Thoroughly enjoyed our 3night stay here 25th - 27th June. Myself, my Husband, our twin girls and our three month old baby stayed in one of the pods. Our first experience of ‘ Glamping ‘ . We found the pods to be lovely and clean with fridge and kettle. All the facilities were extremely clean & the staff were more than accommodating, friendly and professional. This is somewhere we hope to return year on year and would highly recommend to family and friends!

Spent Easter weekend here as part of a Facebook competition win. It was certainly a good choice from the many locations available. My first time glamping but the wigwams were warm and comfortable and we all slept well. I liked the fact that the shower block had individual units each with their own toilet and each one individually lockable. The kitchen was large, well equipped and comfortable and we managed also to pick up a take away menu from the kitchen and got a delivery to the wigwam. There was no problem borrowing glasses or plates etc from the kitchen as long as they were returned after use.

The food in the onsite cafe was of a high standard and plentiful with friendly and attentive service. The onsite shop was reasonably priced and we picked up a decent bottle of wine for £6.

Overall we found the site to be relaxing and welcoming with lots of lovely local places to visit. We particularly enjoyed Eyemouth and Seahouses is also well worth a visit.

Lovely site, clean and tidy

Staff friendly and helpful

Pods basic with only a kettle, fridge and small heater, but lovely and warm, even when it was chucking it down outside.

Will

Definitely be back at some point in the future

Had a fantastic time!! The actual place is great, very beautiful. Very clean with loads of facilities for cooking etc. You feel like you're in the middle of nowhere , great to escape every day life and appreciate being out in the open. But also lovely staff!! Made a huge difference to our stay. The shop and restaurant staff were lovely and had the best big breakfast!! But the owners were amazing. My stupid car decided to break down on the way so we arrived quite late and were cold and starving, and they came out of their way to provide us with a fire pit to warm up and toast a few marshmallows! Was a perfect way to end my disastrous day I'd been having! Very grateful

User

Had a fantastic time here in April, the site itself is brilliant, toilets are immaculate and staff are friendly. The pods were bigger and better than what I imagined, warm and really comfortable. We paid extra for the bbq hut which was amazing! Well worth doing! The cakes in the cafe are nice too! Really reccomend this place. Can’t wait to return L x

Fantastic!!

My 7 year old Son & I decided on Tuesday morning to go on a little adventure & id heard about this place.

From loading our car with our duvets & sleeping bags to re loading the following morning, we enjoyed every bit.

The reception was so welcoming and actually everyone we came across were friendly.

Our pod was clean and basic but the kitchen area had everything we needed to borrow for the night, plates, cutlery, glasses and mugs.

William loved lighting the bbq ( a challenge in the wind I tell you) and cooking our suppers.

The fire pit was the perfect end to our day and we sat until we could see the stars roasting marshmallows & fruit on it.

Most deffinately will return, hopefully for 2 nights next time.

P.s the breakfast we had in the cafe/ restaurant was truly delicious and staff again were so friendly,

Pot a doodle do, you got a 20/10 from William

User

Currently here now and all I can say is fantastic !!! Children are having an amazing time and the staff have helped us so much thanks pot o doodle do we will definitely be returning

User

Can't really fault it at all, food is fantastic, place is lovely and even the prices aren't deadly and I'm a Scotsman!

Staff are all smiles, very polite and friendly. We will be back, whether on this holiday or a trip down on the motorbikes another time.

User

Another great weekend away at Pot-a-Doodle-Do, came last year and stayed in a yurt which we loved but this year tried a wig wam. Really roomy and would definitely stay in one again. Staff were great and loads for the kids to do. Will be back next year x

User

Amazing place, we have had an amazing time although very windy, with showers of snow and rain. Been down onto the beach, painted a lovely ornament, had a lovely breakfast and tea will be back in the summer.

User

Absolutely fantastic site! We’ve just come back from a short, two-night ‘break’ with our 1 and 2 year old and could not have enjoyed it more. The site was perfect for all of us and we loved our wigwam. We like camping and go often but always stay in a tent. We’ve never found the ‘perfect’ campsite until now. Some try too hard to provide activities/entertainment and some (as much as we loved it pre-children) just don’t have enough for us. This was just right. We are hoping to come back in the summer if we can get booked in...!

User

AMAZING! Just returned from a 2 night stay with my partner. What a beautiful site, Lovely staff and all the facilities you could need.

We stayed in a standard wigwam which had ALOT of space and was perfect for us. There is a very clean communal kitchen and shower block, everything you could need is in the kitchen for you to use.

The site is very clean, the owner of the site is lovely, we ran out of logs for our fire and within minutes of a phone call the owner appeared with more for us.

Will definitly be back, cannot wait to book up again!

Thank you x

8 of us (4 adults, 4 children) stayed here at the end of May. The site was very calm, relaxing, clean & tidy and the staff were friendly & helpful. The play area was great for the kids to play with lots of space to run around. We also walked about a mile to the beach which was lovely (we had 2 good weather days). We hired a bbq hut on our 2nd night which we all enjoyed. The wigwam was quite spacious compared to what I thought it would be before we went. It was clean & tidy and a lot warmer than I expected.

User

Had a lovely 2 night stay in a spacious, clean & comfortable(ish) wigwam. The fridge in the wigwam was bigger than I anticipated - it fit in all of our food & drinks easily! The campfire was a fun extra - I would highly recommend booking one!

I didn’t use the kitchen facilities much, only to fill our kettles & water bottles. From what I saw it was clean & well maintained.... except from some things which had not been washed up properly by other guests.

The only things which I was unhappy with were .... the showers being a constant 42 degrees .... OUCH! A bit colder would have been nicer! Secondly, the cleanliness of the toilet block... when we first arrived on the Wednesday afternoon it had just been cleaned, it was spotless. But by the time I used the facilities on Friday morning they were so bad that I almost threw up.

I would absolutely come again, but I don’t think I could stay for more than 2 nights.

User

Great location and well set out. Plenty of space for kids to run about and close to the beach. Huts were big, clean, comfortable and warm. On site facilities good and kept clean ( we all found then showers a bit hot tho with no control, which made washing the children awkward)

Breakfast from the cafe was excellent.

An area for using disposable bbqs would be good but understand people can not be trusted to use/dispose of them correctly. (The bbq huts look great but more suited to a larger group of people)

Would come back, all had a great time.

User

Lovely site but not what we thought we had booked as there was a mis communication when booking via the telephone. We thought we were getting something we weren’t....cabin with toilet, shower, plates cups etc. as that’s what we had asked for. Then when I asked about a refund for the second night as were not prepared for a two night stay in an empty cabin I was told no refunds are given. Unfortunately me and my 1yr old son became sick with a bug it wasn’t pleasant at all with no facilities in the cabin so we made the decision to leave early hours as it wasn’t a pretty sight ( never is when poorly and camping/glamming). So I’ve paid for a weekend away and even tho we couldn’t even enjoy one night and with no chance of getting a penny back. Safe to say I’m upset I lost out on a holiday and then didn’t even get to cancel second night. I’m only glad I hadn’t booked longer. Places like this should be more clear on what the client is getting before booking as questions were asked. I Won’t be staying again mainly as it was not good value for money.
