Our homemade chocolate orange scones are proving themselves popular. We may have take them into February as the offer.

User

Without doubt the best afternoon tea in the area. Very reasonable prices in a lovely quaint setting and the friendliest staff. Well worth the 80 mile round trip - if I could give more than 5 stars I would!!!

Went last weekend for the first (but definitely not the last) time. What an amazing place! Staff were fantastic and the food was delicious. We had afternoon tea for 2, the sandwiches were good but the cakes, oh my God the cakes! They were out of this world and beautifully presented. Next time I'm in Middleton I'll definitely be visiting again.

We stopped in today and were told the Tea Parlour was fully booked. We left disappointed and began our walk back to the car when we felt a hand upon our shoulders. The lovely hostess of MTP had hastened after us, said that there was indeed room available, and invited us to return with her. We are truly happy that we did. A lovely tea parlour, attentive staff, and delicious food (a little pork pie, chutney, and salad before cake) was our delight. We look forward to our next visit, and yes, we will make reservations!

User

We had a lovely birthday, anniversary and early Mother's Day celebration. the food was absolutely delicious, the tea was refilled and then we all walked home to burn off a few gorgeous calories!!! Check out the photos below!!! Thanking you .... Perfect. K x

This a dainty tea shop and a hidden gem of a tea shop. The portions are also of yorkshire portions. Remember to take cash, debit card (you can withdraw cash when post office is open) or a cheque book. Need to try a formal afternoon tea - watch this space.

User

My first ever English afternoon tea could not have taken place in a lovelier tea parlour than this. Fully enjoyed the atmosphere, tea and of course the scones and cakes!

User

I took my mum yesterday for afternoon tea as a birthday treat. It was lovely! Attention to detail was amazing and they even put a candle with the cakes. A lovely personal touch. The food was fantastic, so fresh and tasty. All beautifully presented with proper China cups and saucers. Highly recommended and we will be back!

User

I cannot thank the ladies enough for all they did for my son's 7th birthday party from the decorations, birthday cake, food to the finer details such as cucumber and tomato pirate flags in the sandwiches. Absolutely amazing value for money and enough food to fill you up for the whole day. The coffee was the nicest we've tasted in a long time. Thank you and see you soon. The Stubbs Family xxxx

Had a lovely afternoon tea sat in the tea room garden yesterday, the service, the food and the weather we're all wonderful. Will definitely be going again.

First of all apologies for not writing a review earlier. I booked Middleton Tea Parlour for my 50th Birthday on Saturday 14th May for myself, my partner and 6 friends. We surprised everyone by getting married that day too. When we arrived early we decided to have a pot of tea outside, when it arrived we mentioned to the girl that we had wed. When we entered the tea parlour, not 20 minutes later, the staff had decorated the table with rose buds and glass beads. This was on top of the happy birthday banners etc. To say the service and attention to detail is amazing is an understatement. We could not have celebrated our special day better. Thank you to all the staff and we shall be visiting in a couple of weeks. By the way, the afternoon tea is still a talking point....it was fantastic, as always. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you

Delightful afternoon tea in authentic, pretty little tea parlour, nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the homemade food was all delicious. Would definitely recommend but ring first to book a table as its popular and space is limited. You won't be disappointed 🍰☕️

Cannot rate this place highly enough! Visited for my friend's hen party afternoon tea last weekend - the staff were extremely accommodating and helpful, the food and drinks were superb, and the setting was beautiful. And all for a very reasonable price. Everyone had a great time. I will definitely be returning next time I'm in the area, and would highly recommend! Thank you
