Until 2 yr ago I was a driving instructor , I had many years of success , tears , and joy teaching , but due to other commitments and an injury had to retire . I started to teach my daughter Beth Drennan but as we are very similar in nature we had many clashes and fights , so for both our sanity I decided to put her in with another instructor . She asked for a female so thort about which one .? . I knew Karen and decided she was the right instructor. I also took Beth out as much as possible to support and practice inbetween lessons with Karen so she had best of both worlds I guess . Karen is a fantastic instructor, patient, kind and caring and will bring out the best in everyone. She has brilliant results and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a very good instructor. From one (ex) instructor , thank you for Beth's lessons and not just getting her thru her test but molding her into a good confident driver. X

I started learning to drive with Karen in August & passed first time on Wednesday. I can not tell you how utterly brilliant this lady is! Every lesson was filled with laughter, every lesson I came out more confident. Karen cares about you as an individual, she truly puts her heart and soul into each lesson. She remembers every single one of her students! If your struggling with absolutely Anything she there whenever you need her! And now that her son has join mirrors, I can safely say there is no better than these two! I will miss my lessons and the fun we had! So yet again thank you from the bottom of my heart, truly fabulous!’┐Į

Learning to drive with Karen was one of the best things I have ever done, she is calm, patient and friendly. Karen is always clear with what she wants me to do and explains how and why whenever I ask. I have gained a great deal from learning to drive-I have achieved my goal of passing my driving test-I have gained the experience necessary to enable me to drive safely and confidently.Karen made learning to drive fun and relaxed, making each lesson something to look forward too. Every lesson I learnt something new which helped me to pass my test first time round, with only 4 minors. Driving with Karen was always eventful; she is easy to get on with but also can be serious when you need it. I would highly recommend this driving school, because of the fantastic support that you receive while learning to drive. Thank you so much Karen, I couldn't have done it without you! Hopefully see you on the roads! :)

My son is currently taking lessons from karen and we booked her as I knew she had an excellent reputation and fantastic rapport with her students. My son has not been taking lessons long and is thriving. Karen is just the person I would have wanted to teach my son to drive - she treats ben just like I do and that is peace of mind for a parent as I know he is in the best hands having the best tuition. Karen is highly recommended and a lovely person to know. Thank you ’┐Į

Karen is a fantastic driving instructor, she has been giving my daughter driving lessons over the last 5 months and has helped her pass her test just this morning, I highly recommended booking lessons with Karen and you will never look back x

Just completed 5 refresher lessons with Dan after passing my test 10 years ago and hardly driving since. Dan was very patient with me throughout all of the lessons and has given me the confidence to be back in my own car and driving around. I'd thoroughly recommend Dan and Mirrors Driving School to anybody who is thinking about booking their refresher lessons and looking to gain more confidence in their driving.

IŌĆÖve seen such lovely comments about Karen personally lately, and the future looks so bright for Mirrors now she is working so hard with Daniel. IŌĆÖm writing a review/testimonial for her here, though she didnŌĆÖt teach me to drive. IŌĆÖve talked to her though, about the way she teaches her learner drivers and the way she has now taught Dan to teach. I feel that I can judge her on her teaching because I have talked to her about her philosophy and her methods, and I have trained teachers to teach. That was part of my job at Darlington College. Karen, and now Dan, is doing everything right. She plans everything so well, and her programmes are student-centred, using a variety of techniques and examples for different situations and different learners. She transfers responsibility for their learning gradually to them, and she builds up their confidence and self esteem. And now, so does Dan, because Karen has given him the same outlook, and trained and mentored him so well. Her students praise her unequivocally, and Dan will get the same praise as his career develops, because their way works. That is why their posts and comments get so many likes, and they get so many good reviews and compliments. That is why they can celebrate. Their teaching style is first class. Their way works. I wish they had taught me to drive!
