This then, was a very special party! (our first time of posting a glimpse behind the scenes captured by @libertypearlphotography)
This birthday party was held last year in a secluded Cornish valley at historic @pengennamanor.
... We designed the flower instalation with the expert help of Anna from @wedding_flowers_incornwall_ Her blooms set the scene for a 5ft tall magic mushroom fairy house cake which hung from the rafters of the long barn.
With purple as the birthday girls favourite colour, the bright mushroom cap contained vanilla & blueberry cake. It was surrounded by sweet treats; elderflower jelly shots, deep chocolate tiffin, forest fruit tarts, fresh berry marshmallows, lemon curd filled macarons, Scottish tablet (as that is what fairies eat we're told), and much much more. This 6ft wide hanging grazing table, covered with real moss and delectable dishes, helped fuel their gathered guests throughout the party.

This weekend @thecakeshows in Birmingham we had some great company!
Cake industry friends new and old were there, bringing amazing work to the table. It was a long but brilliant three days.
Our legend of pop pictured here was commissioned by @cakestuffltd to celebrate the exciting launch of their new Eleganza modeling paste. We used this, in conjunction with Couture white, black and red fondant, @fractalcolors and @fayecahillcakedesign regency gold edible dusts.

Happy sunny memories captured beautifully by @zosiazacharia of a magical Jewish wedding in a private garden in London a couple of seasons back.
The stunning glass house was perfectly dressed with blush, white and leafy florals and foliage from royal florist @philippacraddock, and the guests dined on canapés, deliciously prepared dinner and drinks provided expertly by @foodstorylondon.
Our 6 tier dairy free kosher cake was adorned with sugar florals and foliage that reflected ...the design work of Philippa's team and our brides beautiful bouquet. It was lovely to work together to envision the living cake stand, made of fresh tiny leaves and wax flowers.
On one of the hottest days of the year the event team at @designsceneww worked hard with all the suppliers to deliver a dream of a wedding day for this lovely family.

Simple things.
The last 6 days have included judging for the Four Counties Awards, individual treats for a corporate brand activation event for 120 at @carbisbayhotel, a scale model sculpted @morganmotor (in red this time), and two deliciously striking cakes, both with complex and unusual sugar flower arrangements for weddings at @rockbeare_manor_ and @englishheritage Pendennis Castle. It's been quite a week!
So it's the simple things we're enjoying today. Good coffee. Wild s...eas. Space to stare at the horizon. Clean sinks. Time to love each other better.

When Inky from Inky & Grace sent us the image that was to inspire this sumptuous styled shoot at Pentillie Castle and Estate, we were utterly captivated. The Happy Accidents of the Swing by Fragonard was a painting I absolutely loved as a child (I was a strange little child). So it was lovely to immerse myself in the romance, and embrace the carefree joy (and ribbons) of the era!

What a treat it was, among the amazing chefs gathered to demo at @trurofoodfestival yesterday, to meet the lovely @irinitzortzoglou, winner of @masterchefuk.
Having watched her journey this year on the BBC, it was an absolute pleasure to watch live from backstage as she again surprised with new-to-us ingredients that brought fabulous deep flavour to her shrimp & mackerel dishes.

Eric and Eliana on their magical wedding day at Temple Beth el, New York.
They wanted levitation, and a white and purple English garden in sugar flowers.
Over 2,500 blooms, blossom and leaves were all handcrafted in New York in the 2 weeks before the wedding. That, and an elegantly spinning, floating top tier.
... It wasn't the only magical moment of the night! There was an unforgettable first dance, and a thousand precious memories made as our couple made their promises, smashed the glass, and began their married life together.
Our transatlantic team were honoured to be a small part of their big day.
