I'm a full-time, pro magician, performing at all sorts of events around the world; weddings, corporate, private, birthdays, celebrity and charity. I signed up with poptop about six months back and already about 10% of my bookings come via poptop



Their enquiry system is great, their booking fees are fair and they are very responsive and helpful. Usually, these sort of entertainment planning/agency websites attract clients scrimping around for the cheapest quote. But that really isn't the case here. Poptop have the odd few (obviously) who just want a cheap entertainer/supplier, but they also have high-end clients looking for quality over price



I HIGHLY recommend poptop to entertainers and suppliers! (Not magicians though! Magicians, don't sign up, it's rubbish.. Jokes)! ;)

PopTop makes an amazing & fair business. Out of several alike platforms PopTop is the one and only, which started returning straightaway without begging money from neither service seekers, nor service providers. Having paid sensible volume of money to other platforms, I had nothing in return, and was very disappointed with their efficiency upon coming across to PopTop. As a portrait photographer I must emphasise: there're services tailored up for individuals, and there's no such general rule which could blindly apply to everyone; so that a primary access of a client to a service provider should be granted for free to discuss a potential match. PopTop works on commission basis from the deal, that is finally sorted and confirmed by the client (not just for a single chance to access a client as he/she might change their mind at the end.) As simple as that.



Within couple of weeks after getting registered with PopTop and paying no penny in front (!) I received several requests and had 99% of them confirmed asap.



Apart from that, filters system works so well that I may not even think of it. Having been registered as a photographer, I never receive the requests for magicians or wedding carriages (which I'm bothered by from similar platform, and magicians seekers keep on updating me even after I had optimised the search options.)

If you are planning an event then Poptop is the place to go. Paige supplied a list of caterers and musical entertainment and they were great. I definitely recommend Poptop.

I've used Poptop for 2 family fun days that I've organised in the North West during the Summer and find them extremely useful.

The facepainters were very punctual and very good as was Mr Squeaky who kept the children and adults entertained throughout.

If you would like your singer to turn up at your event, then i strongly advise to book locally and through word of mouth. Not on the internet and through this website. I should have trusted my gut instincts, and looked for something more secure. No deposit and just there say so means they havent lost anything when they dont turn up. I had planned my party for months, and was left devastated and highly embarrassed in front of 100 guests when my singer- Holly Jayne, was a no show. Only when i phoned and phoned was i informed she was not coming, One hour after the party had started. Had i been informed earlier and with the power of social media, i may have been able to find a last min replacement. Not left high and dry and looking like a total muppet. No apology has been sent,as i suppose it doesnt matter to them. If you live to take risks,then go ahead and risk it but if like me, you plan everything, this is your one and only event, and you dont want to end the night,and days afterwards feeling crushed,then dont use these or Holly Jayne,go reliable and local.

Had a few replies asking for payment but getting no information about the videographer we had a quote from . It's like I am sending emails to someone that doesn't exist.

BEWARE As a musician advertising on this site I am now wondering if it's a scam and that any enquiry you get are made up by James and co.

When send emails asking them to contact you (4 times ) you get no response whatsoever.
