Newbiggin Maritime Centre is an amazing journey into the town's rich maritime history. This is an interactive exhibition suitable for families, individuals and history enthusiasts alike.
Situated at the northern end of the promenade, Newbiggin Maritime Centre offers uninterrupted views across the beach and along the beautiful Northumbrian coastline. Our award winning building now offers superb views of the bay from our Viewing Gallery and you may be lucky enough to spot a pod of dolphins and even a whale that like to come and visit us at times.
The large, light and spacious Breakwater cafe offers a selection of seaside favourites and gallery space dedicated to showing the work of local artists and the Seashore Shop is full of unique handmade local crafts.
