Demolition of the dilapidated buildings to the rear of the hotel has almost finished - next stop, the roof!

Work to open our new Bar and Restaurant is still moving forward, with a target opening date of late spring 2020.
The interior of the building has been stripped back to its original core, which has been a bigger job than we initially anticipated. It was only once we were inside did we appreciate the complexity of transforming the historic site, and we’ve had to go back to the drawing board to revisit the layout a number of times.
We are determined to approach the project sensi...tively and preserve those aspects of the building which are historically and emotionally important. Work to demolish and rebuild the two rear wings will get underway as soon as possible and the entire roof is going to be replaced on the main building.
We are extremely excited to be moving into Morpeth, we appreciate the anticipation of local people, and we acknowledge that the Queens Head holds important memories for many local people. We are committed to ensuring that nobody will be disappointed.
Once the new Pleased To Meet You is open, it will also include a tea room, rooms for the night, a ballroom, wedding garden, open fires and private dining.
