Lots of fun at our Artisan Food Evening at the Northallerton Group last night where we did Gin Tasting with Howard from Edinburgh Gin and learned how to make sausages like professionals with Claire from Northumbrian Sausage Company - Northumberland

Here’s a date for your diaries ladies, we’re so excited to be attending this years Festival of Thrift at Kirkleatham Hall, for anyone that hasn’t been before its amazing day with lots of activities and things to see and do for all of the family!
We’re going to be holding a drop in herb planting & decoupage workshop with our friends at Ravensworth Nurseries and will have tea and refreshments available too!
ButterCream - Cakes by Emma Pearson will be bringing some of her amaz...ing cakes & scones along too! Which we know lots of our members are huge fans of! 🍰

We’ve had such a lovely time this afternoon at our silver members club listening to Claire Louise singing wartime classics and eating cream scones 😊

Don’t forget, it’s our Silver Members Club meeting today 2-4pm at St Augustine’s. We’ve got Claire Louise coming along to entertain us, there’ll be a sing-a-long and even cream scones. It’s going to be fab afternoon!

We’re looking to start 3 new groups in the Autumn, a daytime Darlington group, one in Richmond and also Middlesbrough.
We’d love your help with some venue suggestions for Richmond & Middlesbrough please!
Our groups tend to be quite big so a church hall or room would need to hold 60+ people and we’d like to be able to do our own catering so would need kitchen facilities.
... The new Darlington group will be the third Thursday of the month at St Augustine’s Parish Centre (same day as the evening group), more details about the timings to follow.

Does anyone else have a closet with newish clothes that you no longer wear?
Why not swish them!
Swishing is basically swapping, so you bring 8 items of clothes, shoes and accessories and leave with 8 items from other swishers!
... It’s a great way to try new clothes or styles you may not of bought.

We had such a therapeutic afternoon yesterday with our silver members group painting stones. How lovely are these? 💕

We’re having a clothes swish at the Darlington Group tonight along with a talk from local stylist Jill Green.
We have some guest spaces if anyone would like to come along?
The clothes swish works by you bringing upto different items of clothes, shoes and accessories. You get 8 tickets and can swap for things on the rails, we always have loads of choice! The clothes need to be in good condition and clean, and on hangers.
... It’s a fab opportunity to clear out your waredrobe and swap for something different, we’ve held several swishes and they are always super popular!

We’ve had a brilliant night at the Hurworth Group tonight learning some motor mechanics with Skipbrige Motors and also magic tricks with Richcraft Rich.
To balance all of manly things we had a lovely raffle prize of a gel manicure kindly donated from our friends at REJOY in Cockerton

Had a lovely time this morning at Darlington indoor market teaching a group of ladies how to make felt flower brooches. Thanks to Sew Fabrics Darlington for supporting the workshop with felt and fabric.

Pimm's & Needles is a rapidly expanding ladies club offering fun activities to try each month!
This month our ladies are trying some fab activities such as life drawing, learning magic & basic motor mechanics, making chocolates, gin tasting and sausage making, as well as making candles!
... Come on your own to meet new likeminded ladies or with friends / relatives. Our groups are super friendly and very welcoming. Its a great way to have a bit of "me time" and try a new activity each month.
We now have over 600 ladies across the North East and Yorkshire that join us each month!

Pimms & Needles is a fantastic ladies community group. A great opportunity to have some 'me time', catch up with friends, make new friends and learn new skills. I've really enjoyed life drawing, pottery making, wreath making, learning salsa and creating hampers. Would highly recommend this group.

Love this group! I attended on my own at the launch of the Hurworth group. Didn't know anyone so I had to go up to a group on a table and ask if I could join them! Everyone is so welcoming. Love learning new skills and taking part in activities I wouldn't normally get chance to do.

Looking forward to next month already! X
