About Plantpots Playgroup/Preschool
Plantpots Playgroup /Preschool is an Ofsted registered nursery school for children aged 2-5 at Great Park Community Centre, Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne.
Plantpots Playgroup/Preschool Description
At Plantpots Playgroup we help children learn through play with a particular emphasis on free flow outdoor play. We are based in the new Great Park Community Centre, Gosforth, and take children aged between 2-5 years. Our hours are from 9am-3pm, Monday to Friday, term time only.
Led by a qualified teacher and fully Ofsted registered. Government grants are accepted, including those for eligible two year olds.

Preschool and playgroup have had lots of fun this week exploring pumpkins. ¤Äā¤Äā¤Äā¤Äā¤Äā¤Äā¤Äā¤Äā¤Äā¤Äā ¤Äā¤Äā¤Äā¤Äā¤Äā¤Äā¤Äā¤Äā We have carved and decorated our very own in a playgroup verses preschool competition, we now hand it over to the parents and carers to vote on a winner.
What a lovely term we have had. WeŌĆÖve made some lovely friends and canŌĆÖt wait to see them all after half term to hear about all their adventures ¤śŖ¤śŖ¤śŖ¤īł

I would like to remind all parents and carers that today is the cut off day for ordering your Christmas cards.
¤ōÜThis week Playgroup children have enjoyed looking at 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears' as our story of the week! ¤ōÜ We had a very simple set up which allowed children to practice counting objects up to 3 and also to introduce some language of size! We have been discussing which was biggest, which one was smallest and which one was medium sized! This book also prompted some of the children to talk about feelings - one of our clever Plantpots explained "them bears is sad, the girl is sad and runned away, she's scared" ¤æ¦¤Å╝¤É╗¤É╗¤É╗
The children love to prepare their own snack, chopping up the vegetables. ¤źÆ¤źÆ¤źÆ¤źÆ¤źÆ¤źÆ¤źÆ¤źÆ¤źÆ¤źÆ ¤źÆ¤źÆ¤źÆ¤źÆ¤źÆ¤źÆ¤źÆ¤źÆ

Playgroup enjoyed some autumn ¤Źé air in the park after jo jingles this morning. We had lots of fun showing off our running and climbing skills.

Preschool enjoyed a lovely autumn walk ¤Źé¤Źé¤Źé¤Źé¤Źé¤Źé¤Źü¤Źü¤Źü¤Źü ¤Źü¤Źü¤Źé¤Źé¤Źé¤Źé¤Źé¤Źé We discovered little dinosaurs ¤”¢ that we were careful not to squash. Not forgetting our big fat caterpillar ¤Éø¤Éø¤Éø¤Éø¤Éø¤Éø¤Éø¤Éø¤Éø¤Éø ¤Éø¤Éø¤Éø¤Éø¤Éø¤Éø¤Éø¤Éø¤Éø¤Éø We even spotted a butterfly ¤”ŗ or two
¤ÆÖ¤¦Ī¤æŗ whoŌĆÖs ready to shake up wake up?¤æŗ¤¦Ī¤ÆÖ
Wow, Amazing, you will not be disappointed and neither will your child!! So much variety to hold children's interest. Fantastic, caring staff go above and beyond what's required. All of this and still with a personal connection, best nursery any of my children have gone to, will definitely be sending my youngest when she's old enough. If you could rate more than 5* I would!
We had tried to send our little boy to another nursery without success, he just didn't settle, so I was really nervous when I took him to plantpots. Tam was amazing and all the staff were just so reassuring, and after a few sessions he loved it!!! He has been going for a year now and absolutely adores all the staff and his time there! He always has so much fun and comes home with lots of stories and fun tales!!
Today was my son's 1st day, working in childcare myself I know how daunting it can be for the children but now I'm in the parents shoes (eeek) and I've been terrified, but I couldn't be happier!! He absolutely loved it! Can't thank yous enough for looking after Elliot today. He's not stopped talking about playgroup and how he has to go back tomorrow!! I'm over the moon. Yous are very friendly and welcoming and I'm pleased it's you's caring and guiding my son into becoming an amazing little boy along with myself and husband. Thankyou
This is the first playgroup my little girl has attended and she absolutely loves it! All the staff are brilliant.
The best playgroup I have had a child in by far. It is so educational with extra activities arranged weekly such as pj drama. There is such a loving atmosphere and I feel like the staff really care about my daughter. The building is brand new and spotless. The range of toys are first class. Children have access to outside and great space to play. Healthy snacks are provided. My child has 3 action packed mornings a week and I'll be doing 5 when she gets a bit older we are missing out school nursery as plantpots is more than adequate. We are thrilled with this playgroup. Parents are kept informed with a board showing the weeks timetable and a news letter as well as the lots of art projects to view.
So excited for plant pots to open. Best wishes.
I couldn't think of a better team to be running the pre-school you get five stars from me all day everyday. First hand experience thank you for making my nursery such a success so happy for you to be opening plant pots xx

