Oh & this one...isn’t just any Chicken Burger....But a Buttermilk Cajun fried chicken burger, with paprika salted fries , jalapeno coleslaw and charred lime. 😇😈

What a brilliant place and brilliant staff. My brother and sister in law had their wedding meal and night time reception there on Saturday and it was amazing. The staff couldn't have done anymore. Thank you all for making there wedding such a special occasion.

We held our day time and evening reception on 16/06/2018. What a fabulous day from start to finish. Thank you to Darab, Leona, Kevin, chefs, waiting staff and bar staff. You provided fantastic memories - so thank you. The venue was decorated to our requirements. All the guests agreed the food not only looked fantastic but tasted fantastic. Florence catered to our specific dietary needs, even providing vegan alternatives for the bride! I would certainly recommend Florence Bar and Bistro to anyone who has a special occasion coming up. Once again, thank you for a wonderful day.x

Visited tonight with a friend and we both loved it!! I ordered from the Thursday special Thai menu and my friend ordered from the ala carte menu and all food was absolutely beautiful! The cocktails we had that were made by Kev also went down a treat! Brilliant food, brilliant cocktails and brilliant service! Will definitely be back! Thank you to all staff for such a lovely evening!

Visited the other night, had the soup to start, which was one of the nicest soups I've ever tasted, followed by the crispy belly pork which absoloutley melted in my mouth. Rounded off with the sticky toffee pudding, unreal!



Drinks were a bargain at only 2.50 a pint! Don't get that many places round here.



Staff were very attentive, especially the young blonde waitress, forget her name! But she looked after us all night and nothing was too much trouble.



Highly recommend and would visit again in a heartbeat!

Had the special menu, Black Pudding starter was to die for. The sauce was divine.



Followed by Best of British Fish and Chips (boring choice I know).



One of the nicest fish and chips I have ever had in a restaurant.



Couldn’t fault the food or service.



Followed up with a quiz in the bar area after we left the restaurant.

Lovely meal tonight, such a relaxed atmosphere and great service. Especially from the young girl with the brown hair who was taking our orders etc. There was a wait for food due to two large parties and we hadn't bookedbut this was handled really well and we were kept up to date. Food was lovely quality and felt like a lovely relaxed meal, even with my two year old! Definitely will be back �

Lovely bar and restaurant, decor very new, rustic and inviting. I had been in previously for a drink in the bar and had been waiting to try the food. Went in on a cold snowy Thursday after whilst waiting for work being done on my car nearby. A few tables in restaurant were busy but quite quiet. Lovely open fire to warm up next to as well.

Asked for a seat, got a nice corner seat since I was dining alone. Had the 2 course for £9.95 where I opted for the garlic mushrooms and then a main of fish and chips. Couldn't have been more happy, the mushrooms were well cooked and garlic sauce wasn't too runny. Toasted bread underneath very nice too, lots of mushrooms as well. Short wait about 15 mins to next course, the fish and chips were amazing. Huge huge fish portion and home made chips with mushy peas, salad and tartae sauce. Nothing was an issue for staff even got a take away box as couldn't finish the fish. Would def return, very reasonable and quality was fab.

I was in for lunch with my sister and baby daughter today. My daughter wouldn't settle so the waiter took my food back to keep it warm and even offered to push her around for me so I could eat. Food was delicious too but service is above and beyond.

Had lunch today with a friend..... lovely fresh good quality food....served by very pleasant staff and at such a reasonable price. I think this restaurant is by far the best in the area.

First time we’ve been and it was amazing! Matt’s service was fabulous and even let us try the cocktail of the night! The food was all beautiful too! Deffo be coming back ��

First time I've been here after hearing mixed reports so decided to try for ourselves, so glad we did, it was lovely!! Two mains of fish and chips and desserts of sticky toffee pudding and ice cream and my friend had the toffee apple crumble and custard, couldn't be faulted. Very relaxed atmosphere, delicious food and really friendly attentive staff. Definitely worth the visit and won t be the last.

