Loving the new layout. I was in the store yesterday lunch time. Found the checkout staff (Tracey) to be very helpful. Looking forward to our next visit. Very pleasant staff throughout the store.

I have been going for A very long time they sell good quality clothes never been disappointed yet .i would recommend them to anyone.

Brilliant bargains. All the way from Scotland..10/10

My only wish, please get a store in fuengirola, we have all , but not Matalan, it would go down great

Not impressed with the new layout very difficult to move around with a buggy and shop does not have a natural flow. Also disliked where you have to queue for the checkouts as you are waiting amongst the kitchenware so stood amongst shelves of breakable glasses and plates etc.

just called in to killingworth store the music is so loud i have had to come out!

I love music but this is ridiculous.......

absolute disgusting the way i was spoke to today from a member off staff..wouldnt speak to my enemy the way she spoke to me

Was at Matalan in Killingworth earlier this afternoon to look at their ‘refurbished’ store with my two year old son and Paige Williams. Whilst browsing we received an unexpected shock when a ceiling tile fell on my child whilst he was in his buggy. After complaining and filling out accident forms the comment made by the manager was ‘We are sorry but this is a reacurring problem because the store is so old. We can offer you 15% off your next purchase with us.’ Whilst requesting head office’s number the remaining ceiling tile proceeded to fall onto a staff members head which resulted in her being so shocked she was guided to the fitting rooms to sit down where she looked very dazed and confused and I do hope she is ok. If this is what can happen to an adult imagine what could have happened to my little boy. Whilst I am so thankful to the member of staff for her assistance in making sure my son was ok I am however appalled and have lost all my confidence in the Health and Safety of this store.

Totally impossible to get round with a buggy. Ironically the kids section is even worse than the area for adult clothes.

Not liking the new layout at all, it looks all boarded up didn’t realise it was open until we drove further round. Then I go to the till after picking some clothes up and the woman doesn’t have a clue. She begins scanning items twice and when I point it out then goes through the receipt. Completely confused herself, when I try and explain it she snaps at me and my mum. I then got a full refund and left because she didn’t know what to do, I won’t be returning. Start training your staff properly.

Do not like the new layout. Disabled bay parking great. Payment tills at the back of the shop. Disabled people have to trail right at the back of the shop , then all the way out to the car park. Whoever thought this was disability friendly is a chocolate firegaurd. I actually put my shopping down and walked out. Will NOT use this shop.