If you want somewhere where your child/children will be nurtured, encouraged and developed at their own pace then this is the place to have them!
Plantpots is a fantastic playgroup and pre-school. My daughter started over a year ago. She is now in preschool and she absolutely loves it, learning something new everyday. She would go on a weekend if she could! The teachers are lovely and all bring something different to help the kids along on their learning journey. I would highly recommend Plantpots.
Our daughter goes to Plantpots. The staff are what makes it so excellent. Our daughter looks forward to going every day and is always singing the songs and talking about her friends. The staff genuinely care for the children like their own. Warm, friendly, fun and educational. Fantastic! :D
My little boy Zac goes to Plantpots and he absolutely loves it! The girls are fantastic, the play room is lovely and the outdoor play area is perfect for little ones. I couldn't recommend highly enough!
My daughter started Plantpots in January. I'd never left her with anyone other than family, so it was a big step (mainly for me!).
She has settled in brilliantly and thoroughly enjoys the varied activities during her mornings at Plantpots.
The staff are great and my daughter regularly talks about them & all the fun she's had.

My boy only just started with plantpots yesterday, but i can tell we all going to enjoy even more. After finished his first session he said, he had a great time and can't wait to go again. My husband and i already notice the different that our boy now more independent. Happy toddler - Happy Parent’┐Į
My 3 year old has always enjoyed a range of activities to keep him stimulated and this made me nervous about enrolling him in a playgroup opposed to a full time nursery where he has been since he was 1 year old. Though he is at the playgroup only 2 days a week, Plantpots has exceeded my expectations by striking a well rounded balance of a wide range of activities with changing themes every week whilst maintaining a consistency to promote learning and development.
As a parent it is wonderful to see him get absorbed in and focus in such a calm, child-led playgroup. I highly recommend this playgroup and only wish it was full time. Keep up the fab work!
James had a wonderful time there, made lots of friends and has missed Plantpots all summer long. Thanks to all the team x

I hope that this review will give you an alternative viewpoint. I am the owner of Bone Desert Cycling and visit many Early Year Learning centres around the region delivering #balanceability as well as #bikeability to their children. Plantpots Playground/Preschool are extremely conscientious in terms of safe guarding and the wellbeing of their children. It is always interesting to observe how children react to their Learning staff and I think it is a great barometer in terms of behaviour and respect. The 30 pupils I delivered #balanceability recently to were impeccably well behaved, open, friendly and willing to try their best. It is always great to work in an environment like this. Looking forward to Preschool year '17/18 and seeing these cycling rising stars develop.
Fun group, well organised and professional. Always something imaginative and interesting going on!
Day 1 and already in love with this place and the staff! Constantly hearing good things from others as well there just not a bad thing to be said! My little girl is really going to grow here!
Amazing team and amazing nursery. My daughter was very clingy before she started and now she asks if she can go on a Saturday and Sunday. So, so happy.
