New install coming along just nicely.

Was at a dance competition on Sunday with my daughter and was very pleased with the amount of security that was in place for our safety, well done and thankyou xx

User

Rainton meadows arena is home to unity gym fighter's. Brilliant venue and setup. Brilliant atmosphere never no trouble. Always has the best uwcb and ubc competition in the country.

User

I haven’t been to Rainton Meadows for some time but I know the Excellent Atmosphere, Staff and Brilliant Evening I enjoyed, will stay in my Memory forever.

User

Attended a charity boxing night and ally the barmaid made it that extra bit special!! She is a national treasure and so good at her job!!

User

Went to the Retro reunion here the main room is decent enough.certain bars only sell certain drinks, the place was boiling hot so the bars were busy.absolutely appalling when the bar staff refuse to give you a glass of water but hey you can buy a bottle for £2.50!

User

Was there last night for the boxing what a nite lovely venue but table services need to be quicker, more staff ... didnt like how people with out a table seat were allowed on tables either wen we paid more

User

Tempted to rate lower than this but to be fair I did not have a problem with the room or the seating arrangements. My issue is with the catering. I could understand running out of food if given the wrong numbers but what was served was dreadful. It was embarrassing watching the poor staff raking about in some chicken thing actually trying to find any chicken. It was like soup and I can't believe any catering manager would have allowed this to leave the kitchen. Had a great night other than the food.

User

Christmas party night food was fine supposed to be a group and compare the group consisted of the singer which was also the compare the other four members of the group were lime tin soldiers with instruments never moved a muscle or smiled the whole night might aswell of been a solo singer who was ok but not the best xmas party

User

Why serve drinks then ten seconds later get the 'security' to start shouting at people to leave immediately? For goodness sake, stop serving drinks half an hour before you decide to hassle people out the door, who, i might add have paid a fair wedge of cash to drink out of plastic picnic containers, eat less than attractive beige food, only to find themselves being herded like cattle in their best cocktail frock into a chaotic car park full of taxis who can't find the people they are picking up. There. I've said it.

User

Place was too cold for an all day conference yesterday even the toilet was freezing.... not good for asthma sufferers but the ladies serving tea n coffee were marvelous. Good job girls!

User

Don't you think it would have been best to clear a space for the kids that you asked to perform, to actually be able to perform without risk of being knocked over etc by people rudely dancing in between and around them?

User

brilliant seats to watch boxing. paid 35nquid which supposedly included waitress service. waited over an hour for first drink and then couldn't get another until we complained several times at having to wait for over 45 minutes. waitresses couldnt have cared less. in 5 and a half hours we got two drinks. absolute joke

User

We were there on Thursday 15 to attend a football presentation. It was over crowded with kids running about all over. Plus it took us over 45 minutes get served at the bar as there was o my 2 staff serving and one on the side line keeping the wall up .. when we eventually got served the young lad serving was trying to pour a later out but most of it was spilling over the glass and into the drip tray. When the drip tray was full he poured it down the sink, your costing must we right down. Then at the end off the night when leaving there was kids out side throwing stones across the car park.

User

Was there for a dance comp on Easter Sunday. The place was horrible. Glasses and bottles lying all over, stacked up on barrels outside of the venue.

Pile of sick in the doorway entrance off the previous night I presume.

I understand there was a boxing thing on the night before but surely knowing that there was another event happening, with hundreds of kids of all ages attending, they should have had cleaners in

User

I was there last night 15/6/17 for the Russell Foster Football Presentation... The sound system was appauling, far too hot, dirty tables on entering, far too many people crammed in, queues for the bar where behond funny with not enough bar staff, toilets dirty, food vile & over priced, £14.00 for a bottle of warm wine... Need I go on!!??

Needs a massive refurb dated & dirty.

I feel I have no option but to write this review of how bad the night was on Saturday 15th April

My partner had a boxing match on this night raising money for charity, me and 18 of our friends came to support him, firstly we were shocked at just walking in that nobody checked we even had a ticket, it's was absolutely crammed to the brim with people, I nearly died when we saw the que at the bar to get a drink, we were all wanting a drink desperately as it was that hot, we had to wait one hour before we got served, I was so stressed and hot and everyone spilling drinks all over because in my opinion their was far to many people in that one place, staff we're run raggered, and not enough bar staff to get through all these people, so we went to get our place and again everyone just bumping into each other and drinks getting split all over us, tried to get in the spirit of things but was very hard, tried once again to get to bar for another drink and again we waited over an hour, worried what would we do if his fight started while we were queuing all this time, my partner was in ring two and we tried all ways to get a good spot to see him but it was impossible because of the amount of people their, in 3 hours their we only managed to get two drinks, by time my partner had his fight got changed and came out to meet us we were so desperate to get out that place we all just left, my partner who fought that night said even he felt let down so badly that nobody even bothered with him to warm him up ready for the fight or give him encouraging words or anything, all in all this event was a total shambles, what a total let down after months of training so hard and gearing up to this fight night, I wonder if anyone of you's will respond to this and shed some light on why the hell was this so badly organised letting not only my partner down but every single person their to support these fights for charity :(

User

For a facility that provides catering it's completely unacceptable to run out of food when only half the guests have eaten,

User

Far too hot, far too many people crammed into the place dread to think what would happen if there was a fire. Went to use the toilet and there was dried up poo smeared all over the toilet roll holder and it wasn't fresh!!. I was sat upstairs and the table cloth was far too big for the table. Hence my foot got caught in it and nearly had an accident. The chairs were old fashioned and far to heavy to pull in and out. Couldn't wait to get home! Desperately needs refurbished!

User

Attended a charity boxing doo last night to support a few friends who were fighting. There were 4 tables of us. We came in April for the last event and had standing tickets and getting drinks at the bar was a nightmare so we thought this time we will get tables and pay the (£15) extra p.p for waitress service. What a joke that was. We arrived and were seated at 5pm. It wasn't until 7.30 that someone came to take our drink order. We gave her the £40 for the round and it still hadn't turned up by 8pm so we asked for our money back and left the venue. This is not okay.

The few staff that were working and were clearly stressed. It doesn't take a genius to work out that a venue that size needs plenty of competent staff.

Why not have 1 waiter per table and then they can really look after everyone?? The only positive I can take from this is we spent no money inside so we left and had a brilliant night out in Durham instead. I would appreciate a reply as to why you do not employ enough staff for such large events.
