Two adorable dogs to draw as I near the end of my portrait commitments.
First, commissioned by Julie Jeffries Kenny, in memory of Dougal the Westie, a portrait for her friend Scott Thomson. Second, Lucca the French Bulldog, commissioned by Paul Colling for his wife Lynsey.

Something a little different for the village pub. Great opportunity to use my imagination.

Well, as I near the end of my spell of dog portraits I'm pleased to share this really special portrait. Commissioned by Dale Mumford, for his wife (boss) Julie Mumford, to celebrate their forth coming 25th Wedding Anniversary, I had the pleasure of bringing past and present together. In memory of Baloo (front right) and Ella (back right) and the current family, Boog (black lab) and Ella (white staffie). A challenge to say the least. x

This is Taz, a gorgeous Patterdale Terrier owned by Cath Bell and Colin Pattison. Raising money for a good cause they were the highest bidder when a commissioned drawing was auctioned at the Hare and Hounds, Westgate. ❤❤

When I was asked by Dani Jackson to do a drawing of Oscar & Poppy for her partner Ian's 40th it was a little worrying as to how I could do them justice. I'm pleased to say they liked the end result. Happy 40th (a little belated) to Ian. x

Jill is an excellent artist. I commissioned her to draw my parents westie for a Christmas present. They were overjoyed with it and the canny resemblance she managed to get . It now has pride of place in the living room . Thank you Jill!!!!!

I have known Jill for many years and always knew that she was an excellent artist, however when I commissioned her for a portrait of our 2 dogs for my husband for his birthday, I don't think that even I would imagine how true to life it would be. It is simply amazing and she has totally captured their characters from our old boy Ben's dulling ageing eyes and his small cleft lip to the cheeky smile and bright eyes of our younger boy Brodie. It brought tears to my eyes when I collected it, it was so realistic and Craig was over the moon with it. We will treasure this for ever!! Thank you so much Jill - Kate xx
