Pets at Home will suspend the sale and adoption of rabbits at all of our 450 plus stores this Easter.
Customers will not be able to buy or adopt a rabbit from Good Friday to Easter Monday and are instead invited to take part in FREE workshops over the Easter holidays and weekend. Pets at Home is taking these steps in order to educate and inform future pet owners on the importance of responsible pet ownership.
The workshops aim to promote awareness of rabbit welfare and help ...prospective rabbit owners make an informed decision about the long term commitment that comes with owning a pet. The My Pet Pals Easter activity club will be held on Friday 19th, Saturday 20th and Monday 22nd at Pets at Home stores throughout the holidays, where fun, interactive activities will educate the next generation of pet owners on how to care for small furry animals, responsibly. Rabbits have complex welfare needs and live for many years which, we believe, can make them unsuitable as a first pet for small children.
