What can I say we've just had a beautiful meal served by a wonderful waitress called Julie very friendly. Jack the chef cooked our meals to perfection nothing was too much trouble. Adam the bar manager is a very friendly guy he talked us through our wedding plans which is booked for September. Would definitely recommend the Owton Lodge for its friendly atmosphere and food.

Went yesterday was told 40 min wait and that’s how long we waited,, partner and daughter got surf and turf and I got black and blue burger all meals were lovely. Will definitely be going again. Gawjus.

We were there on 13 Oct 2017 place was fairly quiet the young girl took our order for food gave us our drinks she was friendly and polite our meals look about 10 mins to come I had the mixed grill absolutely spot on all red hot steak medium rare will go back for sure

Thanks to Adam and the team for a great breakfast last Sunday. Fifteen off us were served efficiently and without fuss. Great breakfast great service. Thank you.

New layout fab, didn't eat this time just drinks and our regular get together for karaoke night. New pub looks amazing...... Good luck Adam and staff let's get the Owton Lodge back on the map x

Great service, staff are very friendly, food was served quickly and lovely as always.

Called in for a main meal on a Sunday and everything was spot on. The service, the quality and served in a very reasonable time. We will be back.

great food as always chips are lush great re-furb just shame about the cutlery eating a chick-tastic with a fork that felt like a kids one ..lol mayb gettin some thicker bigger ones

Surprised how nice it looked inside, meal was enjoyable and a good price and the bottle of wine or two went down really well so did the price, just a pity coffee machine made a terrible noise at 10 pm when asked for a coffee they said the machine was self cleaning a little early to rap up but hey ho it didn't spoil our night, will go back with the girls again .

Since it’s a been refurbished nice place for a drink , food rubbish ask for a steak medium it came black burnt & rock hard couldn’t put the knife through it, we won’t be coming again for food has rather pay extra & go somewhere where you can enjoy a nice meal.

Wouldn’t even give it 1 star but went for a meal here yesterday the burger was cold and burnt the bacon tasted of grease and nothing else the chips where under cooked and hard in the middle and the onion rings where freezing, the cheese just tasted of vinegar waste of money which I’m absolutely furious about will not be returning.

Went tonight for food and it was inedible, the burger I got was dripping with grease, the chips were anaemic and rock hard!! To top it all off we ordered 2 orange and lemonades and they gave us orange and soda water!! Never returning

Waited and hour for dry rubber burnt Burger's burnt bacon .. Chips cooked in dirty oil.

Visited yesterday ,50 min wait on food , mixed grill came out looking like it had been cooked in a furness !!! Was burned black � chips tasted like they had been sat in fat the whole time the rest was gettin frazzled! My daughter ordered half roast chicken and today shes violently ill with diaroeah and sickness i wish i had taken pics of these meals cos id post them !! Can saferly say i wont be ordering food from here again , will just stick to a drink nxt time if there is a nxt time!!! , oh and bar area absoulutey stank of dirty drains ��

Our family visited here tonight, we waited over half an hour for food which was fine as this was explained when we ordered, but when the food came the chicken i received did not taste of chicken and the underneath was burnt and black, and this is all I could taste (I did not eat it after the second bite) my husbands bacon from his burger was also burned and black around the edges which was cleverly hid with cheese (this was also left). The mushroom and tomato we were given were very dry and black. The only good thing was our children liked their steak meal. We have visited here before and thought it was nice, but we certainly will not be back. We are off home to cook some decent unburnt food.
