Went with friends for husband birthday. very friendly staff . Meal was fantastic. Not badly priced . All 4 0f us had starter,main and desert.

We visit the Red Mezze often, the lunchtime special is excellent value. Can't recommend enough.

Very reasonable lunch special menu with lots of choice. I had humous then chicken shush which was lovely.

Restaurant was quite busy but we were seated immediately. Drink order taken in good time and given enough time to order. Tried to order sides, but was assured that meals came with required dudes. Good came swiftly and was tender and tasty and as promised - had the required sides . It was hubby's first visit and he usually is not a big eater, but he polishes off his whole meal and declared it was the best he had eaten for ages. Result! Would go every week if I could.

Really love this place. It’s been going for years. Food is tasty, authentic and they are very accommodating regarding changing the dishes to leave out gluten products and make them adaptable for me to eat. Staff are very polite and friendly and the decor inside is very warm and cosy too!! You don’t usually have to book either so last minute late suppers before a concert at the arena are perfect 👌🏻

It's been a while since I've been there but they never disappoint, the service is quick, the food is great, very fresh tasting and aromatic..Why did I leave it so long...I would definately recommend it, fabulous!!..�

Highly recommend the Creamy Chicken. This meal was 2nd to none. Loads of tender chicken, sauce was lovely. Service was 5* & all at a reasonable price. Highly recommend the place.

Having never eaten Turkish food before our daughter suggested Red Mezze whilst we were visiting her in Newcastle. The food was absolutely delicious, well cooked and large portions. We ordered far too much! The staff were very polite and attentive and the cost was very reasonable. We will certainly go there again. Thank you!

Has the special lunch yesterday with my husband, food was lovely and good value.

Had a great lunch today, the staff were really warm and friendly with the kids which made them relax and the food was brilliant. I had chicken guvec which I've had in Turkey several times and it was definitely as good. Husband and kids loved theirs too we will certainly go back. Really great value as well many thanks :)

Great food and service. As a disabled person the toilets were inaccessible but I had called ahead and knew this. Lady was helpful and apologetic. Sat outside as weather was fab [Thursday 31st May]. We had choices from the lunch menu, really lovely tasty and freshly cooked food. My friends regularly eat Turkish food in London and the south and they both agreed that this was the best Turkish food they had had in a restaurant. I had the vine leaves then the the Chicken Guvec from the well priced lunchtime menu. Despite the lack of an accessible toilet, you get 5 stars. Well done!

Good food, and a happy and relaxing true Turkish atmosphere. Waiters welcoming and and very entertaining, free deserts to die for! Will be back! Lilian and Lynne x

Came across this place by chance and decided to give it a try. Quick service and food was delicious. All reasonably priced aswell.Added bonus as the sun was shining so got a table outside!. No doubt next time I'm in Newcastle and need food I'll be returning here.

Anytime there’s someone worth watching at the Sage we go to Gateshead early, park up and then walk up the hill to this most excellent of restaurants.

Good, quick service and excellent food.
