The overflow carpark at Castlegate in Berwick will re-open before the summer holidays after being closed to allow for vital work.
For the overflow car park to be able to be used up to August 2021 several conditions had to be met, including some engineering work in the area.
The work has only just been able to start and unfortunately, the overflow car park cannot be re-opened before the work is complete.
... However they should be finished, weather permitting, by the end of June or at the latest in time for the school summer holidays.
Grass re-seeding will take place at a later date when there will be a minimal impact on the car park usage.
