Loved it. Some things need addressing, beds wasn't made up on arrival but staff soon got someone there to make them very quickly. Music blasting out & chatter from a nearby van till 4am. Which was not good when our little grandson is being wakened up. 2hr sleep is not good after a 5hr drive up there. A big thank you to manager Debbie. A really big well done to Tom the new sales rep & a big thank you for the BBQ & beers/wine on Sunday. Amazing day. All in all its lovely for a break with our grandchildren staff really do try to help you. One suggestion, get the resort manager who has a bald head to be a lot more polite to guests. Passed him several times he walked past you as if you was something he trod in. Not once spoke to any guests or asked if they was happy. Get your head out your arse mate. And don't give the people who live on site 24/7 the privilege of using the pool. It's should be for guests only. Anyway regardless of the faults the grandchildren loved it. We will definitely come again. Thank you for a lovely bank holiday weekend.

just visited with my mum who requires a wheel chair as her mobility is not so good. Good location for us, near a bus stop, very friendly and supportive staff

User

We’ve jus returned from a 3 night stay here (was a sun holiday so paid pennies) and was pleasantly surprised. Lovely little site, pool area, bar, show room etc. Immaculately clean and decorated caravan. Lovely and warm too. Staff nice and friendly. For what we paid, can’t grumble!

User

We had a lovely mid week break. Our caravan was brand new and spotless. We had a couple of small issues that were dealt with promptly. The staff we met were all really friendly and worked really hard, especially the ladies in the restaurant which was understaffed - there was a long wait for food and drinks but we weren’t in a rush and the food was very good.

User

Just wanted to give praise where it's due as so many people use these pages to complain about things! Whilst i haven't been yet, i just wanted to say a massive "thank you" to Sian who helped me with my pre-holiday requests yesterday. She was brilliant, helpful and a joy to speak to. I can't wait to arrive in july and have seat on our decked area and relax with my family. Here's hoping our 4 hour drive will be worth it!

User

Just home from a 4 night break at Regent Bay.

Caravan was immaculate. Perfect for 4 Adults 1 teen and 2 children.

Site was spotless and food in the restaurant was lovely so if I could I would give 5 stars for these three points.

The onsite shop is basic but has the essentials you need (asda is only a few minutes drive away if you needed more)

Swimming pool is very small and the changing facilities aren't the best.

Kids play park is extremely disappointing. Very small. Not all kids like to spend all of their trip in the arcade.

All in all a good break.

We got back from regent bay yesterday after privately renting a caravan (which was lovely and I have no complaints at all about our accommodation) the park on the other hand I payed £60 for passes on the day we got there which I wish I hadn't bothered!!! They wasn't checked once while we were there for the week and I think they are exceptionally over priced for the level of entertainment and facilities on the site! The pool is tiny (lifeguards lovely though) there was only ever 1 person working behind the bar who was taking orders, serving drinks, taking out food orders, cleaning tables so a lot of the time you had a long wait to be served however when you do get your food it is nice. The entertainers in the club looked like they didn't want to be there and the 2 girls on reception who are probably about 10 years younger than me speak to you like you're stupid! You definatly need to review the prices of your passes as I've paid less at haven and there sites are a million times better

User

Initially thought the caravan was good. We had to ask for the cot for the baby. Next required a dust pan and brush and thirdly there was no bedding for the put-you-up. The caravan then turned out to be a virtual death trap. The cooker had no ignition and the oven door appeared to fall off its hinges everytime it was opened. A Pyrex oven dish cracked in the oven and I badly cut myself on the broken pieces. My son was clearing the table, lifted his head and cracked it on a glass lampshade that was above it. The curtain track had no stoppers and spent half the week putting the curtains back up. To top it off the kitchen bin lid didn't fit which must be a health hazard.

The facilities for buying food etc was a lot to be desired unless you only wanted bread and milk at extortionate prices.

The holiday itself wasn't too bad and the family enjoyed it although we got thrown out of the entertainment centre at 11.30 as we were enjoying ourselves too much.

User

As an owner I'd really love to say that we love the park but unfortunately things are going downhill fast. Lots of empty pitches testify that we're not the only ones feeling this way.

Why is there no Xmas party for kids this year? We spend Xmas here and it would be nice if the bar was open but because they don't want to pay for bar staff it stays closed. None of us expect entertainment through the winter months but surely a 12 month site should have some facilities open.

We keep getting phone calls asking if we're interested in upgrading but why on earth would anyone want to upgrade when it seems that we're getting less for our money.

