We've been so busy this week at Nickles and Dimes, but we can gladly say our ice cream cabinet will be back to being fully stocked tomorrow with all of your favourite flavours! We also have an exciting new flavour for those of you who are brave enough to try, Scotch Bonnet Chilli!

Also thanks to Ian and Julie who hired the ice cream parlour for a photo shoot on Tuesday! We're glad it all went well and can't wait to see the photographs!

We've had 2 birthday parties this week at Nickles and Dimes! Iona who's celebrated with us on Tuesday and Elliott who celebrated with us today! We hope you both enjoyed the rest of your birthdays and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

came in yesterday with my son it was absolutely gorgeous the staff were bril even with my son not knowing what he wanted lol she was very patient and the man who brought it over to us was just as good the customer service was fantastic i will be back and telling my customers about this place its just what durham needed thankyou

Very privileged to get a sneak preview of this fantastic new venue yesterday. The coffee and the ice cream were both delicious and I can't wait to come back and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere when the place is in full swing. Good luck with the grand opening.

Took the whole family in today and we loved it. The ice cream was fab and the service was great. Highly recommended and we will be back. Xx

Took my granddaughters for a treat they are 2 ,3 and 7 they stood looking at all the flavours going this one no that one had jelly baby one and loved them will be back



well i cannot do a separate review but had a fab time today taking up my competition prize staff were friendly place was spotless couldn't ask for more a big thank you and will be a customer for as long as you open which i hope is a long time

Strawberry shortcake sundae was delicious, enjoyed by myself and my little girl. She enjoyed bopping away to the jukebox music as she knew most of the songs (my fault!) Spotless and clean, perfectly decorated to get the diner "feel" .Good price compared to others similar will definitely be back! Thank you!

Just had ice cream for my lunch & can say the Flavours I got where amazing & would highly recommend the ice cream & I will be back very soon.

I went with my friend and boyfriend today and it was awesome. The ice cream was great, the manager and staff were lovely and the atmosphere was amazing. The manager was so pleasant and helpful when we said that my boyfirend was coeliac, which is rare even in massive chain resteraunts. We really enjoyed it and were made to feel really welcome :)

I held an event here with a University Society after hours. The service was excellent throughout. I rang to enquire about an event and received swift and accurate information. I then popped in to introduce myself and try some of the products for myself. I was able to speak to members of staff and they spoke to me and offered to go out of their way to accommodate me. When it came to the event, they were absolutely fantastic, the service was great and they allowed our event to go along as planned. The products are also absolutely yummy! The ice cream is delicious and for a small business they have an excellent range of different treats on offer.



I'll definitely come back and recommend it, thank you very much!

Had my daughters 13th birthday there today was fantastic the staff were excellent nothing was too much trouble thanks for making my girls day extra special would recommend 100%

Got there late today, but daughter got licorice and mint chip ice creams and I had a taste. Very good ice cream and can't wait to go back for a proper sundae! Thanks, guys, for your awesome hospitality! Wishing you the best of luck on this new business!

Gorgeous ice cream - cherry pie and custard ( very naughty but very nice), pleasant service and great music!

First visit on Saturday, great interior and staff wearing fab outfits, love the juke box too. It was like stepping back in time to an American DinerWe had ice cream sundaes, they were so tasty and reasonably priced. We will definately return

Came with my family today for a treat, great choice of sundaes spoilt for choice. We were not disapointed with our choice, looking forward to our next visit. Great atmosphere & decor, would definately recommend a visit

A perfectly pitched atmosphere with pleasant & gracious staff serving a compact menu of deluxe food. What more could I ask? Oh, the music: there's a modernised classic-looking jukebox playing the exactly right tunes for this place, at a volume everyone can hear but nobody has to shout over. ;) Not a place to try to do a full meal, but the ideal location for a luscious snack or dessert!

Came in today. Lovely friendly atmosphere. Spoilt for choice with the ice creams. Loved the decor and the choice of music from the fabulous 50's duke box. The staff were all very pleasant and looked really lovely. Will definetly be calling in again. Xx

Called in again for my second time with my family we all enjoyed our time, staff were great and cannot wait to return, only problem we had was I had finished my ice cream before the rest of family had getting there's and would of preferd if the children had been served first but all in all I love the place xx

Well I have never met such an arrogant man as the owner of this place so rude in front of children whilst having a party here. If this is how he treats customers then he should enrol on a customer service course.

We were invited to a 7 year olds birthday party last night and the management and staff behaved disgracefully cutting the party short and throwing all parents and children out on a busy street in Durham at 6.45. I highly recommend all staff and management at this establishment take a crash course in customer relations.

Slow service, one person actually taking orders. Asked were toilets are to a young lad who said there were no toilets for customers to use, which coming in with kids isn't great. Banana milkshake was that watery we chucked it in the end. when we were sat at table someone elses order came to ours.
