Hughie has had a busy week and couldn’t make his regular class so he attended a courtesy class at Woodlawn instead.
Here he is practising holding onto the poolside independently. A really important personal survival skill which will eventually help Hughie to be able to climb in and out of the pool unaided as well as monkey walking🐒🐒🐒

NEW Swim Academy classes!
We are delighted to announce that due to popular demand, we are launching more Swim Academy classes in Wallsend and Walkergate:
* Level 1 (beginner / non-swimmers) Sunday afternoons at Beacon Hill School and Wednesday evenings at Benfield Sports Centre.
... * Level 2 (improver swimmers) Sunday afternoons at Beacon Hill School and Wednesday evenings at Benfield Sports Centre.
* Level 5 (elite swimmers) Wednesday evenings at Benfield Sports Centre.
The lessons will be 30 minutes long and suitable for primary school aged children from four to ten year's old. For level 1 and 2 classes the maximum ratios are four children: one teacher in the water. For level 5 there will be a maximum of ten children with one teacher on the poolside.

We started Puddleducks when my daughter was 8 weeks old and now at 7 months she is a real water baby and loves nothing better than dipping under water and kicking her legs! The instructors we have had have all been fantastic and they really personalise the activities for each child's abilities. We've had Claire for the majority of lessons and it's so nice sharing my daughter's development amd growing experience with our friendly group every week! We're here to stay!!

Two of my children go to lessons with puddle ducks. They have done for a couple of years, and both throughly enjoy it. Sure, there are times that other people have mentioned when unfortunately things get cancelled at last minute, but when it's for H&S reasons then you accept and move on. The biggest thing for my boys is the enjoyment they get from it while learning a valuable life skill. Not to mention the exercise it gives them. Thumbs up all round!! ����

Originally when i was looking into classes for my son I had puddle ducks in mind and another popular swimming class. I couldn't be happier with my choice to go with puddle ducks! I've had to ring a few times for advice and guidance and every member of staff I have spoken to have been so helpful and wonderful! I can't wait for my little one to progress further in the water thanks to puddle ducks :-)

My son has come on tremendously since joining puddle ducks, he is more confident & thoroughly enjoys his swimming. The teachers are great, I would highly recommend puddle ducks north east.

My little girl started her Puddle Ducks journey at 10 weeks old and at 3 years old it's now her favourite weekend activity. The class size is perfect with each child being given the time they need if their having one of those weeks where their just not feeling it. Her water confidence is amazing and it's all thanks to Puddle Ducks.

My little girl did her first class with Puddle Ducks when she was just 4 weeks old; she attended Floaties, Splashers and Kickers all with Julie at Woodlawn. Julie is a fabulous teacher who's confidence in the water with the children makes all those in her class feel at ease. I whole heartedly recommend Puddle Ducks North East.

My little boy loves his swimming classes on a Sunday and due to him going since he was 10weeks old, he is now 2 and a half and is a real water baby and very confident. It’s lovely seeing the enjoyment it brings him being in the water. He loved Nadine and Cara as his teachers and they were fab with him. We’ve had no problems with head office or the online system either�

My daughter Sienna's first time in the swimming pool was with Julie @ Puddleducks when she was only 8 weeks old. I was a little nervous at first with Sienna being so little but Julie was a very supportive teacher. The Puddleucks classes are brilliant and have really built Sienna's confidence in the water. She turned two only last month and is already eager to try swimming by herself.

My daughter Molly has been swimming with Julie at Woodlawn since she was 3 months old. She's now 3 years old and is so confident in the water and she absolutely loves her Puddleduck classes. She now swims unaided across the width of the pool and she looks forward to her class every week. I can't recommend this class enough.

My 4 year old daughter has been swimming with puddleducks since she was only 8 weeks old, and still does because she loves it! We have swam at several pools, all of which have been excellent, with teachers who are warm and welcoming, they instantly put you at ease. My 4 month old baby also swims with puddleducks and is enjoying it just as much as his sister!

Me and my little boy love Puddle Ducks, he benefits so much and all teachers and staff are amazing! Highly recommend! Xx

I love Puddleducks!

We have been going to Puddleducks since my little one was 5 weeks old. She is now 3 and a half and swam 5 meters all by herself a few weeks ago. What an achievement!

The teachers are all so lovely and supportive. They really take the time to get to know each child and will give them 1:1 guidance and achievable yet challenging goals.

No matter what teacher you have you know exactly what to expect as the classes are all so consistent which shows they are really well trained.

Excellent customer service from HQ and the personal area of the website is great.

It does seem like a lot of money to pay but you definitely get very good value for money and you and you child gets skills and confidence that will last a lifetime.

I just want to say a huge thank you to Nadine & Nicola for making our Puddleducks experience such an incredible one. My little girl Faye & I have been swimming with you since she was 6 months old. The girls are so engaging and really care about the little ones they teach. Faye looks forward to her class more than any other activity she does (which is a fair few!) It's been worth every penny teaching her to swim and learning a life long skill so young. She's very confident in the water - but even through her wobbles the girls have always been there to support us. Faye's Dad hadn't seen her swim for a long time due to always working at weekends but he was blown away when we took her to Australia earlier this year. He couldn't believe such a tiny person could dive in and swim widths all by herself. We are really proud of how far she's come and couldn't recommend Puddleducks enough. Bec X

Can't recommend puddle ducks enough. My 2 year old daughter has had just 3 lessons so far and in that time has gone from being nervous in deep water, to being Happy to try everything, a lot of which she's already able to do with minimal support. Can't believe how much her confidence has grown in such a short time.

Both my kids attended puddleducks at Woodlawn school, they loved them. Just a shame I had to go back to work :( the classes were a nice size, plenty room for loads of splashing. The water is lovely and warm, The teachers (Julie, charlotte and nadine) were very good at helping with Josie's nervousness in the water. Great experience from start to finish ���

Absolutely fantastic structured learning! Taken my LG since she was 1, wish I'd found it sooner! Now nearly 3, She is so confident in the water and this has come from the amazing foundation that has been set in place by this swimming school!! Great bonding time for us and actually helping to increase my own confidence in the water!! Highly highly recommend for any age to start! The sooner the better! X

So the classes for puddle ducks are great but I feel like we've poured quite Abit of money down the toilet. They have a really good personal one portal system so u can book catch ups but due to the summer holidays we couldn't swim in our chosen pool and still had 4 to use up due to my little girl being unwell and us being away to a family wedding 1 weekend. I was then advised I'd have to use all 4 before the date of my last class which has proven impossible. I wouldn't be allowed to add them onto the end Basically I ended up going to about 4 classes and the rest wasted. It's quite a lot of money guys to pull up front. So 5 stars for the teaching and location but expensive and make sure you attend all your classes as if you don't use your catch ups I. Time you'll lose out!

The lessons were good but the expensive. We booked the first 10 because no other swimming was available till 8 weeks old in our area, we couldn't attend 2 of the 10 and lost these lessons because the terms and conditions state if you dont log online to get a voucher they just take your money. The 2 we missed were because the parking at crown plaza is a nightmare and usually full. The facilities are poor with the priority being the adult spa users. 1 baby change in the disabled change and 2 so called travel cot between the 2 main changing rooms. We also found out after attending 8 lessons you cant take your partner to help with changing because this is also in therms and conditions at crown plaza. Overall a very expensive and disappointing service provider with poor facility. Shame because the teacher has been fantastic.
