Went today for a cup of tea and a snack. Looked at the menu board and was taken by the idea of having Afternon Tea. Best decision made. Service was extremely quick & efficient. Plenty of tea in the pot. AND the food was to die for. Everything was fresh with plenty of filling in both the sandwhiches and cakes. We even got to choose our own sandwhiches and cake rather then the Cafe giving you their choices. I'm not one for normally eating outside but as it was so nice decided to do so after checking the tables and seeing that they were also spotless. My first visit there but I cant see it being my last. Fantastic place and thouroughly deserve my five stars
Well worth a visit. Lovely plants, lots of varieties . The plants on sale can all be seen growing in the grounds The food at the cafe is excellent too. Also as an treat you can sit by the water and even see the steam train go by. It's even blows its whistle as it goes by.
We were recommended to go there by my sister, and we are both glad we went there. The cafe is in an idyllic setting by the river, the garden is beautiful. The garden centre is small but it does add to the charm and setting.
I'm afraid I'm saying all the wrong things, if too many people decide to visit it............
We visit Perry's very often, such a lovely pleasant place for me and my family and our little dog. Always service with a smile and very friendly staff. Can't beat having an ice cream overlooking the river Esk.
Highly recommended.
This place is well worth a visit, a haven of peace the gardens are beautiful with an array of plants for sale at reasonable prices. We didn't have time to sample the delights of the cafe but what we could smell and saw was all very tempting it all looked home cooked and those partaking appeared to be really enjoying it, we will definitely be going back!
This is my favourite tearoom we come several times throughout the season, my family have visited for years. An Absolutely wonderful place I love everything about it
โA Sunny Sunday at โ tray for Roweโ for tea & cake!
Regularly visit here as we live nearby. Beautiful setting with lovely staff and food. Lots of the 1* reviews are clearly people who have probably never been, leaving bad reviews to back up one situation which is unfair. Definitely recommend Perry's ๐๐ฝ Especially the desserts!
My husband and I sat outside in beautiful sunshine yesterday and had a lovely jacket potato, we've been quite a few times and can't fault the food or staff xx
Lovely place to be!
Lovely location for a cup of tea and homemade cakes
Love it ,the food is so fresh ,when the sun is out nothing is better then sitting out on the patio watching the stream with the birds ,I enjoy the looking around the shop, great place to go.
Gorgeous home cooked food and wonderful staff, will be back! Knowledgable staff in the shop too, lovely plants and I'm sure they sell Yankee candles in there too ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ
First time I had been here. It was much more than I had expected. Prices were reasonable and I loved the little write ups on the plants explaining how best to look after them. All finished off with a coffee and creamed scone by the river. Beautiful place and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Excellent tea for two today. I would also like to say. I have had prawn sandwiches for her and nowhere else can do them like this place. I could eat these from here from Monday till Sunday. Brilliant staff. Loved all of it. Will be back with our little dog Archie soon. And a nice little garden centre next to it with some lovely plants at very good prices. The garden centre is amazing. I just about get all of my plants for my garden from here. I cannot fault this place no matter what anyone says. I can sit here and watch the world go by. Love the duck family. Maybe nice to sell some duck food to feed them with.
Excellent location by the river, great food and varied choices to choose from, prices are good and I would recommended-it highly.
If you're into plants there is a good choice, rather nostalgic in its none commercial appearance with is refreshing and many parent plants can be seen growing in the shrubberies. There is also a putting green for the kids. Well worth a visit
Been going here for along time.. Took my mum yesterday.. For lunch it's a good ride out for my partner and I. As we live not far from sledmere... My mum near Stamford Bridge.. And they now do gluten free bread.. We like the shop and plants there always come back with something from. Perry's..
Beautiful riverside setting and lovely food. Always plenty of staff on who are all friendly and helpful. Very efficient. We have also hosted a baby shower there, which was set out and decorated lovely for us before we arrived and the afternoon tea was just perfect! Homemade cakes are spot on ๐๐ป
A lot depends on the weather, beautiful to sit beside the river with a cupper and cake. Lovely hot meals also and lots of garden plants. Very friendly staff. Plenty of room inside if the weather is a bit iffy
yesterday i visited here, as i have many times over t
r her partner, their little girl, my foster child and of course myself. my daughter was picking up things for her daughter to look at , as ido try and teach them respect for other peoples property, and we did nt want her braking anything. at this point we was nt sure if we could pay by card or it was cash only, so her partner went out the ask the chap outside, (whom we had said hello to on way in and my grand daughter was laughing at his dog as it was sat on counter). he came back in to say it was cash only.not a problem i said theres a little supermarket in sleights we can get some cash, and buy the planters my daughter had picked for her birthday, and a toy each for the children. we walked out all of us, enjoying our time there. when we heard the chap say check the cameras. we looked round thinking he was obviously talking about someone else, but no he was talking about us, i asked if he had a problem with us been in the shop, he said you were passing thing to each other, my daughter had shown her partner the toy their little girl wanted. he said you could having been pinching it, he then followed us to my car, took my reg number. now correct me if i m wrong but if you have suspicions someone is pinching something you would first check your camera to prove it. , then maybe make the accusations and maybe the police should have been called. this chap would not give it a rest all the way to my ar he was saying i think you ve pinched something. i really wish you d have phoned the police. maybe i should have. one thing for sure. you lost a good sale that day, and we won t be visiting again. what a horrible man
