Mmm_Newcastle Description
Our philosophy is to sell foods from close to home… But wherever our products are from, we like to work with small producers who share our passion for good food and quality of life.
Wherever possible we like to source products from local suppliers, and if not local then we like to work with smaller family companies who are making tasty food products with care and passion.
We do sell a wide range of organic products, both the usual suspects and products that are a little more unusual, such as organic Garam Masala and juniper berries.
Our products range from store cupboard basics to the more unusual and exotic.

Went in today and was greeted by a lovely gentleman who was very helpful in assisting us, helping us choose and letting us taste the mulled wine! Would recommend to anyone with a taste for good beverages.
We have been going to the shop for over 5 years and love it! we always make sure when we are in Newcastle we visit the shop and buy loads of amazing food, spices and beer!
Superb, friendly, helpful service. Was looking for Paulaner Weißbier for a friend's birthday that was 3 days away. The shop rang up their suppliers to add some to the order, arrived and picked up 2 days later in time for the birthday.
Staff are always helpful and friendly. It's a great shop for chefs, or even if you are looking for new ingredients.
Shopped here today. Service was fantastic. And the young man was full of information and guided us on our purchases. Thank you.
Popped in today just in passing. Enjoyed the warm welcome and was very impressed by the wide range of foods, beers and wines, all at fair prices. We will spread the word!

Always a stop off point when I’m in Newcastle
They always greet you with a warm welcome and such fantastic new foods & drinks are available even taster sessions.
Even better now they have a shop on the high street hopefully more people will find them and enjoy the variety of independent stock they have. X
Just my kind of shop, great for foodies like me. Good range of european beers, all kinds of herbs and spices, italian dried pasta, fresh olive oils etc. Friendly, helpful staff too.
I love this shop and love coming in for wine and ales. I can always rely on whoever is in store to give me their recommendations on the wines they have in that week/month. It is a little bit more expensive than a supermarket but if you go to any other specialist like majestic for example, it's around the same price and you get much better service.
I came in on my last day in Newcastle, had a great chat with Ian, got awesome recommendations and great overview of the local craft beer scene.

Great place and very knowledgeable. Love the 40 kola and the Buenos Ayres dark lager. The spice section and smoked garlic sections are tasty!

Such a great range of tasty treats, I am an especially BIG fan of the Fritz Kola and Looza drinks. Was excited to spot banana ketchup on my last trip.
There's always something cool, quirky and delicious waiting to be discovered on each visit.

Came in today and asked for wines from obscure parts of the world and was instantly shown wines from Turkey and Lebanon (I’m sure we can all agree these two aren’t exactly world renowned for wine). Bought a bottle of the Lebanese wine and it tasted great. The man working in the shop was friendly and helpful too!

Best beer selection in Newcastle. Reihills in Jesmond has a larger selection, but in recent months I've came to the conclusion that Glugg has a lot more new stuff coming in as opposed to the same old and I have really enjoyed the stuff I've had bought recently so much that I haven't been to Reihills for what seems like a while.
The guy there is very knowledgeable about his beers and one time when i came in remembered off my previous trips that I like wheat beers. The ladies there are very friendly as well and always offer to help too. Always nice to get served by someone with a pretty smile.
Cracking stuff 10/10 (Or 5 stars if you go off the facebook rating system).