Been dying to try this place for ages, eventually got there today and was not disappointed, fab atmosphere, thirst quenching cocktails and delicious food, will be returning to eat and drink my way through the menu and cocktail list!!!! 1st class and service with a smile which makes it worth while ��

Very,very disappointed. Booked a table for 2pm. It took ten minutes to get a drink. After ordering we were still sitting there at 2-50pm without anything. After complaining the dessert arrived before our main meal. Eventually at 3-10pm our Sunday roast arrived, which was OK but by that time anything would of been satisfactory. Lovely place, let down by terrible service

Girls lunch out yesterday. The starters were absolutely first class, to die for! All ordered fillet steaks, didn't have any so asked for next best cut (rump or sirloin was offered). Two ordered medium/rare, I ordered medium....mine came well well done, friend's came well done, not a smidgen of pink. Loads of fat round edge, terrible steaks. Ordered desserts, oh wow, totally redeemed themselves. Had a word with the head chef, he'd made starters and desserts, no surprise there, absolutely outstanding, hats off to chef's skills. Hope he trains the others quick. Saying all that, we'd definitely go back, and all are ordering each others starters, (black pudding, haggis, salmon). My dessert won the show, a huge toffee apple crumble and custard.....oh lordy lordy lordy!!...but the sticky toffee pudding and the cheesecake were very close behind.

First visit, lovely place, loved the decor and staff all really helpful and friendly. My risotto was tasty but very rich so perhaps a slightly smaller portion and a side salad or garlic bread with it would be better as I was sick of it before the end. My Dad and son had burgers, my dad wasn't that keen but son ate all his, chips were good. My mam said the ciabatta was ok, could have been a bit nicer, maybe with a nice relish? The desserts were ok but the sticky toffee pudding itself was very dry- shame as the butterscotch sauce and ice cream were nice. Not the best first visit but I will definitely try it again due to the good points and staff.

4 of visited yesterday with my friends 14 month old twin grandchildren for lunch. We each had a different , smoked crab, goats cheese, bacon and Brie and roast of the day. The babies shared a child's meal between them. It was beautifully presented and very very tasty. The staff were friendly but not not obtrusive. The only fault we could pick up on was it was very draughty where we were sitting. We did point it out but it was an exceptionally cold day yesterday. That said we will definitely go back, we'll just sit no where near the window!

We booked for Sunday lunch and were seated next to a freezing cold window with a draft which wasn’t great given there was another table available at the top of the stairs for the duration of our meal which would have been warmer, and the waitress acknowledged that it was very cold where we were sat (other people in the dining room had their coats on). The starter and main were both good and all members of the group enjoyed them. We were then left at the bottom of the dining room for 40 minutes with our dirty plates in front of us and were not offered any more drinks or desert which all of the party would have had. Other people around us got served (there was plenty of staff available) but we were just left like we were invisible. We eventually just went and paid at the bar and left, sadly what was lovely food was ruined by the poor service and freezing dining room.

The service leaves a lot to be desired here. We were told that there was a 40 minute wait for food, fine, we'll just drink we said. Trying to get hold of someone for a fresh drink was hard work. When we did, they had to get someone else to take our drink order �

We came for a late lunch at 2:30 and have just left at 4:30 after having a antipasto starter to share and a sandwich each.

My salad was warm and wilted and the coleslaw was hot (Yes, hot, I could barely pick up the metal dish it came in). It seemed a bit of a chore to get mayo and tomato sauce for our chips and no one asked how out meals were until we were finished. To be fair, our sandwiches were tasty!

I've had slow service here before and foolishly gave it another chance. Not again.

Pre booked a table 3 weeks ago for Mother's Day for 4pm, arrived at 10 to 4 and when I let a member of staff know we arrived all I was told was "oh we've been like this since 2 o'clock, please take a seat in the bar area and we will come and get you once your table is ready" totally unaware that what the young girl meant was that we would be waiting 45mins just to be seated at our pre booked table. We ordered drinks in the bar area when we arrived and never received the cocktails that were ordered. After repeatedly asking members of staff where our drinks were we were told they were busy but would be made 'soon'. When we were eventually seated we were handed menus which were different to the original menu posted on facebook when I booked the table. No children's menus were given to us, so not quite sure if they expected a 4 and 1yr old to eat a 2 course meal for £14.95... There were numerous tables where people were waiting to be served so we knew it was going to be another lengthy wait for our food. The children began to get irritable due to hunger so we decided to leave. By this point the cocktails which we ordered on arrival still hadn't been made! After explaining to a member of staff that we weren't happy with the service and asking for the money back for our cocktails they tried to get us to stay by offering free drinks and a free meal. We decided not to take them up on their offer due to the fact of how many people were still waiting to be served. They reimbursed us for all of our drinks. It's such a shame because it's a beautiful place but the service is appauling. Surely after serving Christmas lunch they should be able to handle Mother's Day?