User

We spent the weekend here after having 3 holidays here last year which where amazing. This time we was disappointed as when we got to the site the pool had a issue and was off till the Sunday so two out of our three days we was unable to use the pool. We was given the option of going to another site to use the pool there but thought this was a lot of messing with two adults two children all the swimming stuff so didn't bother. I had paid to upgrade to a silver caravan and when we arrived in the caravan there was a nail on one of the single children's beds this had Come out of the curtain tie backs stains on one of the duvets so we choose not to use it. The shop was closed earlier than it used to be closing at 5 and reception closing at 5 so if you needed something after 5 it's tough. the entertainment prizes and activities had changed dramatically since last year. It seems as if the site has been taken over or under new management and seems to be going downhill compared to last year I have got two other holidays already booked this year so will see if anything changes but if this would have been my first visit to this site it certainly would have been my last am hoping there is some improvements to get it back to the standard for last year x

User

The caravan itself was nice to stay in beds were comfortable but there was nothing to do at the complex swimming pool arcade and entertainment hall were tiny and the park had one slide and a climbing frame. We never spent any time in caravan park and had to spend all day/night in blackpool to keeps children amused.

User

Well what can I say... Arrived Monday... Caravan number 1 not what we paid for... Paid for an 8 berth Buckingham carvan was given a six.. Went back to reception.... To be told there was no 8 berths left in the park.... Seriously.. ..to then be told by a fluke (by a bloody fluke... Not fluke needed we ordered an 8 berth we should have been given an 8 berth) someone wanted to change caravan to be closer to their friends. So went to caravan number 2.... 8 berth perfect.. So we thought..... Disgusting... Smelt old and of mould and mildew.... On closer inspection every curtain was covered in mould....with young children and a severe asthmatic in tow this place was not even an option. So rang reception again.... Offered another caravan or curtains to be changed.... But because the mould spores were in the air we had to change caravans... Offered an 80 refund aswell which we are grateful for even if it does take 7-10 days.... Caravan number 3 again a six berth... Which made sleeping arrangements with the children very awkward... No bed sheets had to be given some then not given enough.... Nice caravan though... First day of our holiday ruined by stress... If someone want to ring me go for it because overall we were very disappointed. Went to the reseraunt on site on the first day as so stressed and the kids were starving after hours of being pissed around... Stood at the bar for 20 minutes waiting to be served..... 20 minutes... They weren't even busy... Then our food came out... The food was lovely (would really recommend the fish and chips) Would have been nice to eat it for cutlery though... Was given cutlery for my last chip... Seriously.. The on site shop is laughable... OK if you wanna pay too much more milk and bread... Children's play park is tiny and pathetic. . Children's evening entertainment.... The sound needs turning down a little.. Too loud for Little children! One of our party had her 5th birthday whole we were there and we were told that she would be given a present at the children's entertainment... And we weren't expecting much... But a rubber wristband is taking the mick a bit isn't it....not expecting them to give her the crown jewels or anything but a little more effort wouldn't have gone a miss... We're still waiting for money to clear in the bank for the refund... We will not be visiting again.... Absolutely fuming... I'd avoid this place if you can...

User

We booked a 3 bedroom caravan for a family party locally - 3 nights from 20th to 23rd October. On arrival, check in was easy, when we arrived at the accommodation, there was only one light bulb working and an unsecured window in the 'lounge' area. I immediately reported this and the bulbs were replaced quickly. The window however was marked as urgent for the following morning when maintenance started at 8am....with a 6 year old and an 18 month old this was worrying. When we left, the window was still unsecured - the pool entry was a joke with receptionists arguing with the lifeguards about wristbands - who were the only friendly members of staff on the park. certainly no way as good as my childhood memories and certainly won't be a part of my grandchildrens as we will never return here

User

So arrived on Monday , and after going out for the evening and returning around 10 we pulled the pull out bed to find it infested with ants and looking around there was food bits everywhere, so we called security who managed to find us a different caravan, so go was told to go speak to the manager the following morning, was told that there was no one into Thursday, then Tuesday night we return to a load of kids unsupervised in the caravan in front of us, so yet again phoned-security after they were warned they still kept people up , then weds night same again this time we took it into our own hands and told to shut up or there be trouble , to add to this the was very limited kids entertainment, the service at the bar was slow and shocking service warm beer staff looked like they want to walk out was told that the lack of entertainment was due to it being non peak season (well don’t advertise saying it for kids then ) they also said they wasn’t prepared for how many kids that was here surely you booking system would tell you that before .

The only good point of this holiday was the security team and the guys at the arcade

Wouldn’t advise to come here

User

Play park is tiny, bins were overflowing with rubbish lying all over the place, the caravan we had was right next to a main road traffic noise kept us awake most of the night, swimming pool was chaotic kids were jumping in the pool landing on my son who was swimming lifeguards didn't care, night time entertainment was rubbish compared to other parkdean places , only good thing about this place is the arcade & the arcade staff are great. We definitely won't go back.

The caravan itself was nice to stay in beds were comfortable but there was nothing to do at the complex swimming pool arcade and entertainment hall were tiny and the park had one slide and a climbing frame. We never spent any time in caravan park and had to spend all day/night in blackpool to keeps children amused.

Play park is tiny, bins were overflowing with rubbish lying all over the place, the caravan we had was right next to a main road traffic noise kept us awake most of the night, swimming pool was chaotic kids were jumping in the pool landing on my son who was swimming lifeguards didn't care, night time entertainment was rubbish compared to other parkdean places , only good thing about this place is the arcade & the arcade staff are great. We definitely won't go back.
