Access - excellent next to bus routes, on a main road, about Half a mile from South Gosforth Metro. There is a pub car park as well with disabled spaces and a ramp down to a level access. No cycle parking.
... The pub - two large rooms an attractive bar, including a bar in the rear room. There were 4 ales on as well as the usual fizz, The menu is standard pub food, but none the worse for that, limited veggie/vegan choice. there are large screen TV’s showing sport and various activities are on during the week, like a quiz. The staff were friendly and efficient even with a large group of 15+ at lunch time.”

What else can I say but WOW, and a huge thank you. We had Christmas dinner here yesterday.... 33 seated and 3 high chairs. Staff could not have been more helpful if the tried and catered for our every need. Dinner was amazing, as was the starter and puddings. Thank you for the selection boxes for all the children, really didn't expect it. You made a family Christmas get together a one to remember. See you next year for the same and thank you once again. Xx

We hired the upstairs room for my grandaughters christening today. The staff couldn't do enough to help. From asking about the set up, any spirits we required upstairs, storing food for us, letting us in early to decorate the room and especially how polite and welcoming all the staff are. A huge thank you to you all for helping today go with such ease. Highly recommended xxx

We booked the Millstone for a 50th birthday and it turned out great. We booked last minute as our other venue fell through and they were incredibly helpful getting everything sorted. When we arrived the staff even help us set up decorations! The room is a tad bland but with some fairy lights, glitter and balloons we got it looking very festive. The food was tasty and the bar staff were really fantastic and hardworking. We brought our own speakers (theirs were small) and packed the dance floor. We may have slightly overstayed our welcome (sorry!) but we were just having so much fun closing time came too early!

My husband and myself came here for lunch with a friend, a regular customer, on bank holiday Sunday. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, and the staff were very welcoming. We found the prices on the menu to be incredibly reasonable, and thought the food was great quality. Two of us had scampi and chips, which was a very generous portion, and the chips were home cooked - not the usual frozen ones that most pubs serve these days. Our friend had a roast dinner, which looked very appetising. We finished the meal with desserts - chocolate brownie with ice cream for me, and sticky toffee pudding for the others. I wish I could come more often, it's just my sort of pub, but it's a long way to come from Norfolk!

Love the pub. Love the beer. Love the food. Excellent service. Great atmosphere. So happy that it is my local.

Just had the afternoon tea here, very accommodating, staff absolutely lovely, food outstanding, very fresh and obviously home made, so much so we are going to make this a monthly affair, we often eat here but first time for afternoon tea ( with prosecco )

I only discovered this pub a few months ago but I've been to a couple of do's there now in the function room. The room is just a nice size, not too big. The food they supplied was first class and the bar staff friendly and helpful. I'm gong again soon!

Always enjoy meal here but do find either the corned beef pie or the gravy very salty. Always pour gravy over before checking which, but too salty last few times. I like salt, but already too much in this meal. Will be back tho'.
