Penzance Cricket Description
Established in 1829, Penzance CC is a family-friendly cricket club based in the seaside town of Penzance, Cornwall. It is a club steeped in history, with over 185 years experience on the Cornish cricket circuit; having supplied the Cornwall Minor Counties team with numerous players over the years, and even an England international [Jack Richards] on one occasion.
The club play their home games at St. Clare, which features some of the best facilities in the region. The previous four years have seen the construction of a state-of-the-art pavilion, installation of an electronic score box, plus the arrival of a new sight-screen. 2016 brings further improvements, with the Club securing £60, 000 funding for brand new outdoor nets.
Penzance CC currently possess three competitive men's senior league teams and a midweek XI:
• 1st XI (ECB Premier League)
• 2nd XI (Division Three - West)
• 3rd XI (Division Six - West)
• Midweek XI (West Penwith Evening League)
As well as four youth cricket teams (open to boys and girls) at Under 11, Under 13, Under 15 & Under 17 level.
