worth the 5 pound odd we paid and my date had meatballs off the starter menu and wasn't impressed and when I tried one I was waiting for an explosion of

Taste and sauce and got nothing it was dry and crumbled In my mouth x so so far I don't feel I'm in a posh Italian restaurant the meatball marinade from subway tasted better .



Now my main the seafood diabolo pasta was lovely and the garlic bread we got was beautiful but the classic spaghetti my date got he said it was filling but bland no tang or taste to the sauce to make it pop it could just be dolmineo sauce. So we skipped dessert and went to wait for taxi in the tree of York toad bit where after 5 minutes my date had to go to the toilet to be sick as none of his food was sitting right



All this as an experience cost 52 pound although 20 was drinks (the daquaries are stunning ) but won't eat here again x

Very disappointed for the 2nd time in a row, had the polo Pepe on both occasions and chicken was so tough it wasn’t enjoyable to eat, peppercorn sauce was very tangy and not enjoyable. Won’t be coming back again I’m afraid
