"We have had a lovely very sunny few days here. Great location for our Jack Russells to run on the beach, and such glorious sunrises with miles and miles of sandy beaches. Very nice 'fishy' platter at The Jolly Fisherman in Craster overlooking the sea. Lovely walks at Low Newton and Lindisfarne - awesome castle. Too many places to explore on the doorstep. "Another fabulous February break we have again loved having such a cosy warm cottage to return to after days walking from castles to pubs and bsck again. Our walk from Craster to Low Newton was particularly enjoyable though the plan to return by bus didn't work out so we had to linger in The Ship Inn...oh dear..." "First stay at Puffin Cottage and what a lovely time we've had here. It was all booked at short notice but Nick made us feel very welcome. This place feels like a home away from home and we've both thoroughly enjoyed our short stay here. It's in a perfect location - nice walks on the beach and short drives to local tourist attractions. "Another third stay. Lots of happy customers, including us.Thanks for all the welcome gifts to the cottage. We had some ferocious winds this time but still saw blue sky every day. This spring Alnmouth Post Office will become Puffin Stores and will be refurbished and re-launched as the village’s affordable grocery and convenience store. We will retain our role as the Post Office and Newsagent, and continue to sell our fantastic range of sweets, 'Geordie' gifts, etc but also offer an extensive new range of goods and services to the community. This means we need... to employ full time and part time staff. Full training will be given, and previous experience of retail or Post Office work, though useful, is not as important as the right attitude! As we will be selling alcohol in the future, applicants must be aged 18 or over.
