Just a reminder about the plastic welding service we provide.
In most cases repairing a cracked or damaged bumper is the most cost effective way to get your car looking the way it should do again after an accident, without replacing the broken part for a new one.
In this case for instance, the customer had unfortunately had an incident with a high rise kerb. A new bumper for this Bentley would have cost the customer upwards of £900 + vat alone. We managed to do the job in to...tal for a fraction of that price leaving us with one very happy customer indeed 😎

Project subaru!! 💪
Here's a few snaps of a recent job we have done, from a full strip down to colour change and fresh carbon affect roof wrap. I think we can all agree this little beast has been well and truly brought back to life.

If you’re into the Grime scene and familiar with the artist Aitch, then you might recognise this beast from one of his latest music videos (trust me). If you go over to You Tube and check out the vid, you’ll see why it’s here with us getting some cosmetic damage repaired!

Here’s a walk round video of a recent job we’ve done... This car was brought to us after it had been vandalised- basically keyed, pretty much all the way round 😱
We wet sanded and feathered out the scratches, then applied a couple of coats of high build primer. Then, again, wet sanded and smoothed the primer. Finally, we took it into the spray booth to be masked up and painted with a silver base coat and finished off with a 2k clear coat. 🙌🏼

Who would have thought silver paint could have so many different colours in it...?
This colour in particular (there’s not just one shade of silver!!) has 9 different tinters and binders which all need to be added in very precise measurements to create the perfect shade and colour match. Fortunately for our customers we mix our own paint on site to ensure a perfect match every time 👌🏼

We offer a plastic welding service, which welds just about any plastic.
Ideal for bumpers (See before & after photos), as they can be welded rather than have to buy new! Other things we can do include: bike fairings, plastic sumps... just about anything made of plastic!!

Our Facebook posts have been non existent for nearly 2 years 😬 ... how time flies when you’re living the dream 😜 But we’re back and planning to keep popping up on your feed.

Another MRC girl to add to the crew!

Sunday's are my family day and man it was tiring... Glad to be back at work so I can have a brew in peace after having my hands full with this pair yesterday. Two daughters AND the wife, I'm well and truly outnumbered.
To top it all off we did the food shop and she wouldn't even buy any biscuits. Some new target on her personal training plan. She can't have biscuits so none of us can. She's trying to say it's for my benefit when she's all toned up and looking good, I think... I'd rather have the biscuits 😜
So, if any of you that are popping down for a quote this week would like to bring us a pack of biscuits you might just get a cheeky discount!

A post got the better of this Audi but we soon fixed it up good as new... We even saved the owner money- no need for a new bumper, a repair did the job 👍🏼

A little introduction for those of you that don't know us...
Morecambe Repair & Custom is run by me, Andy (the short one) and Daz (the tall one). We met whilst working in the bodyshop at Hargreaves back in 2009/2010 and being the two younger lads I got lumbered with Daz and have never been able to shake him off since.
A couple of years on and along came Arnold Clark, who decided to close down the bodyshop meaning that we were out of job. ... At that time I had my lass and a young baby to support and Daz had him and his dog- which was basically like having a child, so we needed to get our arses into gear and fast.
What better time to go chasing the dream... So that's what we did and are still doing now! Nearly 4 years on and we've come along way from a dingy unit on Sefton road. We now have another member to the team, Callum, who has just finished his apprenticeship and is quickly learning the tricks of the trade.
We're local lads doing what we love. When you use us you're not just using a service, you're keeping our dream going. You're helping me keep a roof over my kids heads (the baby is now 5 with a 7 month old sister). You're helping Daz keep his lass happy with all their new house renovations. You're helping a young lad stay in a job where he's learning a trade.
We're determined to keep achieving and growing. To keep the dream alive. We're here for the long haul 👊🏼

Here's a set of wheels we recently hydro dipped in a hard black carbon fibre. These are one of my personal favourites, I've been trying to persuade the wife to let me do ours but she's not having any of it! She may not appreciate a carbon fibre look but I'm sure some of you lot will... Hit the thumbs up if you're with me 👍🏼
