Wonderful Univeristy. I highly recommend.

Visited the Uni yesterday for your Open Day with my daughter who hopes to study Pharmacy with you from Sept 17. We were blown away with the amazing buildings, perfectly maintained grounds, fantastic staff and students who we spoke to from the Pharmacy division and all your Ambassadors who were a fantastic credit to the Uni. Thank you for a very well organised and informative Open Day!!

Visited Newcastle Uni 17.9.16. Both myself and my youngest son were very impressed. Staff and student guides made the day a stress free experience. The campus was compact, a stones throw from the vibrant city centre and the buildings beautiful. Student accommodation was reassuringly well maintained, with a range of facilities that were over and above expectations. As a nervous parent, worried about my son being so far away from home studying, I came away happy and reassured that his education, independence and safety would be supported more than adequately.

Started September 2017 and I can honestly say coming to Newcastle University was one of the best decisions of my life! Everyone within the University whether that be Lecturers or Students, are so welcoming! Felt at home straight away!:)

No matter the degree, both undergraduate and postgraduate courses at UON provide students with practical, real-world experience that is highly sought after by all employers. Our degrees are recognized both nationally and internationally and provide a unique mix of theory, with experience in a practical setting and links with industry. Our graduates are competitive in global employment markets and some of our degrees have a 100 per cent employment rate (Bachelor of Medicine and Electrical Engineering)1. No matter what you study our graduates are sought after and earn a median starting salary that is almost five per cent higher than other graduates.

My son completed some of his studies at Newcastle University in 2010/2011. From his experience it is truly a world-class university. From the courses, the advisors, and the student body this is one of the best unis that anyone can attend.

Also the city of Newcastle and its locals are truly world-class as well. Fantastic atmosphere, lovely scenery, and loads of opportunities for quick day trips from York to Edinburgh.

Just started my journey here this Sept, 2017 intake..yet, I don't really missing home much coz' Newcastle University which located in one of student-family friendly city in UK - Newcastle Upon Newcastle upon Tyne, serves best for its parent-student life... Transport access, shops, public facilities as well as the people and staff entire University and City are amazingly great.. I would recommend those who are planning to pursue your postgraduate studies while balancing family life, Newcastle University is one of the best choice in UK

User

Its a great place, I met really great people there, and not just the students the locals are amazing too. That is apart from the short white Tshirts when it -10 degrees.

I spent a glorious semester at Newcastle University back in 2005 as an ERASMUS student. I will treasure the memory (and the tangible results) of that time forever.

Awesome library resources, a fantastic, generous tutor who used his network to further my career, efficient and friendly admin staff, amazing countryside to roam in my free time, and a city at once intimidatingly vibrant at night and caring and neighbourly by daylight...

It saddens me greatly to think that in a few years' time, if not sooner, EU students will not be entitled to the privilege I enjoyed.

All the same - thank you, Newcastle. I owe you.

User

I loved it and the people there it was an amazing experience, one thing I didn’t do was socialise much so anyone that was there between 2012 and 2015 feel free to add me, I’d love to strike a convo with people who where there when I was

User

I have been to Newcastle in 2000 and lived there for 5 years during my PhD program at EECE. It was a welcoming place and I enjoyed my research time. I had a nice experience and I will always remember my staff, classmate, and friends. I would love to visit it a gain.

User

All the research for How To Stay Young was conducted by the Amazing Newcastle University..... Something that all Politicians, the Health Profession and NHS Management must learn from ASAP if we believe that Prevention is Better Than Cure to save the NHS before it goes bust the way it is currently run with Big Pharma's Creative Accounting Drug Agenda etc. Please visit the magres/research link to learn more.....

Loved the campus, student mentors and student services were great, but if you want to do combined honours, it's not as flexible as the say. I wanted to do music, japanese and education and the didn't tell me until freshers week that due to the timetables this was not possible.

they didn't try resolve the timetable they expect you to drop courses you want to do and change to something you didn't sign up for, So after 3 days I had to withdraw. I'm so disappointed and they expect me to pay for the accommodation until/ unless they find someone else.

I'm not the only one with the timetabling problem either and I spent a whole year planning for this. They had that entire yet to check with timetabling if that was a problem

User

The class prejudism I faced as an ordinary working class man here was incredible.

I almost gave up on higher education entirely but I gave another university a go and the staff treat me like a valued human being.

Don't send your children here until they have a radical change in management and protocols.

User

Poor standards. Bullying by students of students out of control.

User

Poor inhumane jobsworths.Have not got an ounce of welfare training in the whole place.Ask a student to be a lecturer, then threaten him with eviction and stop him being able to study by locking him out of the system.

It's a good job I can not get at the useless bunch of stargazers for want of a worse description.
