When we came here for Sunday lunch last year it was a serve yourself carvery, which was great but made ya feel a bit guilty if like me you didn't manage to finish it. This year it's a set menu and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Roast pork n Yorkshire puddings to die for.

What a lovely place to stay with utterly stunning views and a family suite that is spacious, clean and perfect for our stay. The food is tasty and arrives promptly, the bar is clean and child friendly, the breakfasts are full of flavour.

One of the many best bits are the staff! Kate was as welcoming as she was helpful, we really couldn't have asked for more, with a 3.5 year old and a 7 month old to sort out, she and her team catered for everything we needed and more, from warm milk at bedtime,to dinner brought to our room once the children were asleep to evidence of real mermaids. Thank you so much for a wonderful time The Old Success you certainly are.

Well we have arrived home two tired humans and 3 exhausted dogs�. We stayed in the apartments at the old success (surfers)from the minute we arrived we where welcomed with open arms (2 carrying bags of dog food we had delivered). We have stayed here before and yet again the friendliness of all of the staff and I mean all was amazing,we have 2 Newfoundland’s and 1 St. Bernard so not small dogs (is it in your job description to love dogs because you all seem to) our dogs and us where welcomed every day and night, table reserved, which made our stay so much easier wether it was in the pub or up on the terrace. We will definitely be back you are all doing an amazing job thank you �

We had an excellent two night stay here this weekend. The room was amazing; very clean, great decor, and awesome views (we had the sunset room). The included breakfast was high quality, and very well cooked. We had two evening meals here, both of which were superb; high quality, locally sourced food cooked to a high standard. The bar is well stocked too. The highlight for us, however, was the staff (Kate, James, Laura, Babs, Shaun and Yannick) who went out of their way to be of assistance; I can honestly say that this level of customer service is uncommonly good!

This is a quintessential Cornish seaside pub. The views are exceptional and probably no finer in the entire land, but what really makes this place (as of 2018) is the wonderful staff.

The food is delicious and worth a visit. I visited last year too and couldn’t fault it then.

Loved the new look!! Menu just right!! Not overloaded that puts the quality way up. Beautiful goats cheese and beetroot salad with sweet potato fries. Perfectly fresh and delicious thank you!!

I’ve been visiting since the early 90’s and it’s Probably one of the best pub locations in cornwall, awesome friendly well informed staff, great food, incredibly well kept ales and a well priced and varied wine list that suits all tastes and budgets. The food is well prepared and very tasty, clearly there is a lot skill in the kitchen in order to maintain the quality they do and deal with the volume of visitors that arrive through their doors at once. We live 10 Miles away and it’s a real treat to have this fantastic pub on our doorstep - This place is going from strength to strength under the new management!

I love the old success and have done since the 90’s.The staff are always friendly and it’s a great pub and has always done good food. I had a meal there last night, the crab was wonderfully fresh but I was disappointed by the lack of salad and cold un-buttered new pots. A meal costing over£16 needs to be bigger, come on old success, you can do better � however the dolphins playing in the sea more than made it up

Great place to have a few rattlers and enjoy the sun and good food! Amazing staff all round, recommended highly!

Fantastic pub, hotel and live music venue with great staff and great food. Kate runs a tight ship! Some of the best views in the area too. Also recommend one of Lee’s legendary coffees � If you haven’t been, go! ��

Been visiting this place since I was a baby in the arms of my parents...we return every year & again today (I'm now 38!) with my two exhausted dogs after a 6 mile stint along the beautiful coastal path. Thank you to all your team for making us so welcome...your friendly approach, love of dogs & assistance with my pint to the table so I didn't spill with two dogs in tow was very much appreciated! Thank you.�

Amazing food! Had a Halloumi Burger, came with red peppers, mushrooms and chilli jelly.



On top of the amazing food, they had some really friendly and some recognisable bartenders who were amazing!



10/10 would highly recommend this place for a nice bite looking out across the beautiful Sennen beach! �

Had a lovely meal on Thursday evening and thoroughly enjoyed the pub quiz (which is run every Thursday); however when we returned on the Friday with my parents we were told they weren't serving food yet (5pm) despite a very large sign outside stating food served from 12pm, this was particularly frustrating as we had already paid for the public car park across the road (their car park was full) and we couldn't wait until the kitchen opened as we have a 4 month old

I wanted to give this 5 stars as my scampi was lovely. My grandaughter of 22 months we ordered her a pizza off the children's menu which was half a bread roll with some tinned tomatoes and cheese on top. For £5.95 It was really outrageous and the side salad was a heap of rocket. No tomatoes or cucumber although when asked they brought some. The menu also said they got a Capri Sun drink included but when we asked they didn't have any, but offered an alternative. The Old Success has been a favourite for some 45+ years and the renovations are fab but think "Dick Turpin" wrote the children's menu �

We have been holidaying in Sennen for 20 years and have spent many enjoyable evenings in the pub. A group of us were down this weekend to celebrate our daughter's wedding and thought we would pop in for a drink. Yes we got to sit outside with the wonderful view but sadly we could only afford 1 round of drinks. 1 pint of Tribute, 1 glass of red wine, 1 orange squash and 1 blackcurrant squash came to an eyewatering £12!!! There were many jokes made about phoning bank managers to extend overdrafts, re-mortgaging etc. Such a shame �

Lovely view had Sunday roast shame the food was just warm , sent it back to be warmed up but not a lot better the second time shame .

What as happened to this pub . Been coming here over 10 years and tonight it was dreadful . From the bar staff who looked like they didn’t want to be here .. no specials menus and nothing left on the menu to choose .. I went for chips and fish which I have had many times and was dreadful .. we won’t be coming back this week on our holiday and hope this pub gets back to normal as a prime location .. so diaaapointed
