I was going to open the gym this evening,but seems the weather is getting worse! Wind is wild on corner of maxxmuscle and the backstreets are very deep with snow.Just had to help push out a stuck car! Lets class today as a write off,and we will re-open in the morning.Hopefully this crazy weather calms down!

Due to the weather scenario...Unfortunately Maxxmuscle Gym will be closed today! I have a hospital appointment i cant miss ( Hopefully i get there ) and Mark cannot make it over to open up...his car is stuck! Will update later.....

Trained there for 5 year now and it’s my second family bar none !!! It’s very ponsonal and everyone knows each other and helps spots and gives you confidence NOT just for bodybuilders but anyone who wants to just train get fit everyone’s helpfull

Some of the best equipment in the north east, with the supporting hard working attitude of members. Always immaculate, weights in the right places, no looking for your tools so to speak. Anth keeps a tight ship and as a result, creating one of the best independent bodybuilding gyms nationwide. AND I've been to a lot!

I have been to many gyms and this is a "real" gym. Everything you need. Everyone in the gym are a real good bunch. This is the best gym for me.

Great gym, equipment is top notch and great atmosphere. It’s not a fancy look at what I’m wearing type of gym. Staff are always there for advice or help if needed.

Fantastic gym, ran perfectly by Anth. Great balance the gym has being a bodybuilders gym but also friendly to others with different goals. The best machines around easily. Just a perfect gym for ANYBODY to go train in no matter your goals �

Don't ever think as a woman that this gym is not for you because it's a hardcore gym. As long as you train hard you will be made to feel very welcome in this gym. I sure have. This is a great gym and I would recommend it to anyone 💪🏽

Does what it says on the tin "Everyone Welcome! Ego Free, Friendly, Hardworking REAL Gym Enviroment..." You can tell it's owned by someone that know's training, each piece of kit has to be carefully selected to get the job done. You can't not train hard in this place.

Brilliant old skool type gym with a great atmosphere and anyone is willing to help you out. Anth is very approachable and professional and will help you out with your training needs if required. Overall great gym and look forward to the next visit.

Been coming here now since 31 January with Donna and Pauline and I love it, help is always on hand and everyone is really friendly top equipment, Anth and mark are always at hand wouldn't go anywhere else

A small gym that is brimming with the best kit and a lot of friendly faces. Anth is a true gent and the gym is a fantastic facility. I wish it wasn't 14,000,000 miles away from me and I could visit more often! KEEP IT NASTY!!!
