About Prudhoe Waterworld

The centre has a large leisure pool with wave machine, aqua slide and beach area where children and adults can swim, play and relax!

Prudhoe Waterworld Description

A fully equipped gym with equipment ranging from free weights to cardiovascular machines. There is also a Bouldering Wall suitable for all abilities and aged over 5, Jungle Jack's soft play area for all aged under 8, an outdoor play area with seating available, and a cafe which offers healthy snacks, hot and cold meals and drinks.

Plunge down the 40m aquaslide into the splash pool or ride the waves onto the shallow beach area. There are water cannons and geysers and a relaxing jacuzzi. This large pool caters for all needs with general and lane swimming, inflatable fun sessions and lessons for children and adults.

The spacious fitness gym houses an extensive variety of equipment, most with integrated entertainment provision. Friendly and knowledgeable staff are always on hand to make sure you get the most out of your visit. If you prefer a structured approach to fitness you can try one of over 50 classes held at the centre each week.

Cafe @ Leisure serves up a mouth-watering array of drinks and snacks and overlooks the pool and has separate seating in the soft play area.

Space Jack's Adventure Soft Playarea is a haven for under 8's - your little extra terrestrials can battle their way past the space bashers and through the giant ball pool on the ground floor, before tackling ramps, crawl tunnels and bridges over three floors!

Waterworld has an Ofsted registered creche where children under five years can stay and play for up to 2 hours, while you enjoy a swim, fitness class, gym session or just a well earned coffee at leisure.

Went to water babies session for first time yesterday. Was great for my 9 month old, never been swimming with her before. Beach effect get-in is helpful. Plenty of toys and different water features to keep her busy and interested. Water warm enough, especially near the jacuzzi. Lots of space in baby changing and good to have a play pen in there. Cafe very reasonably priced. Wish i'd known about the water babies sooner as private classes are so expensive - could it not be promoted more via health visitors in Tyne Valley?

User

We were near by camping and visited water world for the day. We had dinner in the cafe, went swimming, to the park and in the soft play. Had a great day the staff were lovely and helpful. Will definitely go back if we are in the area again

User

My 4 year old daughter absolutely loves her swimming lessons thanks to David her instructor who she is more than a little besotted with! I'm delighted with her confidence in the water thanks to David and remember Tom doing an equally great job with my Son Bobby. Extremely friendly, accommodating staff who have been around for both of my children growing up and they continue to go out of their way to help.

We are so lucky to have you on our doorstep! Thank you

User

Love the new gym equipment done some cardiovascular exercises yesterday, it was brilliant easy access to the machines, gives you a good workout with a programme to follow came away feeling great inside, can't wait to come back to start my healthy lifestyle journey xxx

User

Kids under 4 is free and the pool was lovely and warm next to the jacuzzi which was great for my 3 year old. You can stay as long as you want which is brilliant!

User

Kids loved it I couldn't get them out of the pool. 3 1/2 hours later they were shattered from all the fun on the inflatables, slide and waves....fab job guys p.s food was lovely in cafe and staff were very poilte and friendly.

User

Good day out water was a tad cold when you first get in but you warm up dodging the waves. Showers were lush really hot could of stayed in them all day. Food in cafe was spot on. Only criticism was lockers are still on old pound coins

User

An excellent day had! The kids absolutely loved it and the soft play is so relaxing because it's safe, they can't get out! Only improvement.......could've been told about the soft play lunch deal before we ordered! It wasn't advertised anywhere.

User

We love it here. The water is nice and warm. Only down fall for us is how expensive the soft play is. We pay £20 to go swimming and still need to pay full price for soft play.

User

First time here water was quite cold couldn't understand what the people were saying over the tannoy half the time and the changing room was a bit cramped and dirty, used the disabled toilet and shower and that was very dirty and flooded also the toilets next to the cafe were dirty, you really need to clean under the toilet seats better throughout the day I have a 3 year old boy we lift the seats up! Wasn't the cleanest but we would definitely go back loved the little park outside too

User

Water felt quite cold when we went. It cost £17 and we were only in the pool for about 20 minutes as my two year old was shivering.

The water slide is only open for 20 minutes every hour too so my eldest son had to miss out on this.

User

Took my 4 year old & 8 month old yesterday, pool was great and staff very welcoming & friendly 👍 However, female toilets near pool absolutely stunk of urine & just needed a good clean. I will visit again just hope this problem doesn't reoccur

User

The staff are really friendly, the classes are great, but the facilities are tired. I can't believe the jacuzzi hasn't worked for 4 years! It shouldn't advertise as having one if they won't fix it. It's a shame the place isn't better cared for because its a jem of a place.

User

I go here regularly with my 3year old daughter and she loves the pool but we went earlier this week and the smell of urine in the female toilets was absolutely disgusting-my daughter cried and wouldn't go in because the smell was so overpowering.

User

Floor in the changing rooms was filthy, signs very clearly say to take off outdoor shoes before entering or to wear the shoe covers provided but customers were brazenly flouting the rules and staff were not intervening.

We will come back but with flip flops.

User

Went to the cafe after are swim staff very rude came over to are table never spoke started lifting are teapots and took are tray away with a couple of are dinner plates and milk on leaving us are cups and teapots and cakes

User

Nice staff who are very helpful.

The amount of training facilities in the gym are sub standard which is fine if you weren't paying £40 a month.

The new gym plans don't seem to be that great either which was the leisure centres opportunity to do something brilliant.

User

Bit of a joke really. Rang up at 8am and asked when the pool would be open to take my 1 year old. I was told between 10am - 1pm. Got there at 11am and was turned away and told I had to wait 30 minutes.

User

Been going here for years and always enjoyed it but todays visit was disappointing. The female toilets near the showers around the pool were absolutely disgusting. The smell as you walked in was horrendous. The floors and sinks were dirty which was bad enough, but the actual toilets were revolting and looked like they hadn't been cleaned for weeks. I mentioned it to the lady on the reception desk and she didn't seem at all surprised. It has really put me off going back.
